Yesterday, we celebrated a fun birthday at Sakana Sushi, and it was an incredible experience! We ordered a variety of dishes, including the rainbow roll, salmon rolls, seaweed salad, dancing fire roll, udon, ramen, spicy edamame, spicy tuna tower, and tempura. Every single item was good and service was helpful and kind..One standout was the fresh wasabi, definitely a must-try if you're dining here! It adds an extra layer of flavor you didn't know you needed.

I've been on the hunt for a good sushi lunch combo and I stumbled upon this place. Honestly this place was pretty hidden, because I've lived here for so long and have never heard about this place. They had a sushi roll combo where you can get 2 rolls for 15 ish including tax. I had pretty low expectations just because you usually get what you pay for, but this was actly pretty good. I could taste the salmon and they even gave a surprise nigiri which was incredibly sweet. The nigiri had a nice thick piece of salmon. From what i could see, the inside was clean and had that nail salon vibe in terms of aesthetics.

Very fresh salmon as well!Chef's Special - cucumber wrapped around salmon, tuna, and another white fish. Ingredients were also super fresh and sauce was in the perfect amount. Unagi - Sauce taste great, tad bit of fishiness. Comes with 2 pieces which personally I think $9.50 is a bit more on the expensive side for.VIBES Since the last time I came, they changed out a lot of the furniture and the lighting is brighter. They have booth seating and also tables with chair/booth. Seats are very comfy and the place is very clean. Interior well decorated and gives a bit more upscale vibe. SERVICE Everyone was very sweet. They even gave us complimentary ice cream. Food came out quickly as well.

This place was an absolute gem! Everything we ordered was delicious, the service was good, the food came out quickly despite being busy. A must try, for sure. We started off with the crab rangoons which were crispy and packed with flavor. It was filled with crab, so much different than the usual cream cheese filling that most places have. The dipping sauce wasn't quite a sweet and sour, but more of a Thai chili sauce, which I loved. The spicy tuna roll had great flavorful and quite spicy. The James Bond roll was good and perfectly crisp. My absolute favorite was the green hulk roll. The sweet shrimp on top paired incredibly well with the spicy jalapeño inside. The jalapeño added an additional layer of texture to the roll. We will be returning just to try other rolls and some of the cooked dishes, like teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, etc.

My family and I have been coming here for years, and we have NEVER had a bad experience. Sushi Sakana has only ever given us 10/10 food, experience, service. The sushi is simply the most amazing in the entire area. The lunch specials are huge!! Dinner is obviously incredible!!As if the place couldn't get any better, they remodeled and now it's so warm and inviting inside!Shoutout to Jade, our favorite server!!Can't recommend this place enough. You can't go wrong w the sushi, but honestly, anything on the menu will be incredible.

Consistency, quality, and taste are 5 stars every time, and we are so glad to have found our weekly sushi spot! We did a dine-in experience last weekend, and that was excellent as well! Thanks to the sushi chefs and staff for bringing such great quality sushi to Plano!!!! Hands down one of my favorite sushi spots in Plano!! Sushi is consistently fresh and has been forever. Again a true testament to how great the food is as they have been in the same location for over a decade. It's very popular and gets packed especially after work. Lunch time isn't too crazy. I recommend coming during that time if you need a quieter vibe. They have one of my favorite plum wines here as well. Vino prices are up there but they do have a good selection. My fave thing to order is the seared salmon. SO savory, and good. They also renovated the entire place inside and now they have the cutest, coziest chairs. Perfect for a low key date night.

This is my absolute favorite sushi spot! I usually order for pickup, but the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, and the service is fantastic. You have to try the Love Love roll--it's my all-time favorite! Plus, the last time I ordered, they surprised me with some complimentary egg rolls. It's also a great choice for a first date, it's cozy casual yet nice enough to make it feel special.
