The Dark Chocolate Bakery

I was trying to come up with a treat to get delivered yesterday and I found this dark chocolate bakery online. I knew I wanted something dark chocolate flavored, but i had never ordered from here so I gave them a call. I was very fortunate that Jill picked up the phone and explained everything to me over the phone. I should've planned ahead and ordered the cake more in advanced, but Jill was so sweet that she was able to accommodate a last minute same day delivery since the address was close enough! Every cake Jill recommended to me sounded so delicious, but I ended up selecting the decadent chocolate cake. This cake was FANTASTIC! So rich and not overwhelmingly sweet. I don't think I could've asked for a better cake. The cake was 6" and triple layered so we had plenty leftover. If you need a great dark chocolate flavored cake, then I cannot recommend this business enough! Excellent customer service and delicious cakes :)

A friend sent me a chocolate fudge cake. It is awesome -- right up there with the best chocolate cakes I have ever had, and chocolate cake is my favorite dessert. Highly recommend!

These were some of the most amazing desserts I have honestly ever tasted! I received an assortment of six different chocolate desserts. I am somewhat picky about textures/mousse flavoring/frostings. All bites were exceptional!!! I had some sweet friends place the order to get delivered to me as my baby shower was canceled due to COVID. The order was brought to our door and I could not be more pleased with the surprise! Can hardly wait for an excuse to purchase more desserts.

I just had the pleasure of speaking with Jill at The Dark Chocolate Bakery. I live in California, I have an amazing co-worker that lives in Texas. I wanted to have a cake delivered to that co-worker, after reading many reviews, and speaking with friends in Dallas. I decided on The Dark Chocolate Bakery. I am certain the cake will be spectacular, because Jill truly cares about her clients and embraces everything a cake is about; happiness, joy and smiles. She was able to accomplish all those emotions from me and I only spoke with her on the phone, can you imagine how great the cake must be! I got the mini cake assortment for a family friend's birthday party and it was gone in seconds, best cakes ever. Everyone had a favorite flavor. The quality of the cakes were obvious before even trying them. I haven't had better tasting cake in any other city or country I've been to so far.I would suggest this place for any special occasion. If I had enough money to throw around I would order the mini cakes once a week to split with my girlfriend. Jill's got talent.

I highly recommend this hidden gem, I got Flourless Chocolate Decedence cake, based on Jill's recommendation for my wife's birthday and it turned out perfect. The cake was moist and delicious. My wife and kids loved it. Jill made the effort to deliver the cake on a Saturday, so that I have it in time for the birthday. The Dark Chocolate Bakery is one of the best things to happen to Dallas and highly recommended for folks who appreciate a great cake.

We live in Seattle, Wa, our mom/MIL lives in Dallas. June 24 was mom/MIL bday. We wanted to send a cake, reached out to The Dark Chocolate Bakery asking if it would be possible to have the Strawberry Cream Cake delivered the same day. I left a vm, the owner returned my call and said absolutely. Just place my order on line (she was in a meeting and answered my return call) and she would personally deliver. She did exactly that and sent me a text letting me know it had been delivered. We just received a call from our mom/MIL raving about this cake, she said it was absolutely wonderful and packaged so beautifully. One needs to understand this woman is one of the most particular people ever when it comes to food. Anyone who gets this kind of comment from her has "done good"! We are so pleased and she was delighted. Try these folks, delicious desserts and unbelievable customer service. Will definitely call again.

I live in Arizona but have sent a number of these cakes to friends in Dallas and they love them. One friend was not only impressed with the cake but the "presentation" as well! I usually send the sampler which has been a popular gift. Jill is a true gem and will go out of her way to work with you. Gee, wish I was back in Dallas! Suzie W

My company just received a chocolate cake from DCB as a Christmas gift. The cake was chock-full of chocolate flavor, and my slice was incredibly fluffy after microwaving for about 15 seconds. The entire office is impressed!
