This place kinda took me by surprise. This little Vietnamese cuisine is tucked in Mckinney is not too shabby. Don't expect authentic Vietnamese food. Have a open heart and mind and be prepared for modern take on authentic Vietnamese. My fiancé and I ordered two different bowls of pho and boy they sure were different. I ordered the Risk it Pho da brisket and he got the Pho the luv of God. I personally loved mine!! I've never had a brisket pho before and it was different but goooood. My brisket was lean and soft. The flavor of the broth was a Smokey brisket pho flavored broth. It might not be good for everyone but it was for me!! Also got the salted cream foam Vietnamese coffee. Let me tell you.. if you came here for a work lunch, grab one of these coffees to go because it will let you get through the rest of your day!! Super strong. Super love it. I always order pickled onions. Every pho place does it differently and I like how they did theirs. Onions were sliced thinly and actually soaked in vinegar. A lot of places just drizzle it on top. Service was friendly and super quick. Guy at the counter served all five tables in under and hour!! Place was clean. My only complaint is the price but considering this economy and the area we're in.. it wasn't too too bad. If I'm in the area again, I'd come back! I wanna try the shaken beef garlic noodles next time.

Growing up, my family had a tradition of eating Pho after church on Sundays. Although church is no longer part of my routine, my Sunday cravings for Pho remains strong. The Alley Noodle Bar offers a modern twist on authentic Vietnamese cuisine. While you can taste the effort for them to be innovated, I wish the focus was more on authenticity. For example, the menu--Pho Me Up, Twenty Pho Seven, Risk it Pho da Brisket-- amusing names, but not my cup of tea. I'm a simple person who enjoys a classic bowl of Pho with slices of flank (on the side) and thin rice noodles. It would be helpful if The Alley Noodle Bar noted the actual names of the dishes, whether it be in English or Vietnamese. Cons: Alley Noodle Bar runs pricey, ~$15/bowl, and as for the pho, the broth wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped and required a lot of hoisin sauce and sriracha to boost the flavor.I'll definitely return to try other dishes and see what else The Alley Noodle Bar has to offer.

My favorite pho in the DFW area!! And that says a lot considering I'm vietnamese AND from garden grove in california haha. Service is fast and friendly, and the place is cozy! The broth is perfectly well balanced and meat is tender; my favorite is "Pho me up"

We come here every once in awhile. The food is consistent and the staff is very warm and friendly. Pricing is a bit steep for a pho restaurant but assuming it is that way due to the location we were in. Pho broth is great and quality of food is amazing. Restaurant seating is limited but overall clean and comfortable.

Really, really overpriced for completely average pho (it's about $8 more per bowl than Pho Que Huong). Meats are precooked and non-adventurous, especially for a combo/special. Broth was better than some places, but not very warm. Service was prompt and friendly. Cute little place and I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood. I wish them well, but probably won't be back.

Went on a date here a few weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. The place is small but it's cute and clean. The menu has a plethora of options to choose from and I was having a hard time picking. We got the iroll for appetizer. The iroll was so good. The pork was so flavorful in the mixture and I love the dipping sauce. I ordered the oodles of noodles and oh my! That grilled pork is literally so delicious and tender. The sauce is just so good, a lil sweet and tangy. The eggrolls they add in are also crisp and perfect. I love the rice vermicelli noodles it's served on as well. Pairs perfectly with that flavorful pork. I thought the meal was really tasty and will definitely come back for the garlic noodles and pho. My date got the pho and he tore it up so I know it was good Service was decent. We ordered and just waited for our food. So nothing negative or overly positive with service. But all in all a solid place for some good noodle dishes for sure!

BEST PHO RESTAURANT EVER!! I've been to so many but this place has been the only place the broth i wish i can get a jug of! Broth is so rich, you don't need to add anything. I used to add so much lime juice and sauce and spice but I add nothing here. Absolute favorite!!

New experience. I am glad I chose to try it. I tried the pho me up, I roll, and garlic and egg fried rice. I initially wanted to try something to make me feel better while not feeling my best. The pho did the trick. The pho: it had different cuts of beef which all seemed overwhelming after a while. I did not like the meatball but the others were ok. The broth flavor was ok but elevated once I added the sauce and lime. I think it needed more sauce and more lime to take it over. All the veggies were good and crisp, the noodles are flat and a bit wide. I do plan to try more options. The roll: I was expecting these to be really crispy and flavorful. The roll was not that crispy. The flavor was good and the roll was well stuffed and not to the point of being too big. The sauce made of ginger and garlic was underwhelming. The garlic and egg fried rice: This was the star of the show. The flavors were on point. It came with an over medium it. Mixing that in with the rice made the rice oowie gooie good. Loved this. I plan to try more items like this.Overall solid and tasty. I recommend and plan to go back.

We really enjoyed the Alley Noodle Bar and will be back! The food was really good - and the sauce on the tofu and veggie wok was really different and enjoyable. We came in for an early dinner so was quiet with good service.

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. The server was incredibly rude and had zero personality, making the entire experience uncomfortable. From the moment I sat down, I didn't feel welcome at all. They were rude not just to me, but to other customers as well. To top it off, they kept reminding everyone that they close at 3, as if we were an inconvenience for even being there. I will never come back. Terrible service!
