Hands down the absolute best spot for BBQ/Soul Food. As a Chicago native, I am a true foodie & will travel both near & far for a dope meal. Smokin BBQ always understands the assignment, 10/10! Today I ordered via DoorDash because I'm recovering. I called to verify the menu accuracy & appreciated the compassion & willingness to assist. My food arrived piping hot, plentiful portions, packaged safely & perfectly seasoned/cooked. I immediately smiled & was comforted by the personal touch on my container. That small touch of superior customer service is unmatched.Let's get to the eats! Jerked Chicken 10/10Mac & Yams- 10/10Banana Pudding- 10/10You will not be disappointed with anything on their menu. They have the best baked macaroni & cheese in town! (I said what I said) This was the most comforting taste of home on a day I wasn't feeling well...

Amazing amazing amazing ! The yams were perfection (not drowning in butter and brown sugar, yet so flavorful), the collard greens spectacular. The cornbread wasn't dry and it was a pretty big size. I've tasted a lot of dry cornbread in the Dallas area, but not this place.Yams 10Peach cobbler 10Collard greens 10Cornbread 10Mac n cheese 10Baked beans 8.5 - too sweet for my taste. Im more of a red beans and rice girl. But my daughter loved themCustomer service 10!!Great bbq! Ribs falling off the bone and brisket well cooked. The bbq sauce was served on the side, not smothered all over the meat. That's how you know you've got good bbq. Yes, I got all those sides and the prices were great for the amount of food I purchased.

I tried this place because of an uber eats promotion advertising it. It was black owned so I hoped it was good. The flavor profile did not disappoint. I got the 2 meat plate with double greens, and everything tasted AMAZING. Im giving it 3 stars because I paid almost $20 for this plate and received more fat than meat

Omg! I heard good things about this place and my husband and I decided to stop by after church. I'm glad we did. There food is amazing and so was there service. We will definitely be coming back. We even received acomplimentary sample of there banana pudding :).

Saw them on yelp while driving around looking for food. The staff was helpful as I didn't know the menu well and had questions about the chefs daily special, which was meatloaf and in a tasteful unique sauce. I got the 3 meat plate with fried ribs, rubs, and brisket. Everything was really good especially the Mac and cheese on the side. I had a frozen hypnotic drink that was really good. HIGHLY recommend trying them out.

Awesome customer service!!Everyone was extremely friendly and even offered free samples :)I wanted a baked potato, but they weren't done yet, so I ordered something else. The young man that took my order went the extra mile to double check on the potatoes that were cooking and they were actually done, so I got one after all! :)My potato was huge!! And it was sooo good!! Had smoked turkey on it and man, was it tasty! My daughter and I shared it and still had some leftover. We will definitely be going back. What a hidden gem!

AThis food is old I tried to try something different and the ribs were old the Mac and cheese was leftover old also the beans taste like pork n beans my food was delivered so I have to re do the old food and eat it! And on yelp they have 4 stars I'm a cook and a part time caterer so I definitely know what I'm tasting and there is no smoke flavor what so ever

My family love some Smokin bbq in DeSoto TX. Everything is good from the famous ribs, sliced brisket, sausage, smoked turkey. Their stuffed meat potatoes is the best I've ever had. I'm originally from California moved to Texas back in the 60's and have eaten bbq from Chicago to Kansas and all the in between places down route 66 and I will vouch for Smokin bbq as the best consistently bar-b-que I've ever had. I know tastes differ from person to person so I'm saying check Smokin out for yourself, I don't believe you will be disappointed.

Brisket was burnt, dried out and old. Chicken was dry and boneless breast. Now, the beef smoked sausage was good.
