Our recent visit to The Mansion Restaurant on a Sunday morning was nothing short of delightful, offering a blend of elegance and exceptional culinary craftsmanship. Food: - Almond Croissant (10/10): It was a buttery, flaky masterpiece. The rich almond filling and delicate layers melted in the mouth, setting the tone for the meal. - Avocado Toast (7/10): It was as beautiful as it was satisfying--a medley of creamy avocado, fresh toppings, and perfectly toasted bread. Adding an egg was a good touch to add more flavor. - The Good Farm Omelette (5/10): There was nothing special about this dish. As I believe it was your typical Omelette that you can get anywhere. - Picanha Steak (7/10): A tender cut cooked to perfection with a rich, flavorful sauce and paired with salad that complemented its bold flavor.- Bread Pudding (8/10): A decadent conclusion to the meal. Warm and gooey, with a chocolate and pecan flavor that added the perfect touch of sweetness, it left us savoring every bite. Although, I wish it was a bit less runny. The ambiance and service were equally impeccable, with attention to detail that elevated the dining experience. Whether for brunch, dinner, or a special occasion, The Mansion Restaurant delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an elevated experience in a beautiful setting!

Visited the Mansion Restaurant at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek sometime around 1997 for a pleasant lunch. At its conclusion, a thoughtful waitress took me on a mini tour of the ground floor. This time around I was shown an ornate ceiling next to the grand dining room by possibly the same person which speaks to the loyalty of the Mansion employees. Driving up to the Mansion, it is a class act as an aesthetic site having a pleasant mélange of mostly Italianate architecture as well as interior touches of pan European elements. Built in the Roaring Twenties by a cotton king who in his own way mirrored Wm. Randolph Hearst in his acquisition of European objets d'Art. Using the spectacular total solar eclipse in Dallas, I wanted to return to the Mansion for a more involved 7 course wine pairing dining experience. My waitress in my enclosed photo was a truly HOSPITABLE waitress par excellence. You must witness her knowledgeable, warm service as well as being escorted toward the restroom by a personable house receptionist. Fine service here seems to be the Mansion's strong point. 0) Parker House Roll: Yeasty, bit sticky, sour, browned in egg wash. Honey butter. 00) Amuse Bouche: Gazpacho creamy, acidic tomato, tarragon, garlic, cilantro greens. 1) Big Eye Tuna Crudo: Sashimi shaped like a rose, apple, Yuzu/Japanse citrus Ponzu/Japanese soy sauce, rice vinegar 1a) Schramsberg Mirabelle Brut Rosé Vin Pétillant, CA NV Scents of waxy rose, strawberry, raspberry, refreshing acidic, bitter 2) Foie Gras Torchon: Disappointing. Very pasty, bland, infused with duck fat so it lost its signature liver gaminess. Dots of puréed strawberry confiture, feathery frisée. 2a) Marchesi Antinori, Muffato de la Sala, Umbria, Italia 2009: Like Haute Sauterne undergoing pourriture noble, but not as sweet. Strawberry, plummy, acidic, smooth, cleansing bitterness. 3) Carrot Coconut Velouté w/ Lemon grass infusion blanketing shallot crisps, fresno chile. 3a) Leitz, Dragonston Riesling, Rheingau, Deutschland 2021: Pineapple, citrus, chalky, acidic4) Halibut: Perfectly grilled, not overcooked yet outer crispiness. Sunchoke root, cucumber, celery. Subtle Leek Vinaigrette made smoky by Japanese Katsuo Bushi Umami broth. 4a) Darioush, Viognier, Napa CA 2021: Lemon, white peach, melon, juicy, dry, buttery 5) Chevre Agnolotti: Pillows of pasta in a cheesy meyer lemon sauce, green pea shoots. 5a) San Giovanni, Grechetto & Procanico, Orvieto Classico, Italia 2021: Grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, white pepper, acidic. 6) Smoked Rohan Duck Breast: Thick tranche of plush duck w/ a chaw. Agrodolce orange Grand Marnier based Sauce Bordelaise. Braised Belgian Endive in light broth, vegetal garnish. 6a) Dom Baronarques, Baron Philippe Rothschild, Limoux Langue d'Oc 2010: Dark fruits, grainy tannins, sweet yet astringent. 6b) Calamansi/Phillipino lime Sorbet to clear the palate. 7) Cheese Cake: Yuzu infused curd, sugar braised Orange Confit slice, Cardamom Crème Chantilly, buttery graham cracker crust. Nasturtium flower 7a) Vietti la Cascinetta, Moscato d'Asti, Piedmonte, Italia 2022: Sparkling, smooth sweet, waxy lemon, apricot, loquat, laichi.Executive Chef Charles Olalia was Chef de Cuisine at noted Los Angeles Michelin starred Patina where I had the pleasure to experience his cuisine, & Phillipino restaurant Ma'am, Sir, also at Guy Savoy & French Laundry. Mansion is blessed under his direction. PS Don't forget to pet the Mansion kitty who has her own brass day bed near the hotel entrance. 5 stars

