Enjoyed the St George Nola Espresso Martini! Staff was getting rocked with all of us there but they were still attentive!

I wanted to love this place, we went on a Tuesday, it wasn't busy and when we walked in we weren't acknowledged until 15 min later. I wanted to leave after the first 3 minutes because of the way the staff just glared at us, but we were meeting friends. Someone finally greeted us with the menu, so the staff was in a bad mood or something. The staff there that day seemed pretentious The bartender didn't pay attention to requests and would get our drink orders mixed up, he gave attitude when we didn't know bar drink terms when he asked how we would like the Negroni we ordered and we asked to explain the differences. The food menu looked pretty epic, I would have loved to come back to try more of the menu but with the lack of and below par service deters me from doing so. The frog legs were decent - too salty for my taste and the steak frites were ok since the fries weren't bad - the meat was tough, chewy, and the slices were thick for no reason. The space is small and the ambiance is intimate and warm. The AC unit above the tables have a lot on condensation which drips on you and the table when seated there.

This place is amazing to just relax and have a good drink with friends. It is not loud and the staff is amazing. I love their tequila collection. My wife and i usually end our night here before they close.

I came in on a Saturday and had a great time. I sat down right away and got to enjoy the jazz band they had playing. This bar has a vintage vibe that I love. Our waiter came over very fast and gave us waters almost immediately. I ordered a rum and Diet Coke and the scallops. My drink was very good and the scallops are by far my favorite in Dallas. The sauce they have paired with them is crazy. It has a crunchy aspect that really goes great with the scallops. Overall, i had an amazing time visiting this bar with my boyfriend. I can't wait to come back with friends because this is definitely a must stop in Dallas!

A true Dallas gem that should not be missed. This is a quintessential cocktail bar where every bartender has a passion for cocktail making and the pedigree to back it up (name a top bar in DFW and one them has worked there). The food, which has a heavy French influence, is bar none some of the best you can find. The $1 East Coast oysters from 4-7pm weekdays is a financial anomaly I can't understand, until you have the steak tartar and then you realize they lure you in with oysters and steal your heart with meat. Escargot is also a must try. There's live music with local musicians Friday and Saturday. The whiskey selection includes over 1,000 (between bourbon, rye, and mash) varieties and even the gin selection is over 100 bottles. Dark lighting, leather booths, and gorgeous chandlers help transport you far and away from the Texas heat. The bartenders betray the opulence with their friendly demeanor and ability to remember their patrons. Come here if you want a truly special treat.

I asked my hotel for a recommendation for oysters. Upon entering it is a darkened long bar with about 6 tables. I asked my bartender about their oysters. They had happy hour going and they were $1/each. I ordered a dozen along with the branzinno fish. I also had an old fashioned. The oysters were served on ice with fresh horseradish and homemade hot sauce. The fish was flakey and crispy skin. I highly recommend this joint. Have a Yelptastic day!

Unfortunately, I found the creative process and presentation to be more interesting than the cocktails. None of the drinks wowed me in terms of their flavor, it felt muddled and had no point of view. The decor is a nice mix of traditional and modern. Seating was very comfortable at the bar. An extensive wall of liquor with bottles I've never seen before. They offer unique menu items like bone marrow, quail, frog legs, oysters with caviar and also sell cigars.Overall it was worth coming for a couple of hours to enjoy cocktails, perhaps the food is better than the drinks.

We ran into this place randomly due to the pouring rain. The ambiance seemed cozy and nice but the service was very disappointing. It may be because we did not come to drink. It took forever for our food to arrive, when there were 4-5 guests inside. No one was attentive to us after taking our order. We had to ask for our food and only to found out they messed up with our order, made it to-go and then completely forgot about us...... in addition, the door could not close, making it freezing inside. Not to mention, people were smoking outside. The smoke just came right through the door! The food had good presentation and tasted good in general, although the octopus was very hard to chew. All in all, the food was not worth the waiting or poor service or freezing/smoking environment.

Discovered this downtown bar recommended to us by a bartender at another establishment. Dare I say this has the potential to become my new favorite craft bar.I've been obsessed with Vieux Carre's lately and haven't had much luck with bars being able to make it. Kyle, talented bartender and manager, made our night! Every drink was amazing and he made the best Vieux Carre I've had. He even freestyled a couple drinks for us and they were a hit. Dwight, another bartender, was a lot of fun as well and had the best playlist going all night. This experience truly made our friend's birthday a fun night!I had so much fun I came back a couple days later for dinner. Let me tell you that burger is one of the best I've had in minute and a lovely stranger let us try his venison tartare; it was so flavorful and it literally melts in your mouth. If you can't tell by now I love this place! I'm coming back one night when they have live music and for another Vieux Carre.
