"The Space Dallas" is a wedding venue that offers the perfect blend of urban chic and creative freedom. Its distinctive character, adaptability, and commitment to making each wedding a true reflection of the couple's love story make it an ideal choice for those seeking a one-of-a-kind celebration. My experience at "The Space Dallas" was truly memorable, and I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to couples looking to craft a wedding that is as unique and vibrant as their love story.https://djtommyscott.com/https://www.photoboothsofdallas.com/

The Space is just what the name implies. A giant space. It's near Deep Ellum, so the location itself isn't bad. I've been to a few local shows there in the "pop punk"-ish genre. It's definitely not one of my favorite venues for concerts. I hear they host a lot of other types of events there too, so clearly music isn't their only moneymaker (which is good, because the sound kinda leaves something to be desired. The Good: The place is relatively big, if a bit nondescript. Although I can see how you could decorate and jazz it up a bit - could be a nice, urban-style backdrop if you were willing to bring stuff in. There's a parking lot about half a block away that fits a decent amount of cars. Sometimes there's a guy there making you pay $5, sometimes there's not. I have yet to figure out if he's just a really smart scam artist making people pay, or if he's hired by the venue. The Bad: Holy sweltering heat. For such a big space, they had ONE vent blowing cold air. I literally thought I was going to expire at one point. I didn't pay $10 to go into a sauna filled will un-showered teenage boys. *shiver*The sound...is not great. I heard quite a few of the bands complain about the PA, or lack thereof. Again, isn't not a "concert" venue, so maybe that just comes with the territory. They. Ran. Out. Of. Beer. I'm not sure I have to expand on that any further. The front door faces the Live Oak Lofts (or one of the buildings over there), so they don't let people stand and mingle outside. Generally I get that, but may I remind you it was about 125 degrees in that place. It's not the worst place that I've been to, but as I said before, just not one of my favorites.

The actual Space was a fine venue, nothing too fancy on the eyes, but it got the job done! More importantly, the event we did there--a tamale and tequila night--was very fun!We had a professional chef show us the ropes of making our own tamales. Granted these aren't as difficult as I thought they were, but it is still fun to prep your own food. As the tamales cooked, we went to the back of the venue and tasted the different tequila drinks that were prepared for us (small shot sizes). A fun time at a cool place. The coordinator was very helpful and was quick to respond to questions.~Carpe Diem~

I hardly ever give reviews especially bad ones but it's been a whole year plus and I am still bothered by what happened. Let me set the stage by saying that My daughter and my cousin were getting married a couple months apart and both were looking at The Space as their venue.my daughter an family met with the owners Aurelia and Richard and had an enjoyable meeting. In that meeting we discussed... us or our guest paying for parking; us having our own servers; us bringing our own dishes....everything was agreed on and she would let us know when the contract would be ready to signed. We went to sign the contract and pay the deposit on the day that my cousin was there viewing the venue. We told Aurelia that we were family and that we had the same Wedding Coordinators. Apparently the Coordinators went to visit the venue regarding my cousins wedding contract and there was an issue. So, out of the blue one day my oldest daughter (not getting married) gets a phone call from Aurelia telling her that our Coordinator was not allowed in the facility and we would need to use someone else to coordinate the wedding because ours was rude and difficult. My daughter told her that she had the wrong person and that she would pass the message on the the Bride. The Bride called to see what the problem was because we were settled... or so we thought. She was upset because our Coordinators were trying to understand why my cousin couldn't bring in dishes...why she couldn't use her own servers and why my cousin couldn't bring in alcohol and her bartender anymore (which was in her contract that she could). The problem was that The Space had just gotten their liquor license and she wanted them to use theirs and they were saying that they had already bought liquor and hired a bartender. When my cousin and Coordinators did agree they went on to tell them that they were trying to change everything and they were like no it is in the contract. The Space then insisted that she hire their servers because a caterer would have to remove and stack the dishes... it was explained to The Space that the lady we had doing that was a caterer. Well we told Aurelia that she got us mixed up with our cousin's event and that they were there on the cousins behalf and not ours...we didn't even have a bartender, but that there would be a problem with us because she was changing what we had agreed to. She apologizes and said that we were the nice ones and she still wanted us to have our event there but she was going to give them their deposit back. I told her that she would still have to work with the same Coordinator and she insisted that I get a new one. I also told her that we would need our contract to remain the same because we split the cost of dishes with my cousin and that we were still going to use servers. She said everything was fine except the her working with the coordinator. I asked her to refund us our deposit because she would be there. She told me no she would not refund us because she wanted to keep us because we were nice but would give them their refund because they were difficult ... I told her that she was punishing us for being nice??? I asked the Coordinators what happened on that final visit and they let me hear a recording that was hard to listen to. Aurelia and Richard were EXTREMELY RUDE to them and would talk over them not allowing them to say anything. It was sad to believe that they operate their business in such a disrespectful manner! I was appalled! Richard actually kicked them out of the venue... I wish I could post it just so they can hear themselves behave so badly. And, she did have us mixed up because on the recording she said my cousins name and said she is nice and so is her grandmother (talking about my daughter and my mother) because one of our Coordinators is my cousins grandmother! but she argued me down when i tried to explain to her that she had us mixed up,Oh and what the other review said about parking was true... Aurelia was going to charge us $350. to rent the parking lot for our guest. Then she came back and said she would take it out of the contract because the parking lot belonged to someone else and they couldn't charge us to park there... WHAT??!!I would take to heart the reviews posted... I wish I had.On a good note my daughters reception turned out BEAUTIFUL because God allowed us to met a man named Jim who had a facility called LEVEL TWO 1250 Slocum #758, 75207 it is in the design district and it is absolutely gorgeous!

My fiancé and I were excited to host our engagement party at The Space last month. When we went to take a look at the venue about a month prior to the event date, the owner, Richard, gave us a date we would be able to go in and set everything up so we wouldn't have to go in the day of before the event. We thought this was amazingly nice of him..until of course the day before the date he promised us he was not responding to texts or calls along with his wife. I got back in touch with the event coordinator and she said he won't be able to make it because he's on vacation. Like...okay? I suppose only a couple hosting an engagement party can understand the importance of not being left hanging when there's so much to do?! Chelsea, the event coordinator, was good about communicating, but I wish Richard was better about sticking to his words to make our event as smooth as possible.

Attended a wedding here. Got there early enough to park in a reserved lot for $5. A bit sketchy and covered in broken glass but fairly close to the entrance. The staff was effecient, the lighting was cool, and it was large enough for dancing, etc.

From my first meeting with Aurelia, the owner and event coordinator, I knew The Space was the perfect venue for my wedding. I told her my vision for the day...low-key brunch buffet with never ending mimosas...man, she and Chef Richard delivered!!!! The contract was upfront. There were no hidden fees or up charges. Easy communication! I simply dropped off my centerpieces and decor the day before, and I walked in the next morning to everything I envisioned and more. The staff took excellent care of my family and friends from the moment they arrived. Aurelia even brought a tray of mimosas upstairs to the bridal suite, which was perfect for the "please don't let me fall while I'm walking down the aisle" jitters. Everyone was going on and on about how wonderful the food was, but unfortunately I hadn't had a chance to eat. Chef Richard heard me say that I hadn't gotten a chance to eat but that I was content knowing everyone enjoyed themselves. Next thing I know, he's handing me a bag with 2 to-go containers. Talk about above and beyond! I'd recommend this venue 100 times over again. Aurelia and Richard, thank you for creating the perfect day for us.
