The Tipsy Crawfish

Had the Cobia special tonight. Fantastic. Everything about the whole dish paired together wonderfully.The new chef & new owners are working hard to win over McKinney.

Enjoyed the zydeco music on Fat Tuesday! Place was packed. They took awhile to bring out our orders-can't short staffed but they were exceptionally nice and did their best. It's decorated great and the boiled crawfish were awesome! Group I was with did not care for the potato salad. King cake was delicious! Will definitely return to sample other menu items.

Ordered door dash chicken sandwich is $20 - the chicken was super thin, the tomato, lettuce, wilted, bread, floppy, and soggy- flavor bland. Cup of red beans just meh and hardly any rice given. Only thing good was queso. I don't recommend here.

Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere!... the voodoo punch drink was delicious... everything was great!

This was our second time here. Interior gives a very rustic Cajun military vibe. The first time we played it really safe by getting catfish and fries (which was pretty good). This time we took a little risk. Being a full blown Louisianian I tend to stay away from Cajun inspired restaurants lol. Anywho I went with the seafood gumbo which was good but was absolutely not a "Cajun" gumbo. It had more of an etoufee taste. Do not get me wrong it was good! For dessert we ordered the beignets which were an absolute HIT!!! They were fresh and fluffy.

We went to this place about a year ago, shortly after it had opened. It was pretty good at that time. We just went back and it must have changed ownership. We had seafood gumbo which was very bland, didn't taste like gumbo. Had one shrimp in it and a small piece of chicken. I had the crawfish etouffee and it too was very bland, thick pasty, had two small pieces of crawfish. We would have sent it back but we felt bad for them. It was 6:30 at night and no one was in the place. We do not recommend this place.

This was our 3rd time in since the switch from EJ Wills. Frankly we only went tonight to hear Acoustic Mayhem! The food is way too salty. Our server was so scattered. The drinks were ok...nothing fabulous for the price. The best part of the night was the band and all of the TVs on different sports. They had a chef consultant who was everywhere except the kitchen most of the night. Whatever they paid him was WAY too much or they wouldn't have been putting that food out! We won't be back.

BEST RESTAURANT EVERRRR!! The staff is the best and the food is amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Get the Crab dip, seafood platter, and beignets. Also ask about the bartenders special. Really feels like you're in NOLA!

My first time visiting and I will not return. I went about an hour before close one evening. The staff were very friendly and prompt but the food was not good. I ordered the corn bisque and it was soooo salty I couldn't enjoy it. I asked the waitress to go back to the kitchen and taste it and she agreed so they removed from my bill. Otherwise it would've been a great dish! Same with the platter - it came out hot & fresh but salty. At least the hush puppies were good. Anyway, I won't return. Not my type of ambiance and the food was too salty.

Ordered on DoorDash and the restaurant was working on our order for over an hour and a half. The restaurant itself would not answer the phone when called, and all of the multiple different dashers who waited on our food said that the workers ignored them when they tried to ask about the order. The $20 salad was big enough to be a side, and the food arrived cold.
