Taco Cielo

I love trying out new taco places, and I was excited to find Taco Cielo close to my work. I popped in for dinner after getting off work one day, and was surprised to see the place was pretty much empty. I went ahead and ordered, getting 3 tacos with rice and beans. I got ground beef, al pastor, and barbacoa along with rice, beans, and chips with queso. The service was just ok, the person at the counter was not really interested in explaining anything or offering suggestions. The food came out fairly quickly, maybe 15 minutes, and it was all pretty good, but not great. The chips were a little chewy, almost stale, and the tacos, while tasty, were absolutely swimming in grease. So much grease that they were actually hard to eat because the tortilla was falling apart, and you couldn't put them back on the plate because of the pool of grease were the tacos were. The beans were actually super tasty, but sadly I'm not going to a taco place just because they had good beans, you know? The salsas were pretty good, but very, very spicy! I am hispanic, and I love me some heat, but I was reaching for the water quite a bit with the salsa. So, just be aware of the spice level there.Overall, just an average taco joint, but the price point was high for what you got. It was $16 plus tax for my meal, and I got water to drink. I probably won't be back, but I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from trying them out.

I get surprised this place isn't more busy every time, but at the same time I'm not. This place offers a pretty standard Mexican menu, and the food is delicious at a good price. The customer service is spotty though. At times the service is lacking, and others it's amazing. Dependent on who you get? I still recommend as they're worth the wait and possibly with more customer they might hire more people and get faster.

This place was awesome. I ordered the chorizo, egg and cheese breakfast tacos. You have a salsa bar to chose your heat level and the staff was great. Going back for lunch soon to try the tacos.

Loveeee their breakfast tacos which they serve late on weekends. They also have a salsa bar with one of my fav creamy jalapeño salsas

This place is very underrated. Normally wouldn't think to check it out but stopped in after living right by it for 2 years and it didn't disappoint. Their 3 tacos for $6 deal is a great value, they definitely don't cheat you on the meat either. Fajita beef is incredible and tender. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

Their menu looks very nice with a lot shrimp and fish options. However, California steak burrito caught my eyes and I decided to get it instead of getting the carne asada fries appetizer. I love that the California steak burrito included guacamole and use fries instead of rice to add crunchy texture to the burrito. I really like cilantro rice but sometimes fries in burrito just make food more interesting. The steak is a little over seasoned and on the salty side which made me feel thirsty and drink a lot water and cola. I took off one star coz the seasoning is off on the steak burrito(salty) and chips and guacamole(plain). The service is good and fresh, I want to try the shrimp and fish tacos next.

Working in Texas on business and dropped in and had a California Burrito. Immediately said to myself. " This place is the Bomb! Hats off they got it down. Seriously good food. Come get some Taco Cielo. For real.

Maaaaan if you haven't been here for some breakfast tacos then cut it out. Stop by on your way to work and get you some freshly made burritos or tacos. Salsa? Customer service? Food quality? Price? Finally a breakfast place that's not gonna cost you your entire check. Very fair prices and for the quality of the food they are doing a service to the community! Get down here and support these people because they just made my day and I hope they will make yours too!

I should have read the reviews before stopping here for tacos. The food was tasteless and the rice was hard. Very disappointed.

Ordered a simple taco salad and it was 40 minutes to get it.. bad thing is the place wasn't even busy! If you are in a hurry or even hungry this is NOT the place!
