Soulful Street Bites

Ok I get a feed about this place and I just had to try. You go in and get in line to order for either take out or dine in. So cut inside and great music playing. I chatted with people in line as to what their favorites were. I ordered my food to go. So sorry no pics but you can look on Yelp. I ordered fried shrimp and catfish bites, huge order. It came with 1 side I ordered cheesy spaghetti, but I wanted more. I ordered cabbage and boudin rolls. Absolutely amazing. I will be back.

I was in town and a friend suggested this business, their menu has a lot of options and a lot to choose from. We wanted to try a little of everything. -Catfish bites plate (it came with one side and hush puppies I got crawfish egg rolls)-Wings please (hot lemon pepper) -Chicken Wing plate (it came with one side chose mac & cheese)-ordered a side of cabbage and sweet potatoes Dislike: The sweet potatoes that were cooked good but lacked sweetness for me. The cabbage also lacked flavor and the huge chunks weren't cooked down. I excepted more out of the crawfish eggrols and they were just okay. I had sandals on and the floor was greasy or something cause I was sliding when I walked wasn't very safe walking with my drink in my hand.

I love this place! I have been looking for good bbq in the Dallas area and I finally found somewhere that is a worthy contender. I ordered rib tips, collard greens and potato salad and everything was delicious. The sides were correctly portioned and the food was cooked well. The cornbread on the side was a great touch as well. I look forward to trying more items from the menu!

Amazing place! Real southern soul food that hits all the right spots. The brisket Mac & cheese is the bomb, the yams slapped, and the collard greens were just right. Make sure you get the koolaid and the banana pudding for the finishing touch. Fast service without much fluff which is just how I like it. Polite and efficient. Plenty of seating and not all crowded or smushed.

The food and service here are exceptional! This restaurant has a unique setup where you review the menu on the wall, then stand in line to place your order and find your own seat. Once your food is ready, the staff will bring it to your table.The catfish, wings, brisket mac and cheese bowl, neck bones, baked beans, yams, and greens are all excellent choices. Everyone in my party was very satisfied with their meals. I can't comment on the drinks, as I had water, but I heard they were out of wine and all frozen drinks.I had a delightful experience and plan to return very soon. Ask for Brandon, he was amazing!!

The place is really nice. Has great music. Had the temptations movie playin. Love that movie. The food was good. I want to go back to try the wings but the catfish bites and shrimp n Mac definitely did the job

Visited today around 2p. Ordered to go. The wait wasn't long. The staff were pleasant. For future reference, I asked if they took call-in orders and was told typically not on the weekends due to being so busy. I wanted to try several things but I went with the mini brisket Mac & cheese along with the smothered pork chop and rice with a side of yams. The brisket Mac & cheese was so good, very cheesy. Next time I'll leave off the cornbread crumbs, though. The yams were tasty but firmer than I'd prefer. I'm so full, the pork chop will have to wait until tomorrow. Hopefully, it'll taste as good as it looks. I definitely will be back. I want to try the fried ribs.

Ordered uber eats, never received the mash potatoes that supposed to be one with the catfish nuggets, catfish was soggy, mushy, brown and falling apart and not the right breading. the brisket mac and cheese was all cornbread like breadcrumbs and brisket and the mac and cheese was dry and burnt. disgusting couldn't eat any of it.

Food and service is on point!! Ambiance is like a neighborhood establishment. Saw people from all over enjoying great soul food. Owner has Louisiana and Mississippi roots by way of West Africa.

I catered food for an event, When the food was delivered through Uber, the store did not include a side. I really wouldn't mind if the sides were fast food rates, but their sides start at at least $40 and up. I called them right away and got no answer I also emailed them still no response The next day, I called again and left a voicemail. I received a text a few hours later saying that the amount will be refunded. It is now almost Friday again when this order was placed on Friday 2/21, and I still have not Received any type of refund information. I will be disputing this with my bank, If I do not receive the refund by Friday 2/28/25. Horrible way to run a business I spent over $300, Don't order anything through catering pick up your food.
