Amazing Indian food for a great price. We were the only white people in the place and I think that's a good sign that the food was really good lol

I love Indian food and I'm trying to order new things and expand my Indian food horizons! We just discovered Spicy Bites and had the best dinner...Here's what Jon and I ordered and our opinions that nobody asked for:Chicken Tikka Masala -- I know, I know. Again. But we had to try theirs and it is spectacular! Not too sweet, not too spicy, as it should be. The chicken was super moist and there was plenty of it.Kadai Paneer -- google tells me that this dish it traditionally made with kadai masala, bell peppers, tomatoes, kasuri methi, and paneer. If you're not very familiar with some of these things, I looked them up for you! 1.) "masala" is a blend of spices originating from India, and some of the most common spices in it are peppercorns, cinnamon, cardamom, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, cloves, mace, and nutmeg. 2.) "kasuri methi" is fenugreek; a plant with a sweet and kinda nutty flavor that people liken to maple syrup or burnt sugar. 3.) "paneer" is "a fresh acid-set cheese common in the Indian subcontinent, made from cow or buffalo milk." Needless to say, this Kadai Paneer dish is incredible... The cheese is the perfect texture. It looks and feels kinda like tofu, but it's more crumbly and salty and soooooo yummy. Dal Takka -- Dal = lentils, and Holy Cow Vegan describes this dish beautifully: "It's a creamy and comforting dal, with that perfect blend of fire from garlic and red chili pepper and tang from tomatoes. Top all of this amazing goodness with a "tadka" or tempering of hot oil with mustard seeds cracked wide open to disperse their amazing flavor into the lentils, and you have a recipe for comfort." To me this dish was like a super thick, savory, almost smoky lentil soup. I added a little lemon juice and salt and was very happy. Bhel Puri -- Wikipedia helped me with this one: "a savoury snack originating from India... It is made of puffed rice, vegetables, a tangy tamarind sauce, and has a crunchy texture." It's definitely a fun snack food... like savory rice krispy treats! That's all we ordered on our last visit, besides the ridiculously-amazing-smelling garlic naan that Jon had... I absolutely recommend this spot! The prices are right and the food is fantastic.

I ordered the egg curry, it was so delicious. It came with 3/4 eggs and a side of white rice. I had samosas and wow, so delicious and they had plenty of stuffing inside. Service, well they are average in response time but friendly. I got there to pickup after the 25 mins mark and my husband still waited another 10 mins. They are usually busy in the evenings and weekends. There is no ambiance, it's just a normal looking restaurant, they can probably do a little better. But in all honesty, who cares when most people order to go or the food is so good. This is not the typical spot you stay to enjoy the atmosphere feel. BUT GREAT GREAT FOOD!! I ordered 3 different curry and they were all finger licking good. Their mango lassy was delicious. You can't go wrong at all. It's worth the wait.

The food I ordered was so delicious, mesela omelette and spicy egg curry. Im not familiar with Indian food, but the cashier was helpful in describing the items so I could choose. I are in the dining room and watched the Indian music and dance program on the tv. Clean and well cared for establishment.

Samosas and Naan were good, but the Food took a very long time. They definitely need some more help in the kitchen and in the front. They're super popular and more of To-go type of restaurant.

This was a dangerous meal and I have other complaints. See pictures. First, bone as sharp as a knife. This could have caused serious injury if swallowed or chewed on. Second, lots of inedible spices in both dishes. Plus more bones. If it can't be eaten, it shouldn't be served. Third, I found two threads that look like hair. Half inch long and light colored. Animal hair? I don't care if I find one hair, I keep eating. But two is gross.Fourth, I kept getting substantial gritty mouthfuls in the curry. Like sand. Are the spices not ground up enough? Health inspector should check it out.Reply to owner: There is nothing to fix at that moment. The harm was done. And I shouldn't have to say anything. We want you to not serve knife bones to diners. Don't serve whole star anise in a dish. She could have been seriously harmed, if not killed, by that bone.

Flew out of town to dine at this place. Typical and authentic Nepali cuisine. Mutton Sekuwa was just awesome. Please do not compare with Indian cuisine, Nepali taste and spices are different. However, tikka masala and naan were better than other good Indian restaurants.

I NEVER leave reviews but I HAD to this time! This is the freshest, tastiest and quickest Indian food I have ever had, and I've had ALOT. It is in a small strip center by UTA. The place itself is small, but Plates are HUGE. We ordered Veggie Biryani (which could have fed me and my two adult children) and Muttar Paneer (which was the BEST I have ever had!!), chicken samosa (these were mid to me, but my daughter said she would order again), both regular and garlic naan which were fresh and tasty (especially the garlic one!), paloo paratha (I thought $5.00 was pricy, but it was fresh and DELICOUS! I would order again even with the price) and LASTLY I ordered a mango lassi, which I have never tasted, so I am not sure how it compares to the rest, but it was good. This is a MUST check out place.

The food here, from what I've tried, is really good. The vindaloo is actually spicy if you want it to be! The garlic naan is also very good. The rice is cooked perfectly with good flavor. It's kind of a quick in and out type of restaurant, lots of college kids coming and going. Maybe not the best spot for a date, but if you want good food they have it.
