Brought my son here. We had a great time painting 2 figurines. We picked up the items the following weekend. We were happy to see how they looked after being put in the kiln. We will be back!

Such a cute place! My boyfriend and I came here for date night and it was so much fun. We sat down to paint our pottery and the staff was so incredibly helpful! Offered us more paint if they saw we were running low and just overall very kind! After you're done with your piece, you hand it to one of the staff members and they take care of the rest! We were able to pick ours up in about 2 days and they came out so stinking cute! 10/10 would definitely recommend for couples looking for a cute date or for a small birthday party!

Our family has been painting pottery for 15+ years and this was the first time we've been to a place where they rationed out their paint and limited us by number of colors. Usually we are able to select the item we wish to paint, find a seat, then choose how ever many colors we want and set to work on our project. Here, we choose our item then had to ask the person to provide us with a squirt of a select limited colors to take to our table to paint. If we needed additional paint they would provide it, but it felt very controlled and micromanaged. It really set our creativity off when working on our projects and then folks kept coming by checking on what we were doing - making suggestions ... which was ANNOYING. If I have a question, I will ask, but please don't provide unsolicited suggestions and try and sway my and my children's creative thoughts/ideas. My children are use to working on painted pottery on turn tables, using tape, using stencils, using sponges, and all kinds of artistic aids which were not provided or offered here without asking. It felt like the owner was trying to save a buck so they decided to ration out the amount of paint and harass the customers so they would finish and leave so they can turn tables. Not a place I would return to. Too experience too boot compared to the other places we've been.

I brought my daughter and her friend to do some painting this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by The Painted Teacup. So many awesome things to say about the decor of this place! At the entrance of the store there is a colorful bike adorned with flowers that really draws the eye in. The window is decorated with hanging paint brushes and teacups, I absolutely loved the idea! There are several photo moments, one being paint falling from the sky and an umbrella that you can take the picture underneath. So inventive! The other is a photo op of a jail lineup where you can hold your sign with all the fun painted tea cup info. There were beautiful blue chairs for a sitting moment to the side and two fabulous Frida chairs flanking a table in the back. I found myself finding something interesting to look everywhere I looked, including a Bob Ross bobblehead at the register. Very well laid out and fabulously designed.I did think that the pottery selections were a bit overpriced compared to the other pottery painting places I have been to, but they did have some fun things to pick from. I painted a large coffee mug, my daughter painted a vase and her friend painted a plate. The amount of paint that they give you is pretty miniscule, I found myself multiple times needing a refill and the workers wanted to handle that themselves. They were very friendly and helpful but multiple times they were nowhere to be found and I was just sitting there waiting. One worker was sitting and painting with her mom and walking around painting something in her hand, so had her hands full.It was a beautiful spot and definitely a fun area with boba tea and restaurants right next door so you can make a fun day of it.There was no studio fee and the items will be glazed and fired, ready to pick up in a week.I will definitely be back with some girlfriends to paint in the future!

HOW FUN! ...and what a great way to make a lasting memory. It was over 100 degrees so we opted for some indoor fun on this weekend afternoon. We brought the whole family and painted some porcelain pieces - they have a huge selection to choose from, plates, cups, goblets, figurines and more.Sheila explained the process, helped get our paints and brushes and showed us all the templates that were available. She was super friendly and helpful. While we were there they were getting ready for a birthday party and they do such an amazing job that this is where our next birthday party will be.See y'all again real soon!

My daughters and I were searching for a great place to spend a few hours to paint pottery. It's been quite a few years since we painted pottery so we were really looking forward to the day. Thank you to the reviews on Yelp, we found the best of the best at The Painted Teacup! It is independently owned and not a chain which was important to us. I sent an email to the business at 10pm requesting to reserve a spot for the following day. I wasn't expecting it to be answered until the next morning and to my surprise, I had a response shortly after sending it with a confirmation for the 3 of us. Walking into The Painted Teacup was magical and we knew if would be before we even stepped foot inside. The decorated bicycle in front of the business, the paintbrush art hanging in the window of the shop, the signage...we just knew it would be fabulous and it didn't disappoint! The creativeness of the decor is beyond amazing! I had to just stop and take it all in for a few minutes. Cayman and her mom have made an amazing space. It's eclectic, whimsical, beautiful and creative. Everywhere you look, there is something new to discover. Dallas, the resident 4-legged doggie hangs out in the corner in her princess bed and happily greets customers. Don't worry, if you are fearful of dogs, Cayman will leave her leashed. We are dog lovers and welcomed her to roam. Such a mellow and sweet dog, she made our day (you too Cayman!) Nothing better than pet and paint therapy all in one visit! The pottery selection was vast and there is something for everyone to paint. There are plenty of examples of painted pieces to look at if you have creative block. There are stickers and stencils to help with your painting if desired and plenty of paint colors to select from. In front of each paint color to choose from, there is a small child size teacup and saucer that is painted and fired so you know the outcome of that particular color. This was really helpful. Cayman provided all the instruction we needed to work on our projects. The tables are perfectly set for all the incoming artists. With brown paper 'placemats' to set your piece on, draw on or make notes, it was so much better than working on a paper towel! Napkins were also provided but the favorite part was the water for washing brushes off was in a big teapot. I love how the theme of this shop is carried through to details like this! The paint brushes were of good quality too. This is important! There are an abundance of stylus tools too for making any size dot/polka dot you need.Speaking of teacups...You will see them in pictures (check out the first bathroom) of various stars sipping tea, on a candelabra, and placed throughout the store. My pictures don't do it justice, you must go see for yourself. They do allow byob if you want to come paint and sip some wine.We opted for Boba Tea which was sold just a couple doors down. There is also a quaint coffee shop a few doors down that has coffee, tea, macaroons and other sweets and treats. You can bring anything you want to eat/drink to enjoy while painting. The prices are reasonable and the experience was perfect for my teen daughters and myself. We can't wait to return to pick up our masterpieces! My youngest had so much fun, she asked if we could return in a week or two so Cayman doesn't forget who we are. I love that so much! While you're there, don't forget to look up on top of the paint cabinet at the amazing dress form with the the painted 'prom' dress Cayman created! If I could give this shop and the experience 10 stars, I would!

I had a super fun experience painting pottery! They do let you select 5 colors to start but they will refill if you need more. Because the shop wasn't full they let us stay an extra 30 minutes to finish our pieces without rushing us which was very kind. Super excited to pick up soon!
