After hearing rave reviews from colleagues, I finally had a chance to visit Tasty Tails, and I'm glad I did! Although the crawfish boil was out of season, we were excited to explore the menu, especially since it was happy hour.French Quarter Fries: Flavorful but a bit on the salty side. The seasoning is tasty, but it might be a bit much for some.Traditional Charbroiled Oysters: These were decent and met expectations but didn't stand out.Jambalaya Eggrolls: These were surprisingly good. Some reviews mentioned they lacked flavor, but I think that's just the nature of jambalaya. The accompanying sauce was a great touch!Walk It Like a Dog (Gator Dog): It was okay--couldn't really discern the gator flavor. It's a solid hot dog but nothing extraordinary.NOLA Pasta: This was off the happy hour menu but a real highlight. Rich and flavorful, it was definitely a standout. The ambiance was authentically Cajun, with vibrant decor that brought a touch of Louisiana to the place. The service was excellent--Vietnamese-owned with a Cajun twist, and the staff-the three girls that helped us were all very attentive, helpful, and kind! Especially the blonde with piercings, was incredibly friendly and helpful-thanks to her we got to try the jambalaya egg rolls which we actually had initially passed on.Overall, Tasty Tails offers a great experience, particularly during happy hour. Even outside of those hours, it's worth a visit. Highly recommended!

On the bright side, I love the environment here! When you enter, you're greeted by a beautiful, colorful mural of all things New Orleans. There are beads dangling from the ceiling, and lots of other small decor that recreates that comforting feeling of New Orleans that everyone loves. The music is lively. They play both old and new school R&B, which I love! I sang along to every song while I waited for my food. The staff was also kind. Our food didn't take long to come out either. On the contrary, this place has a hit or miss menu. I think the key is to know what to get from here and stick to it. We ordered the crawfish (NOLA style), which is your traditional boiled crawfish and it was good! There is a slight spice, but it isn't overwhelming (I would like it spicier, but all Nola style crawfish is cooked the same way and spice level). I would've loved to taste the flavor a litttttttle bit more if they left the crawfish juice in the bag (they drain the juice and bring the crawfish to you dry), but they were nice enough to bring us some on the side. Unfortunately, by the time we got the juice, all the crawfish had been eaten. It looked good though! I will try next time. We were offered their house sauce to eat our crawfish with and it was not good. I'm not sure what flavor that was, it almost tasted like an oddly spicy barbecue sauce and there's an aftertaste I can't put my finger on?? My family didn't enjoy it. You have the choice to get your crawfish with that sauce or without. I would opt out and maybe ask for some butter and seasoning on the side. They have Tony Chacheres in the kitchen so that's a great sign!! I think this will be my new go to spot when I'm craving crawfish! I've also had the fried fish and shrimp with fries. It was okay. I ordered catfish but it tasted more like tilapia. The shrimp and fries were nothing to write home about, but they were all edible. I just wish they were more hot and fresh when I had them. The crawfish pasta I didn't like at all. The sauce separates and is salty but doesn't have an actual flavor it seems. I do love the rotini noodles though!Like I said, find what you like here and stick to it. I have a few more items on the menu I'd like to try like the crawfish empanadas and the beignets, so I'll definitely be back!

My first time trying this establishment, I was completely disappointed. The only menu item that made me consider coming back was the wings. Last Sunday, I happened to be in the area, craving good wings and a spot to watch the Eagles game, so I decided to give this place another chance. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a big mistake. The wings didn't have the same flavor as my previous visit. I'm not sure if they changed the lemon pepper seasoning, but they lacked the satisfying taste I remembered. To make matters worse, the rice in the red beans and rice dish was overcooked and gummy. For one alcoholic beverage, five wings, and a cup of red beans and rice, my total came to over $29.Needless to say, I won't be returning.

We chose this spot based of Social media reviews. It is rather loud not a place for an intimate date. It wasn't the most clean, had a funny smell.. The drinks were bomb!! We had the ghost punch. The food was ok, left much to be desired. We had the crawfish beignets that didn't have much crawfish in them and was really saucy. The cajun fries had a lot of flavor and were a little over powering.. The charbroiled oysters very good.. But the oysters were super small.

Daiquiris were Good!!! The service was VERY UNORGANIZED!! I waited 30+ mins for 3lbs of crawfish to go, however they were really good! They were so good that I went home and ordered another 5lbs online! They were supposed to be ready for pickup at 8:07 (the time I arrived), didn't get them until 8:50pm! If the service matched the ambiance, this place could easily be a 5 star! I do recommend, but be prepared for the wait!
