This is where play and art meet! Such a fun, creative space! Greeted when we walked in by this super nice person who explained everything! There was an art installation (similar or part of Meow) and so much fun to take a look at this vibrant and funky art. For Insta people, lots of fun photo opportunities! There is a giant steel structure/installation that has lots of space to climb in, slide through and explore. So much to see and we spent a good 60 mins of play there. Make sure to check the corners ( you're allowed to go in) so you don't miss anything. We almost missed an area. Also there is some areas to do some art as well. We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width. Parents with young children should follow, they literally can land up somewhere else and some areas they do need to climb up and might need help. Definetly wear sneakers. I wore the wrong shoes and couldn't go into certain areas.Great concept and fun!

This place is awesome--I can't believe I've never heard of it before. It is super bizarre and lots of fun. Spark is basically an open, warehouse-like space. One room is decorated with bright mosaics and colorful light fixtures, and there are several tables for art projects and parties. Another room houses a multi-story enclosed playground made entirely of upcycled material (aka trash). There is, inexplicably, a third room decorated like an abandoned space ship. It is all so much fun. The playground area is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. It's like a crazy post-apocalyptic maze sculpted from car bumpers and wire. There are so many unexpected touches, like tunnels that go to other rooms, a Pink Panther display, and the massive metal slide that you can only access by crawling through a net. The whole room is full of weird, creative tchotchkes. My son also loves the giant blocks and giant Lite Brite. Agree with the website and other reviewers that Spark is best for kids aged about 7 and up. Durable clothes are a must (no leggings or athletic pants - suggest cotton and denim).Reasonably priced at $10/person with no time limit, not crowded, free parking right outside. Highly recommend! I'm shocked this place isn't packed every Saturday but also love the privacy and free run of the space!!

This summer I tried something new and enrolled my 7 year old son in a different camp EVERY week. It took a lot of effort, but I wanted him to get as many different experiences as his little developing brain could absorb. This was not an easy task. During my research, I stumbled across this little Dallas gem...SPARK! and he couldn't have been more pleased with his experience. So much so...that he asked to come back for one more week of camp! The staff and volunteers at SPARK! are so friendly and embrace creativity from all ages! The play area they created for kids is an experience like no other. I do recommend, however that the experience would be more enjoyable for kids starting around 6 as the structure requires some climbing experience. However, they offer fun creative craft activities (made from recycled material) if you having younger children. It really is a win for the whole family! It's not just a place for summer camps. You can visit for a single day experience (but your kids WILL be asking to go back)! Skip a trip to Chuck E. Cheese, and take your family on a truly unforgettable trip to SPARK!

A variety of activities for children my kids especially like the giant light bright game, the selfie area for photos, the giant slide, and the spaceship so many things to do for every age group. We can't wait until they open back up, such an eventful full experience. They even have arts and crafts can't go wrong with this kid outing.

Okay, it's not that it's a bad place, but technically it's a jungle gym made of recycled metal. So if you have rambunctious kids who like to climb up into things and dark corners (yes there is a section up there that's totally dark) Go for it. Then they get to slide down the metal slide, that's pretty awesome and scary.. so the thrill is that.. the kids would love it.. sensory kids not so much.. it's pretty in its own unique way, it has this cool metal swing, and front half of an aero plan structure swing, a cool Dr Sues chair, a cool light up structure that you can decode messages. Would I do it again, most probably not, the first time we went, we came back with torn pants, (snagged on the screws holding the structure in place) a scrapped face from rowdy kids on the plane structure, and a terrible headache from the volume of noise and the one song that was repeatedly played over and over and over!! The 2ndtime was torn pants and t-shirt, a scrapped elbow and the same headache.i must say getting a mold of our hands from the hot wax was the most memorable thing from spark. In my opinion with the amount of scraps and crying kids in the hour I was paying attention to in my 2nd visit, (oh and 2 other torn pants) has me questioning the amount of injuries that happen here?

Spark is amazing for kids and adults! We love to visit on the weekends or school holidays, especially if it is cold outside. They have so many creative areas for kids such as a huge lite bright, a net bridge, a ship and a slide almost 2 stories high. It is a ton of fun and a bargain for only $10 for kids and $5 for adults. They also offer birthday parties on weekends. It's located in the Southside on Lamar building and the parking is easy to access and free.

Awesome, artistic, hippyish, creative place for kids and adults LOL! First time with the fam here today and we had a great time with the kiddos here! We did Wax hand making, water color painting, climbed around in a huge metal playscape and played with a huge Light Bright board.... Re: the playscape it can get claustrophobic in a couple areas and be aware that some areas have small bolts that are not dangerous but can snag or pull on clothing so have kids wear old clothes that you wont mind getting dirty or a hole or two in)! Even has a snack bar, and a cute co-op coffee shop and convenience store right outside (not the same owner). Will be going back... PS Not for lil kids. 6 yrs n up is minimum appropriate age, in our opinion.

Had a lot of FUN! As an adult, its not often that you get to feel like a child again. My coworkers & I had a blast on all of their play structures. We were actually all very sore the next day at work from all the fun activities we were able to participate in at SPARK. Everyone at the meeting space was very friendly and accommodating. I've attending training seminars at various other locations, but I much prefer this location.
