What a treat it is to stay at the Gaston House. The first thing you notice (besides the amazing ambience) is the LOVE put into this beautiful bed and breakfast. I simply love the sweet people running this business. They make you feel so at home, and beam with joy as you are greeted and given the lovely tour! It's so evident the love and care they have for this business. It makes me so happy that they are loving and restoring an amazing gem in Dallas rather than it rotting away as so many do. Now: back to the ambience. This B&B is SO gorgeous, with love and care put in to every square inch! You immediately feel as though you are transported to another age. It's such a joy to feel as though you get a peek at what life might have been like back then! We have stayed in both the Eastham and Dentzel rooms -- they are both AMAZING! Dentzel is wonderful for extra privacy and a lovely balcony on nice weather days. Eastham is especially romantic with a stunning soaking tub. The honesty bar is such a great treat. We so enjoy sitting together with a coffee or an adult beverage. Again: the Gaston is truly such an escape. Breakfast is optional (you can add it on) but it's a wonderful treat should you choose to do so. Come by the Gaston and experience a lovely escape from the usual drags of life. We love it and plan to make this a staple.

Daughter's wedding was held here, we had the whole house. It's a really fun piece of property. Bedrooms all upstairs - no elevator. Husband and I stayed in the Dealey Room - which is a JFK Presidential room. Every room has a theme; one was Bonnie and Clyde. Being themed rooms, there are books and artifacts about the theme in every room. very interesting and educational too! Beds are all king except one was queen. VERY comfortable beds and pillows. Very very elegant and homey at the same time. Long dining table enough to seat all 12 guests intimately with room to spare. Lots of large rooms, a sun room, a back patio, seating everywhere including covered front porch. Huge professional kitchen with everything one needs. AC was spot on, the Adair room was by far the coolest temperature wise. There is a bar with seating towards the front of the home. I just loved this property and would not ever hesitate to stay here again. OUr weekend was so special because of the quality of this property.

The epitome of Old East Dallas, The Gaston Bed & Breakfast is sure to knock your cowboy boots off! I hosted an art show here in January 2021 and I, along with every single attendee, was blown away by the charm, class, and ambience The Gaston B&B offers. My first visit to the space was over a year ago and the impeccable attention to detail the designer put into the décor is noteworthy. From the remarkable book installation in the library/parlor to the historic artifacts she was able to dig up and display, this house is a joy to experience. The house manager is a delight to work with from a host's perspective, readily available and kindhearted. The property is spotless and I didn't want for much as an overnight guest as well. If you're looking for a unique spot in Big D, look no further.

Loved the Gaston! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. The decorating is moody and top notch, the continental breakfast is excellent and the hostess is gracious. The public spaces are inviting and the guest rooms are comfy. My only suggestion is to remove some decor and add 2 chairs to each guest room. It's more comfortable when staying in your room to sit in a comfortable chair as opposed to laying in or sitting on the bed.Treat yourself at the Gaston! You will love it!

When I first pulled into the driveway, I thought to myself this is a beautiful looking historic home, but on a busy roadway.... what did I get myself into. I had a day from hell, so I just wanted to sleep. The next morning my intent was to return to California even though I had paid for two days. Once I walked into the historic home, I was met by the owner, Maureene. The home was breath taking. I asked if the home was decorated by a professional? Maureene told me her daughter Amy decorated the historic home. Amazing job Amy..Every historic detail to this home was captured as if the home was still in the early 1900. Stepping into this historic home, I felt like I had gone back in time. I was escorted to the Varco room thinking I would hear the traffic. Complete opposite. The room was quiet and beautifully decorated. I crawled into bed around 6:45pm and did not wake up until 7:30am the following morning. The king size bed with the nice sheets swallowed me up. I ended up staying both night as I found this home with positive energy from Maureene and Amy to the guests staying at the historic home. For the record, I have traveled the world. I am one of those guys who is very observant to the fine details in places I stay. Nothing was out of place....IMMACULATE. If I had a complaint, it would be I would like to have had regular coffee and not expresso. But the tradeoff was worth it to get to go back in time for two days. You can't go wrong staying at the Gaston. Worth every penny...

This place is an absolute gem. The home is impeccable and the designer finishes are perfection. The linens are top notch, there's a breakfast every morning, a fully-stocked bar and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I truly can't praise this BnB enough - this will be my "go to" for every future trip to Dallas. Cannot recommend more highly.
