I can still give five stars even if I decided not to dine in this very immaculate establishment. The people that were inside (not sure if they were the owner's or not) but they greeted me with lots of smiles, friendliness, and hospitality that's for sure. I'd found this Black owned restaurant on one of my Instagram feeds that comes through from time to time when I'm on Instagram. The reviews on Yelp were also good. Guess you are wondering Why I left? I had my mouth and pallet set on trying their complimentary margaritas as well as trying some of the foods. To find out that their Margarita machine was down wasn't a good look. Honestly this is what draws folk to certain establishments if you specialize in certain things this is what the customers are hoping and wanting when they come to dine in a lot of restaurants. This is why The Golden Archie's aka McDonald's has complaints and stay in the tabloids. The ice cream machine is ALWAYS BROKEN. I'd love to revisit this restaurant when their Margarita machine is up and running properly. Until then, I wish this business nothing but Great success and continued Blessings.

I really wanted to love this place. They are new and I see the potential. However, let me give you the good, bad and ugly truth.Ambiance-4 Stars-The inside is nicely decorated. It's bright and happy. I love the cheerful colors. It's really cute and comfy. It also was a bit warm inside. The decor is cool and the don julio vase with the flowers is fun. Customer Service-4 Stars-They were very friendly and hospitable. Food- Presentation-3 Stars-Everything looked great and loaded with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and lettuce. Food-3 Stars-There was no wow factor. The taste was average. I wanted my food to be good or great, but something was missing. The steak taco was decent and the tostados the same. The three layer effect was sorta cool on the tostada. I can say the meat was seasoned and not bland so that was a plus. The red salsa sauce is vibrant, yummy and spicy. The green salsa sauce was blah. Maybe if they give a slice of lime to squeeze on your food. Something was missing for me. I am always happy to try a small minority owned business and support them. Overall I had a decent experience. I wish them success. Dallas is a tough crowd with so many restaurants. I may try them again down the road. The jerk salmon taco might be a winner. So that may be my 2nd chance.

This is going to be my new favorite taco spot in Addison. When we entered into the establishment, we were instantly greeted by what seemed to be the owners of the taco kitchen. They were pleasant and extremely friendly. We gazed through the menu and they let us know they were actually in the process of adding salmon jerk tacos, and told us that it was a customer favorite. They did NOT lie, I ordered those tacos and instantly fell in love. It's salmon seasoned in jerk seasonings on a corn tortilla topped with a mango salsa. Idk where the heat comes from (salsa or salmon) but honey, I almost broke a sweat in that their restaurant from the spice. However I LOVED it, it was full of flavor & I already cannot wait to go back (as well as try to make some at home lol). They also provided a complimentary margarita which was also tasty. We also started with the queso and cheese which was also good. At first glance, we didn't think we'd get full off of the entrees but sure enough, at the end we were both full and pleasantly surprised.

Great tacos! ... I tried this place out because a friend told me about some really good jerk salmon tacos so I decided to try it for myself! When I entered I was greeted by a really nice lady who was ready to help. This day it was a bit hot inside because they were having A/C issues. Not their fault.. either way the place was CLEAN! I already knew what I wanted because of word of of mouth but she did tell me popular items & gave me other suggestions. I order the jerk salmon tacos that came with beans & rice, I also ordered a side of elotes. The tacos was PERFECT! I really enjoyed them, however I told there was no meat in the beans but I def had meat or some sort in my beans, no biggie didn't eat it.. there was only a spoon full of rice which was good as well. The elotes were good.I def will go back for the tacos!

Didn't know what to expect but boy oh boy! What a secret treasure for a tasty Tex Mex treat! I loved Taco Kitchen and will be back. The 3 layer tostado was delicious and FILLING. Also, don't sleep on their homemade salsas. This is the type of Tex Mex I love, full of seasoning and flavor and just pure deliciousness. Cheers to the folks behind Taco Kitchen in Addison!

Stopped in before heading back to Chicago because I had heard so many good things and I was not disappointed! I got the shrimp, brisket and steak tacos with a side of queso and chips for dine in. The tacos were fresh and packed with flavor. The queso was delicious and had the perfect consistency. I could tell the it was made in house and not that yucky processed stuff. When I spoke with the owners, who are very friendly and attentive, they confirmed that it is made fresh daily. The real star of the show was my to-go order. I got the Mexican Shrimp and Grits with the bread pudding bites for dessert. The shrimp and grits were a unique spin on the traditional Cajun version. The chorizo gravy paired well with the shrimp and cheesy grits creating a flavor packed meal that I couldn't stop eating even after I was full to the brim. The bread pudding bites surprised me because I do not usually eat the dish as I am not a fan of the texture. They had a firm texture while still offering the traditional flavors of bread pudding. I was very pleased. My to-go order was so delicious that I had to call the restaurant to tell them how impressed I was. As if you needed another reason to visit, there are free margaritas served with all purchases. Run, don't walk, to give them a try! You will not be disappointed.

This food was absolutely amazing. I had the jerk salmon tacos with Mexican corn. The salmon was seasoned well with just the right amount of spice. The mango salsa!! Omg y'all! I want a jar of it! It was soooo freaking good. My Girlfriend had the shrimp quesadilla it was huge, and super cheesy! The Mexican corn was fire too!! 100/10 would recommend! Did I mention it was black owned! The owner was here and was very sweet! The food is fresh! I have nothing but good things to say!!
