This place is an 'experience and journey to take you back home - delhi' !Food is simply authentic, no adaptations no changes, just dilli food as its how tastes in delhi ! We tried pani puri, paneer tikka, butter chicken, dal makhni, and took the bread basket ! For desserts, we tried kulfi falooda and moong daal halwa !!! Every dish was top notch ! It got super difficult for us to choose our most favorite dish. Being from delhi, we've grown eating butter chicken from gulati pandara road, this experience at delhi lounge totally took us back home !Service is friendly, professional, again top notch ! Co owner came to meet us, super nice guy from delhi, shared his personal story, he gives you instant delhi family vibe ! We met with the head chef, manager, the other owner - everyone at their best ! Respect to the head chef and his team to prepare this amazing and authentic food ! Grand place, 'food as it is in delhi', friendly staff, amazing service, 'really good selection of drinks' - thats delhi lounge !We are coming back for chole bhature, and more !We will be regulars here in no time, 1 place in dallas highly recommended to try if you are fond of delhi food !!!!

3.5 stars but ill round up to 4.Service: started iffy as they had the wrong date down for a group reservation we had made. That said they did try their best to accommodate us though the service was slow and inaccurate at times.Food: very good. All above average and one lamb dish that cooks for 48 hours was a standout. Great selection of both food and drinks.

An authentic, opulent and covivial NORTH-INDIAN CULINARY EXPERIENCE at the recently opened DELHI LOUNGE in Irving, TX....Check it out over this Holiday Season!PUNJAB is a state in Northern India that derives its name from the five rivers that flowed thru the region making it the 'the bread basket of India', with the largest production of wheat, sugarcane, lentils, pulses, fruits and vegetables. In 1947 when India attained independence, Punjab like Bengal, was split into two with 2 of the 5 rivers in India, and the other 3 in Pakistan.PUNJABIs are industrious yet fun-loving folks who truly "work hard and party hard"! They are also incorrigible, insufferable foodies, whose passion for all things gastronomical would rival that of their compatriots from Bengal, Odisha, Lucknow and Hyderabad! While 'Daal-Roti' (lentils and wheat flat bread) is the staple diet for the hoi-polloi, Punjabi Cuisine has delivered an extravagant array of kababs and flat breads from its TANDOOR ("Clay Oven") including the NAAN, KULCHAS, BHATURAS, PARATHAS, especially the LACCHA PARATHA, the TANDOORI, ROOMALI, & MISSI ROTI which have no peers in any other cuisine across the Planet, period! The traditional PUNJABI cuisine has acquired a distinct character with nuanced variations of the PUNJABI CHAAT, KEBABS, CHOLE BHATURE, PARATHAS, BIRYANI, SAMOSAs and especially the iconic BUTTER CHICKEN, CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA and DAL MAKHANI which can be traced to MOTI MAHAL in Delhi in the 1940s, and has been raised to fine art by other iconic establishments like KAREEM's, KWALITY, CHOR BIZARRE and LAZEEZ AFFAIRE!Did you know that just about every Michelin starred Chef of Indian origin is a Punjabi, which is hardly a surprise?!We were delighted to check out the DELHI LOUNGE in our neck of the woods thanks to an invitation from Manish Mehrotra, an IT executive and his partner, Dr. Rajesh Gogia, a very successful radiologist in the DFW metroplex, who have morphed their passion for DELHI CUISINE into this labor of love. From the tastefully appointed and well lit interior embellished with exquisite hand carved objets d'art to murals from golden era of Delhi and Rajathan, the happening bar and lounge, DELHI LOUNGE offers a vibe of celebration and happiness reminiscent of the capital of India, we have not experienced at most Indian restaurants in this town. Thanks to the owners/restauranteurs and the staff who strive to please, the place offers a convivial vibe that lends itself well to a relaxed celebration of all things gastronomical in a warm, opulent and relaxed ambiance, with lots of choice in their repertoire. We enjoyed their TANDOORI LAMBCHOPS and the TANDOORI POMFRET for the hors d'oeuvres which were succulent, delightfully flavorful and spiced beautifully presented. We followed up on these with the signature MUTTON RARAH (succulent goat meat also cooked with minced goat into a spicy curry with its origins from the kitchens of Maharaja Ranjit Singh who ruled over the Punjab and Kashmir) and the DAL MAKHANI (recommend the DAL TADKA) that we enjoyed with the ONION KULCHA and the MISSI ROTI, as well as the signature PARDA GOAT/MUTTON DUM BIRYANI which is one of the finest we have had in this town. We were intrigued by the BAILEY's RASMALAI, the TIRAMISU RASGULLA but settled for the KULFI FALOODA for the dessert. Can't wait to return to experience their signature MAKKE DI ROTI + SARSON DA SAAG and the CHOLE BHATURE which are huge hits with the audience...so what are you waiting for?

