Shuck n Jive

What an amazing little bar. Mostly regulars and I'll be shot for this public display of affection but so be it. It's the dark, homey bar with awesome food. Let me say that again. "AWESOME FOOD". I've had the pasta, it's the thin angel hair and I've had it with shrimp and blacked chicken. I've also had the fried shrimp po-boys. All three entrees were spectacular. They have a good pour on their mixed drinks and ice cold beer. All at decent prices and had a very friendly clientele. Come down and make new friends. Heads up I don't smoke. This is a smoking bar. It's never ever been bad when I was there. I'm usually home in bed by 10 Now maybe the latest night crowd l, it could be bad but from my 6.30 till 9pm it isn't bad at all. If you're the sensitive type or have asthma this place might not be for you. You will just have to miss out on some great folks and good food !!!

The shucking jive is a hole in the wall that has fantastic jambalaya. It's great on rainy days and you just trying to get a break from the office. I'd sneak away the spot and enjoy the meal. It's reasonable priced.Lunch for one 15 coconuts

Best crab and crawfish prices in the area for sure! Plus no fancy fuss. At all!!!!!!!

Had the worst experience at Shuck n Jive in Addison with some friends last night. The bartender, Kirk, was very rude. I pointed out that he didn't offer us any water. He responded, "well we're closed now." I come here often and order the chargrilled oysters to-go and I've never had such a displeasing experience. We toured three restaurants I. The Addison area last night, and Shuck-n-Jive disappointed. I had to apologize to my friends for recommending this place as we were treated very poorly.

Tried this place trying to find somewhere serving after 12am .. walked in and the smell of cigarette smell not a good thing. Ordered to go .. food came out in a timely manner .. live music was nice .. but still hard to wait and actually enjoy because the cigarette smoke... I got the blackened fish tacos and a side of gumbo .. the tacos were ok ... the Gumbo was not good .. had way too much okra and it was overcooked and heavily salted with no sausage.. or shrimp and no gumbo flavor at all .. Guess the positive thing I can say was the staff was very friendly. I would like to come back for the live music and drinks but that smell it will have to be a pass

The wings with grilled onions dry rub are the best and my favorite! Jambalaya is out of this world! The burger is one of my favorites too perfect meat to bun proportion!

I'll start with the positive. The staff and customer service are great! Food is okay, but I've definitely had better. My biggest issue is that they allow people to smoke inside. So when you walk in it smells Smokey. Overall, I would choose to return for a quick option, but not for a option when I'm really hungry. There is a night club attached, so I think I may come back if I'm going to attend the club.I ordered the fried shrimp. I liked the fact that they butterflied the shrimp. The shoestring fries were fried perfectly. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it reminded me more of fast food than restaurant food. I also ordered the clam and shrimp chowder that I had to send back, because they don't list that it comes with bacon. This should definitely be on the menu, since I don't eat any meat other than seafood. The biggest positive is that the drinks are string and good. They were just an odd price. Why would a drink be $7.16 before taxes? But this is definitely not a complaint, because the drink was great!!

Great service and awesome food ... drinks are priced very reasonable... only downside they allow smokers !!!Get the chicken wings to go !! Amazingly Goooood !

I actually really loved coming to this bar when I come to town! Mike is a great bartender, but everybody else is absolutely disrespectful. I asked a woman bartender (blonde older lady) to plug in my charger, attitude. I asked for my phone back, attitude. And it is absolutely ridiculous to have somebody work in customer service with a horrible attitude!! My mother has been a bartender all my life and for me to be intoxicated and these mfs have kids, & to kick me out with a dead phone knowing I'm from out of town when I'm causing no problems !! Just wanted to charge my phone is ridiculous. & is HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY!!!!!April 10, 2024

Tried to go here but it is smoking bar restaurant and as not as smoker was overwhelmed by atmosphere. Sorry thought it would be great place.
