Southern Maid Donuts

I always pass this donut shop and finally stopped in. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I was excited to see that there was not a long line. I ordered and iced caramel lattes and mini kolaches. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was so happy I came ins i had to get a cute picture by the sign they have outside to celebrate. So good!

First time here and let me tell you.. this place has some of the best breakfast tacos you can have in Dallas. I had the bacon egg and cheese and chorizo egg and cheese. OMG.. The chorizo is so good and just the way it's supposed to be made with a bit a grease. Yum. The service was very professional and polite. It's great to see more Hispanic women in businesses like this. Great cooking and great service goes along way. I will definitely be making more frequent stop here. Don't forget it's inside the Donut shop!

Two of my friends referred me to this little gem on the outskirts of downtown/design district. It's a cute little pick up and go spot with not just donuts but a whole menu for breakfast burritos, tacos, and plates. They have a full donut selection including kolaches and croissants. I tried the strawberry cake donut.....listen. So. Good. Soooo. Good. Prices are very comparable and reasonable, I'm definitely going to grab some for my team the next time we're in the office! Note: they're only open in the early morning & afternoon, 4am to 1pm!

LOVED the chilaquiles here! They were freshly made because they were still warm when I got to work. The ladies were super nice.

Can't believe no one has reviewed this location yet! I live right next door to a SMD, but this one is worth the drive because it offers breakfast tacos and burritos (with choice of sausage, bacon, turkey bacon, chorizo and potato), migas, and other breakfast plates, in addition to kolaches (small and jumbo) and the regular standard donut fare. I ordered one bacon + egg + cheese taco to try today ($2.49), and it came with a tiny cup of homemade green salsa. SO GOOD! Definitely going back for a burrito next time (which is just $4.99). What a surprise find in the Design District!

This donut shop in Dallas, TX was amazing! The inside of the shop was clean and the atmosphere was very cute! We felt very welcomed and the donuts were delicious!

The previous owners are back!! It was nice to see them there again. Love it here, their breakfast tacos and green salsa are the best and if you call and order ahead your order will be ready on time! Great customer service!

The green chilaquiles were amazing and spinach and feta was nice warm and flaky will be coming here again

Terrible attitudes from staff, rude, missed order notes and took no accountability or responsibility for their lackluster breakfast tacos. I will not be ordering from this place again. Even their sausage rolls were gross and not fresh. Please don't waste you time or money and go someplace else! Instead of resolving the issue the manager argued over my food. Never again!