A Disheartening experience at The Delhi Lounge. My name is Avneet Kaur, and I am posting this review from my sister's account because The Delhi Lounge has blocked my account, preventing me from sharing my experience. I initially wasn't going to speak out, but I believe the customers and the community deserve to know what happened. I was employed as a manager at The Delhi Lounge restaurant. I was hired alongside two other managers, Austin and Francis, to assist with the grand opening of the restaurant, including staff hiring, setup, and other logistical aspects. However, when the opening day arrived, both Austin and Francis chose not to show up, leaving me as the sole manager in charge. Despite the unexpected challenges, I did my best to hold the team together and ensure the restaurant's success. As part of my duties, the owners, Mr. Rajesh Gogia and Mr. Manish Mehrotra, personally asked me to take the kitchen staff (Indian chefs) out on occasional outings, as they didn't have families or means of transportation here in states. I complied, organizing fun and enjoyable outings with the team. During one such outing, an incident occurred: while we were at Ali Baba Hookah Lounge, one of the Indian bartenders--without my consent or knowledge--took my car and caused an accident. I was shocked, as I wasn't in the car at the time, and the incident occurred at 3:00 AM on January 27th.Due to the character limit, I couldn't include the full details here. Please refer to the attached files for the complete story.

Regarding the service, everything was very fast when I went. Waiter was friendly and gave me and the rest of my group great recommendations for things! 10/10 would go again!

My review was taken down but videos of evidence & screenshots will be posted on different and other platforms and BBB so people can see what happened. Lawyers will soon be involved if this matter is not handled in TIMELY MANNER. I was hired as an Assistant Manager at Delhi Lounge with high hopes, but resigned after 5 days due to serious concerns about workplace conduct and compensation issues and the manager Avneet Kaur being emotionally unstable and hostile .I have both witness accounts and video documentation of the incidents described below.During my brief employment under manager Avneet Kaur, I witnessed and experienced deeply concerning behavior. On my very first day, I watched her screaming at an employee named Jessie simply for laughing to himself - an early red flag of what was to come. Multiple times, I professionally and privately requested that she stop yelling and being disrespectful to staff. Her response was telling: 'I will yell at whoever I want, I am the manager whose gonna tell me?'Her pattern of behavior included manipulating situations around training failures. After providing inadequate training, she would berate employees for mistakes, saying things like 'I thought you had experience' - ignoring the fact that every restaurant operates differently and proper training is essential. Several current and former employees have privately shared similar experiences with me, including two previous Assistant Managers who quit before me, likely due to the hostile work environment.I witnessed:- Frequent screaming at staff members in front of others- Refusal to provide proper training while expecting immediate expertise- Retaliation against employees who raised concerns- Hostile response to professional feedback- Using managerial position to intimidate rather than lead- Creating an environment where employees fear speaking up- Manipulating situations to blame employees for lack of trainingThe situation ultimately escalated to threats of physical confrontation when I attempted to address these issues professionally. Additionally, my final paycheck was significantly short - I was hired at a $45,000 annual salary but was paid approximately $300 for 45+ hours of work (averaging below $7/hour).The retention of such an emotionally unstable manager who engages in wage theft reflects poorly on the restaurant owners' judgment and values. I encourage them to thoroughly investigate these management practices and take appropriate action. The fact that multiple Assistant Managers have quit, coupled with widespread staff fear and documented incidents of bullying, suggests a systemic problem that needs immediate attention.I've documented these incidents and am sharing this review to raise awareness about workplace bullying. No employee should feel intimidated or unsafe at work. These were the hours I worked14th I worked 2-12am15th I worked 1-11:30pm16th I worked 2-11:30pm18th I worked 2-11pm
