The Nook CKMC

When in TX come to the Nook for that comfort southern food! I was leaving my cousins house and came across this restaurant that was near by that to my surprise had a variety of gluten free items to chose from. Its located in the same parking lot as the elementary school and is the only restaurant/bar in the parking lot. Upon walking in you'll see the bar and plenty of seating as well as a patio. Since we came in the middle of the week on a late afternoon we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over who was really sweet and had that southern Texas charm. I ordered the elote with homemade tortilla chips, gluten free Mac n cheese and my mom got a flatbread. Hands down that mac n cheese was the best I ever had, it was so creamy but not over powering with that bold cheese flavor and it was made with gf penne pasta (I know a little weird.. but it was the only gf noodle choice I had). If you don't have an allergy I'm sure the regular noodles are just as good! So if you want that comfort food that Texas is known for, this is the place to check out if you're in Celina.

Love the vibe and decor of this place, with the wraparound patio, and that its Venezuelan owned with Venezuelan dishes. Great prices and service but could've gone without the 20 random little kids coming in and out unattended. Came in to try the "half pound" mushroom Swiss burger and it was good overall but very salty and definitely not half pound patty. Great house fries. Will return to try the arepas!

Hidden gem! we didn't know what to expect coming into this place.. but to our surprise it was a great spot! environment was good..Quick & attentive service..Food was pretty good! We LOVED the Thai chili wings & the Brussel salad was delicious! (Everything we ordered was amazing tho) drinks were really good as well (not pictured) Our server and the manager were so sweet! Wonderful experience overall.

Not all chicken salads are not all made equal.Nothing says Yum like yellowing leaves of salad.... I'll say this much, this place only looks pretty,The facility is pretty, some of the other food looks pretty... and that's allBut not everything here was a bust!My server was the best, kind, welcoming.Shes the real reason I'm giving this place a 3.( note to self ) I wish we went to Chills instead....Chills....

$16 worth of tomato basil soup in the picture. Ordered $70 worth of food to go. I usually save reviews for the good stuff, but this is ridiculous.

I've had this place 4 times in the last two weeks. I am in love with their brussel sprout salad with salmon. It is quite spicy so you need the salmon to balance it out. the bacon, the cheese crumbles, the thai chili sauce, the crispiness of the brussels.. what else can you ask for?!I ordered fries "on the side" and it truly could have been a meal. It was such a hearty portion that I really appreciated. Please give this place a try. The restaurant is like a chill space that is near the pool and school. The acoustics account for a louder atmosphere so it was a bit noisier than I would like. But overall, it's great!

Tried this place for the first time and I was very pleased! The atmosphere is good and so is the service. The food was very tasty and they have a large diverse menu. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for! If you're in the area this place is worth trying!

Very nice local fare with indoor and outdoor seating right by the pool. I had the BBQ brisket pizza and it was quite unique and delicious. Fast and friendly staff, pleasant ambiance.

The food is delicious. Casual ambiance. The service is always great and bonus- a kitty robot delivers your food! The drinks and beer selection are also spectacular!

This restaurant located within my HOA not only serves food and some of my favorite cocktails. It's a focal point in our community from card games to live music. The staff make each visit very personable. Being connected to four of our swimming pools within the neighborhood in the summertime, you can get out the pool and walk right up in order your favorite refreshments to beat the heat. It would be nice if we could see new items on the menu.
