The Original Pancake House

The service was excellent. Derek T did a great job of making sure our table had everything we needed. The pancakes here are wonderful, some of the best I have ever had.

I have to say that i really enjoy the pancakes here, BUT service has never been their strong suit. Today was HORRIBLE.. we put ourselves on the list which they told us 15 min, we waited 40 to be seated. Then we waited 25 minutes for the waitress to come say hi (by then we were ready to place an order) she said: i will start you guys with some water; which we responded We are ready to order. She replied oh no! I have 20 ORDERS that i need to place so i will get you water & left. We waited 20 minutes and finally decided to leave. Walked to the front & told the manager that they needed to stop seating guests since service was horrible... She apologized and told us she was sorry but our waiter was behind to sit and she would take care of us , which we didn't. We left and wasted an hour there!

I like this place and always have but $50+ for bkfast is a bit much. With that said the food is always on point here. Dutch baby is awesome! Pancakes are fluffy and flavorful. Attentive service by staff, filling up your coffee cup. Can't go wrong here but the prices are definitely going in the wrong direction.

The ease of placing our name on the waitlist and checking in on a tablet was fine... a little impersonal, it the hostess that sat us was super friendly. We waited a really long time for our food, and it came out lukewarm. The pancakes were alright, too sweet for me and not very fluffy. The rye toast was good lol, actually so was the coffee.

I can't really remember the food, but I do remember the fantastic service! I don't remember the food being bad either.

I thought the food was incredibly subpar. There was an Original Pancake House back in NJ that we would frequent, so I thought this one would be similar. To our surprise, it wasn't. Maybe it was my mistake for ordering the "Mexican breakfast" at a pancake house ...

Kara! What a great experience. Breakfast was delicious and feeling quite piggy today. I got the six bacon meal and of course I'm taking three home, but it was delicious. . coming to this location for the first time we are so grateful to find the original pancake house up in our new area. Thank you for expanding our personal national treasure. everybody needs to know that Dutch babies are in the house.!

We always order the Ham and Cheddar Omelette Lightly Cooked & it was a little overdone today. The manager did a very good job at assisting the cook to recook them properly. However, we always enjoy our meal at Pancake House! Ashley and Sally always provide Great Service!

This morning, I was awaken to a strong yearning for Original's melt in your mouth banana pancakes. So what did I do? I made the mistake of going to the Original off of I-121.I waited 49 minutes to receive my breakfast while watching three other tables next to mine, with multiple people in their party, arrive 25-30 minutes after me, receive their breakfast. I gently asked my server if she had forgotten to submit my order once it arrived. She told my the eggs had been burnt and they needed to remake them. "Burnt eggs?!!" Ok...She then said she would send a manager over to me. This took 11 minutes. The manager asked me "what do you want me to do about it?" Working in the hospitality industry myself, I asked "what do you think would be the most appropriate thing to do after having me wait 49 minutes for pancakes, eggs and three slices of bacon". She told me that she needed to investigate the situation to see if it really happened. The manager then proceeded to walk away from me and never return. I highly recommend not supporting this location. Even when the server came back to see if a manager had come by to see me, without acknowledging me, the manager told the server "don't worry about it" and again walked off.I was very professional and gracious in my interactions. Why did I deserve this lack of respect and poor service? Save time and enjoy your banana pancakes...At any other Origjnal location. Just don't go to this one.

I will start off with a thing that I find very positive then go into the negatives. Its a one star review because I am disappointed in their actions. The food is always great here, it's one of the best breakfast locations in Dallas. IF you can get it and be seated. They are always slammed busy and don't have enough wait staff. While the food will be excellent when you get it, it will take time. Mistakes can be made and they might bring you the wrong stuff on occasion. In those circumstances unless you're allergic to what they brought you, just try something new that day because unless you create a scene you probably wont see your waiter/waitress again until the rest of your party is done and ready to go. I grew tired of this and then noticed they served Uber Eats. Great food, no waiting? Hell YES! Unfortunately, I don't know why they do the Uber Eats thing. I've tried ordering it 7 times. I've have only received my food twice and it was alright, I don't count it being colder against the store as somebody had to drive it to me.The other 5 times twice the restaurant just outright canceled my order with no explanation. The rest the store will just tell the drivers it was already picked up and refuse to remake it. One driver told me that this is common with them, they will let people order the food and either they give it away to the wrong people constantly or they never had any intention of making it to begin with. IF a member of the staff here responds saying the usual junk of so sorry we will look into it, just know the name and picture of the poster and remember it because they are likely a pathological liar and poor character because if they had any intention of fix it it would've been done years ago