The food was once again top notch. The service on the other hand was a tad neglectful and indifferent. It was ok service but not the level you would expect from such a pricey restaurant. We had the squash blossoms to start. We finished them without even thinking about it. We could have eaten another plate they were so good. We also shared a super delicious porterhouse that was cooked to our preferred temperature and we shared some roasted cauliflower to go alongside them. . We finished with a strawberry tart that was light and easy.

5 stars and it rivals a few well-known fine dining places in Southern California. They have all the details covered- from storing your winter coat, handing you the menu and draping the napkin on your lap to escorting you directly to the bathroom and folding your napkin while you're gone. They pick up crumbs and keep your space tidy, and refill your water with haste. Did not feel rushed or impatient at any point. Everything is perfectly timed. If you don't care about all that, their food is what truly shines. Wine menu is extensive and excellent. We were tempted by the tasting menu but ultimately decided to share the crab cake, filet mignon, fish of the day (striped bass), mashed potatoes, and Texas sheet cake. They also offered an amuse bouche of a spicy tomato soup, and even capped off our meal with a little chocolate brownie. Every single dish was excellent, which is a difficult feat. Usually one dish is just okay. Not here. They do everything quite well. And I haven't even mentioned the setting. Exquisitely detailed ceilings, glass windows, a fireplace, sweeping views from the staircase, and even a lovely bar area with music. One of the most romantic restaurants I've visited.

Came here with my husband for our anniversary. Our server was John, and he did amazing. He gave us a great experience. Also thanks to those that helped the service process. The ambiance of this restaurant and bar was so cute and comforting. The food was remarkable. We didn't want it to stop so John had recommended the bar area and we had a night cap at a table in the bar. Carlos was our server and he also did a great. After the first round, I realized the bartender knew what she was doing so I asked for a dealers choice and I was so amazed on the flavors she was able to come up with. Thank you Bryce for the amazing cocktails. My husband and I will definitely be returning. Also thanks to John again for recommending the bar he would do so well in the lounge area also. Great staff keep it up!!

My friends and I (party of 6) opted for the tasting menu and ordered few bottles of wine. There's nothing special in the tasting menu - see photos attached. Steak - just ok, no wow factor even though it was considered the main dish of the tasting menu: one of my friends opted for the wagyu but he was not impressed as wellMushroom (brown) soup - too salty for meClam - lime/lemon was overpowering Others were forgettable; could have better presentation considering the price-pointAnd the biggest disappointment of the night was the dessert. It's ginger sorbet on top of caramel/graham crust - nobody from our group likes it. I would be embarrassed to serve this to anybody if I were the chef.....

Been there several times to dine. This is a fine dining experience, nestled in a hotel. French style / American fusion food. Definitely recommend the 'tasting menu' - a great way to sample a number of different foods, all cooked and served to perfection. one of, if not the best, fine dining experiences in the metroplex. upscale, classical atmosphere. Great service. Fine food, expertly chosen, prepared and presented. A bit high end, the price for the tasting course is especially high, but worth it. A place to look forward to going back.
