Takumi Sushi is an all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi restaurant conveniently located off Dallas Parkway, in the space formerly occupied by Taco Patron. You can opt for the "all-you-can-eat" experience for $40 or order à la carte, which is what I chose since I'm not one for overeating.I went with three rolls--the Asian Muffins, Dallas City, and a third whose name escapes me--but all were delicious and satisfying. To pair with my meal, I ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio for about $35.The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. I can definitely see this becoming one of my go-to spots.

Was hoping for a better experience than what I got based on the average Yelp reviews. Pros: - Great service - Decent price for AYCE ($30.99 for dinner) - Atmosphere - Plentiful parking - wait staff delivers food--no buffet linesCons: - website not helpful - no phone number, no mention of AYCE prices, says to "book a table for dinner" but no way to do that - Escolar EVERYWHERE - tried staying away from this fish that's illegal to sell in some countries, but it seemed to be in dishes where it was not mentioned (e.g. sunomono salad, seafood soup, "white tuna") which is bad since they charge you for things you don't eat - Some very odd tastes (e.g. the Japanese Cowboy roll, lame kimchi, flavorless hibachi beef that could have used some dipping sauces, etc)While AYCE are typically not my first choice, the fact this was food served by wait staff, I made an exception. The fact I stopped taking photos after the first "food drop" indicates how unimpressed I was with the experience. One reviewer made mention this was more of a Chinese place than a Japanese place. Since I've had best luck with Korean or Japanese owned sushi spots, maybe that had something to do with at least my expectations not being met? Luckily they did not charge me extra for the kimchi I could not get myself to eat--and normally I love kimchi.

We went on a Monday around 4. We were greeted instantly by the hostess and sat in a booth. The place was relatively clean and had a nice atmosphere. Takumi definitely has nice aesthetics. I enjoyed the artwork. Very welcomingOur server was very cool and attentive. She was super nice and very informative. Accomodations go a long way for me and she did it right. We ordered quite a bit of food and she pointed out each dish specifically which I am grateful for because it was a lot of food. The food itself was great. Sashimi tasted great and all the dishes were excellent. The salmon sashimi had really great flavor to it, and the cowboy roll was particularly my favorite. If you enjoy AYCE sushi, takumi is a hit. They have happy hour from 3-6.

Went for lunch with my son. We chose the AYCE option, which had quite a few choices for the price. No sashimi for lunch, but nigiri, making, hibachi, etc were all available. The things we ordered were all good. The Nigerian is on the small side, but the fish to rice ratio was on point, so it's all good.Staff was very friendly and attentive.Definitely would come back.

Overall, for an AYCE with Sashimi, I thought it was pretty good. The service was great and food came out fast.Sashimi - quality is what you expect, don't expect some high quality fish. I ordered only sashimi but my friend is a huge huge fan of their black pepper tuna dish!

I tried this place out with my friend for the lunch special. The lunch special was roughly about $20 and I think you really do get a bang for your bucks. The fish was overall very fresh and I would like to say its quality is pretty good especially for all you can eat sushi. The wait was quite long ; we waited an hour to be seated which I guess is expected since everyone was here for the lunch special. My favorite dishes would have to be the spicy tuna hand rolls, chicken Karaage, and the pepper tuna tataki. My one recommendation would be to get there early for the lunch special as the lunch ends at 3pm so you have more time to order all the food & reorder as needed. My friend & I over ordered so our stomachs end up paying for it later trying to finish everything. I would come back again & try more dishes!

Super close to the Galleria Mall. Takumi is a very solid AYCE sushi restaurant. I honestly think it may be my new fav. The fish was very fresh. I recommend ordering nigiris/sashimis as the rolls will fill you up very quickly. The white tuna was spectacular!!!

I had an amazing experience here! The sushi was absolutely delicious, with exceptional quality fish that was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth. The variety of sushi and appetizers was impressive there's something for everyone. The restaurant was spotless, with immaculate tables and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was outstanding, even though it was a busy Saturday night. The staff were attentive and friendly without making us feel rushed.I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area!

Came here on a Saturday. It was not too busy and we were seated right away. Restaurant was clean and spacious. The menu is pretty extensive but easy to read. We did the AYCE - It's pretty expensive even for lunch. Sushi was good, but warm appetizers came out cold/room temp. Overall wouldn't pay the dinner price for what we received.

Takumi is one of the newest all you can eat (ayce) sushi spots in town and it is incredible cheap for lunch. Their original location is in Pearland and they have expanded to the Dallas area. I think it's well worth the price for what you're getting. They have a lot of space inside, with the capacity for large parties as well. I came for the lunch ayce with some friends. We ordered salmon, tuna, and snapper nigiri, salmon and eel avocado hand rolls, and the rainbow, takumi, dancing eel, Asian muffin, spicy tuna, and eel avocado rolls. I love how they don't overload the rolls with rice like some other places. They don't serve sashimi during lunch but if you get the salmon hand rolls it's basically sashimi. My favorite rolls were the ones with eel in them. The sushi here isn't out of this world but it's really good for all you can eat, you can definitely get your values worth here. The only knock is that their service here can be slow at times. They are relatively new though so it is definitely something that can be improved in the future
