We went on a Sunday evening. When we arrived, we were seated within a few minutes. They have tvs which was good so we were able to watch the football game. Inside is dimly lit and not very bright. Server took our order - we got calamari, shrimp poboy, one of the medium sacks + two eggs (forgot the name... maybe Arctic) to share between myself and two children), fries and rice as sides. We were given the bibs, gloves, and crackers to help open crab legs. Everything was really good and tasty. We only had a few shrimp and potato left. My son wanted dessert so we got the bread pudding which was delicious. It's pricey so be prepared to spend some $$$ when you go, lol, especially if you get the sacks.

As a seafood lover, I always prioritize seafood wherever I go. I tried Crab Station in The Colony, Texas, but the food was just Average. The service was disappointing, as the staff didn't seem to care and were not warm or welcoming. The food was just average, and overall, the experience wasn't good. I won't be going back to this place again.

My friends and I had a wonderful get together at this Crab Station location. The menus were accessible and clearly labeled with pricing, however they need to specify that it's that seafood item $ by the lb, otherwise newer customers who have never been to a seafood boil restaurant would have no idea what they're getting into. Overall the place was decorated well and visually appealing. Lighting was adequate and overall ambiance was fun/comfortable and casual. There was only a couple workers on the floor but they were sure scrambling as more and more customers came streaming in. Thankfully we didn't have too big of an issue with staffing, but there were times during our evening where we were just waiting on the waitress to come back. Generally, our drinks were replenished on time and when we did have any issues (one of my friend's seafood sack came out lukewarm), it was addressed quickly by staff. The food itself was delicious. The shrimp and crawfish was plump and easy to peel. Seasoning was great and the spice level was much spicer than advertised on the menu!

Our service from Carlos was great, but quite slow. We didn't mind because we weren't in any hurry and it was clear to us after a while that he seemed to be running the whole show by himself- multiple tables plus bar- so major props to him. The gumbo was incredible and a huge portion but unfortunately way too hot and had to wait quite a while for it to cool down enough to enjoy.

Food - just average. The charbroiled oysters were okay, a little more garlic, and they would've been much better. The dirty rice wasn't very "dirty" and definitely needed some more flavor. One of my girlfriends ordered the Bearing Sea bag and really enjoyed it. She originally wanted a different one, but quickly changed her mind when she realized that the corn, potatoes, sausage, and boiled egg were not included and had to be paid for individually. That ads up quick when 1 potato is $.99Service - if it weren't for Keon, this would have been a 2 star review. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us first-time visitors to the restaurant determine what we wanted to order. We placed a carry‐out order and had a couple of green tea shots while we were waiting. They were terrible! When I asked the bartender why they tasted funny, she said it was probably because the sprite was flat. She didn't offer to replace the drinks or anything.Ambiance - very nice, family-friendly restaurant

Lets start with the parking lot. As we were walking in, staff members were outside, talking loudly on their cellphones. It was 6:30pm, so its excusable being right before the rush. We are greeted by the paper sign loudly stating "NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS" and the "no marijuana smell" sign. We thought these were fine, if not funny in a way. We were ready to get our mess on!THE GOOD: we were greeted by a somewhat professional, but capable host and given good service throughout. The menu is large (and apparently filled with small print we all missed). There was 7 of us. 4 of us shared a $130-ish meal, two other sacks and a bowl of Gumbo. We started with some tasty Calamari and boudin balls. The boudin were a little greasy, but not terrible. The seafood bags were full, ordered to taste mostly and overall, cooked properly. The tastes were worth higher price.THE BAD: Honestly, for the food not that much -a couple small quibbles: the butter sauce is Movie Theatre Popcorn Butter - for real? At a seafood restaurant? Red Lobster (which I don't frequent) gives clarified butter. Also, the sausage was of low quality. Not the worst thing, but its the cheapest part of the sack so I expect some more quality here. The overall unprofessional vibe of: paper warning signs everywhere, staff that is lackluster and disinterested, sloppy looking uniforms, (except our server who is exempted from nearly everything here) and the jarring, unexpected $475 bill (more on that below).THE UNACCEPTABLE: The 20% auto-gratuity that I learned is only partially for the FOH staff, the fine print charge of *$3/lb to remove shrimp heads*, the $6 upcharge for bread with soup, and just the nickel and diming that tells me that the management is either cheap or operates with an overall tone of underhandedness. It is understood that it's seafood - we expect to pay a premium being inland - but put it in plain sight. I don't mind a $500 dinner for my extended family to eat seafood - but to have cheapness like the butter and to have a ton of extra charges for normalized things (like headless shrimp without verbal disclaimer, or upcharge for sliced bread) ruins it and makes it feel overpriced.4 STARS - for the food and our server. MINUS 2 STARS for the externalities. To management: we don't want a response here, you need to act more ethically.
