Definitely not a great place for Afternoon tea. Apart from the nice staff, everything was subpar compared to the Adolphus and Ritz. We made reservations and were seated in the lobby area instead of the conservatory, which is really tacky. We had tea while loud people were conducting business and bustling around. The ambiance was so poor and not serene like the Adolphus French Room. The tea itself was by Damman, which is fine. I wish there were more varieties and we could switch out the pot more. The flatware and china were plain white and not good quality. No Wedgwood here unfortunately. The food was actually really terrible. The sandwich bread was stale. They actually took a scoop of incredibly salty lobster salad and put it inside a sweet dinner roll. Afternoon tea is about presentation and this lacked on every course. And all courses were served at the same time, which is unusual. They ran out of cucumber (seriously cucumber?) so they served one of our sandwiches with raw yellow squash. It was so gross. The desserts course consisted of a macaron, a sweet chocolate pastry and some pudding. None of them were outstanding or pretty to look at. Considering that we paid $91/person, I do not recommend coming here for tea. But now we know better.

The staff at the Crescent were fantastic! I visited in July for their afternoon tea while on vacation in Dallas. After making my reservation I needed to add an extra person, and even though the event had sold out the staff were amazing at helping me to add an extra guest. Then when the day arrived my +1 was ill. Once again the staff were gracious and helpful in modifying the reservation. The afternoon tea itself was delightful, with a harpist for entertainment and a delicious menu. I added on the champagne option which came with free flowing champagne, it was a great deal. I'd very happily come back my next trip through Dallas.

Beautiful garden views and attentive service are what you'll find here. The food is better than average but it is not great considering the high price tag. Still, it's worth a visit when downtown at the Crescent.

Food: 3/5Service: 5/5Cleanliness: 4/5Decor & Style: 3/5I ordered the Pulled Pork Quesadilla (Pickled onion, radish, avocado sour cream) and it was just okay. For $19 and an awesome hotel I expected more, but I felt like it tasted like Chili's Quesadilla. It was descent and I finished it but I just expected a lot more. Service was great but probably because we were the only ones dining in at lunch time! lol. Maybe that tells you something about this place. I will probably just go to Sixty Vines on the other side of the hotel next time.

For such a great hotel and business center, I was highly disappointed in the food and service at this lunch spot. The waitor was very slow and not friendly at all. The bread that was brought out prior to our meal was clearly not fresh nor tasty. Another guest and I both ordered the grilled cheese. The description sounded delicious but the entree was terrible. Again the bread was not fresh and toasted so hard and crunchy it fell apart at first bite. There was hardly any cheese on the sandwich (odd for a grilled cheese) but rather a ton of terrible sun dried tomato paste, a pile of spinach and two portobello mushrooms that were not even sliced thin or chopped up. For the price of lunch here, we could have eaten a fabulous meal at another restaurant and definitely will in the future.

Service was slow, food was underwhelming. We waited 10 to 15 minutes to get anything from coffee to food. Ask for Tabasco. Never showed up

Absolutely love coming here for afternoon tea every few months. Louis is always pleasant and attentive to each and every guest. Each time I've come the menu is a different theme and I enjoy trying new sweet and savory options each time. If you're looking for a traditional English tea service in Dallas, this is the place.

Such a beautiful breakfast outside! Johnathan was incredible and gave the absolute best service. A quiet place for breakfast if you are staying at the Crescent or just walking by.

Very bad day at the Crescent Hotel. They must be operating on fumes these days.... The lobby is usually magnificent at Christmas, not this time. The lobby was freezing. The heat was out. Lots of snow covered trees in the lobby which are pretty but somehow its just missing the usual Christmas "Wow" factor. We sat down in the conservatory for lunch. Ordered tea and lunch. Finally got the the tea, never a hot water refill, which we asked for several times, and after 45 minutes waiting for our lunches, which never showed up, we walked. Other customers are also complaining about the lack of service. The staff was marginally apologetic, but no excuse for the really slow inattentive service. What's up Crescent Hotel?
