Tacos Y Mas - Hurst

SALT!If there's one word to improve Taco Y Mas it's that. Salt. Had four different types of tacos: Steak, Carnitas, Barbacoa, and Pastor. All lacked flavor and bland.Adding their Verde salsa didn't help as that was flavorless as well.Personally, I like rich, full, punch-you-in-the-face flavors and this tasted like I had COVID and lost my sense of taste while eating it.

I've been here a couple of times now, and the food is solid. Not outstanding, but satisfying. The service has been friendly and open both times, and food comes out hot and quick.This time we had the tacos and enchiladas, and enjoyed our meals. I do feel that the price is a little high for the quality, quantity, and location so it isn't somewhere I would come often. I also feel the ambience could be improved, as the location looks a bit rundown inside, especially in the back area by the drink station. Stuff doesn't have to be shiny and new to be neat and tidy looking, so I hope they take a little time to clean things up and get it back to looking nice.

The food is really good and authentic, the service is just as great as the food, the inside of the restaurant is very true to the culture has music playing and isn't very big but it doesn't matter when the foods amazing. I would definitely recommend the place to someone who is looking for a good Mexican take out place.

Randomly stopped in after dropping my kiddo at school. Ordered two bean and cheese tacos and chilaquiles to go. Even after a 15 minute drive everything was still hot and tasted fresh. The ladies working were very kind and patient as I tried to order in Spanish. Quite a few people were popping in for to go breakfast after I ordered. Definitely a sign of a solid spot!! I will be back! Cannot wait to try more of their menu!

My husband stopped in to grab us a quick dinner to go. He got a breakfast burrito and ordered me the Veracruz taco and a churro. He said his was "ok" but unfortunately both of my items went into the trash. The fish in the taco was so hard it had to be a few days old. I threw it away and thought well at least I can have my churro. Tore a piece off the end and there was still raw dough inside and filled with some kind of pudding? Nope, right in the trash. Absolutely terrible food, and even though this place is right down the street we will not be going back.

Saturday afternoon, we decided to try a different place for tacos than we usually do. the young woman at the front counter was extremely kind and patient with us, as we had not been in here before. I had (embarrasingly) forgotten to tell her that we were taking our food to go, until everything was ready on plates for us, and she showed more patience as she then prepped everything to go instead. I got the street taco plate, good value for the amount of food that I received, and carnitas had a lot of flavor and was very moist. Horchata was refreshing and not overly-sweet. The wait was very reasonable, for the amount of food that we ordered. There were several other small families eating inside the restaurant at the time. Everything in the front appeared pretty much clean, but we were taking our food to go. They advertised that breakfast tacos are available "all day" and I was tempted, but perhaps next time! Thank you again!

Friendly service and good breakfast tacos. Cowboy taco came with fresh chopped jalapeño and plenty of shredded cheese. Also enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast taco. Option of corn or flour tortillas. Salsa bar has plenty of fun choices with varying heat levels. I wasn't brave enough to try the peanut butter salsa, but maybe next time. The lady behind the counter made a fresh pot of coffee for me and even gave me some milk to go with it - so 5 stars for service. Will try the lunch tacos next time I'm in the neighborhood.

I've always past by this local taco joint and decided to make the decision to give it a try. I wish could say I had a great experience but I cannot. When walking in the person at the counter who takes orders, was on the phone. I wasn't sure when I was able to order as they continued the conversation they were having on the phone. I tried to stay positive in hopes that I'd still have a good experience. Decided to try the new Birria tacos they were advertising. They asked if I wanted the plate so I said sure. As advertised on the menu, plates come with rice and beans. Assuming that is what I'm receiving, I was wrong. Instead I paid $17 for three street tacos and one drink. When asked about the rice & beans I was told it did not come with it. Sadly I was disappointed with the quality of the tacos. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back again.

Worst tacos I've ever had in Texas. I could've threw some ground beef on the stove and made it better then they could ever have. So dry and bland. Never go here if you want tacos/ Mexican food.

Food is good but costumer service is awful. The ticket said the cashier name is Esmeralda. She's rude and very unhelpful. Never coming back to this place.
