Seven Mile Cafe

Maaaaaan. Seven Mile Cafe might make a regular out of me.Upon arrival I will say that the outside of the building is quite deceiving. I can't remember what if any other restaurant existed here before them, but the exterior almost gives the impression that this restaurant was thrown together in a haste & opened to market mediocre breakfast, brunch and lunch items. However once inside you feel like you're visiting your stylish great aunt for breakfast. The ambiance is warm, decor is modern but minimalistic & there's sooo much seating space. My fiancé and I visited on Sunday around 12pm so there was a small wait, but once seated service was quick.When it comes to the food I can't say enough good things. For drinks we got their orange juice & seven mile latte. I do recommend going for the carton/bottled OJ over fresh squeezed because there is a difference in how much you get for how much you pay. The latte was delicious, seriously no notes. I've never been to a breakfast place that served lattes and did not have to add any sugar. Everyone knows the latte is for people who are more on the vain side lol (not that flavor doesn't matter but it's definitely secondary to the design). I'd always be bummed when I had to add sugar and disturb the design by stirring the drink, but that's not the case here and when it comes to the flavor it's not too strong but not too sweet. For food my fiancé ordered a pancake with a side of bacon and cheese eggs. He orders that everywhere we go, and seemed to enjoy it but the star of the dishes was the strawberry nutella french toast I ordered. I'm salivating just thinking about them. You get the acid from the strawberries paired w/the sweetness of the nutella & the crunch of the candied pecans that adds texture to the bite. It's sweet without being overpowering and just so darn good. My fiancé tried mine & wished that's what he ordered (which is huge because he's a very picky eater). If you need to break up the sweet just add a side. I got sausage links, but there's plenty of other options to choose from especially if you're vegan. The ONLY thing I can say that is a turn off is that everything is a la carte when it comes to the pancakes or french toast breakfasts. Gone are the days of old fashioned combos, but if you can swing it it's worth dining here. Our server was Sofia G. She had great energy, made sure to accommodate our needs & was ready for any questions we had. If you're lucky to have her she will take care of you.

Very very mid experience here at this location. I ordered a dirty chai tea latte with coconut milk; it came out watery and pretty sure there was no espresso. I kindly asked the server for it to be remade, and they did but it just came out the same. Pretty sure who ever was making drinks just didn't know what it was? Idk. Then our food comes out. I ordered "the usual": eggs, hash browns, French toast. The server asked if I wanted the hash browns crispy. They came out like chips. It was weird. Maybe that's my fault. Idk Also the price point is so high for measly eggs, potato chips, and a terrible dirty chai latte. Probably will not be back, the Fort Worth location is better anyway. We shoulda just stayed home

We (4 people) got here at 10am on the Friday after Christmas and it was packed, however, the front host/hostess stand was able to seat us right away. Every member on the floor was very pleasant, looked clean and they were professional and very diverse culturally- which always makes us hopeful for a good experience. They had a ton of team members working that supported each other covering multiple tables in a group service fashion. The food options were vast, which normally makes me hesitant- since very few places make a lot consistently excellent. However, I got exactly what I wanted when I ordered and all of the food that came out looked fresh, tasted fresh and was cooked accurate to the order. Everyone at the table was pleased. I only give this a 4 star because of our server. While Hilda was very sweet, she also seemed a bit forgetful. We had pork bacon delivered to one of our diners that requested turkey bacon, she never brought syrup for any of the pancakes, did not top off the water or beverages (just the cups given before we ordered food) and when more water was requested, only gave water to one of the four requesting it. Syrup was provided when we walked up and asked the host/hostess stand representatives- expeditiously. Our server disappeared for a good while (over 20 minutes) after the first delivery of food and didn't come back until after our missing items were able to be located by other servers we flagged down that helped us promptly. I wish I had gotten their names because the 3 gentleman that helped us between checking for items with the barista, grabbing food and syrup from the back and following up with us were A-1! When our server reappeared, she seemed a little flustered. We figured she may have been dealing with some personal matters and hope everything is okay. We tipped generously and in cash (taxation is theft), because aside from her aloof demeanor, the experience as a whole was pretty great. We will definitely be back! The food, cleanliness and overall attitude experienced in this establishment were great. We felt very satisfied with our visit and HIGHLY recommend visiting!

The best breakfast! Tacos were delicious. Service was amazing, chloe is the best! Friendly energy and super welcoming ambiance. 10/10 experience always

We arrived for breakfast. The place was bust but not crowded. We were sat at a table immediately. Our waitress Sophia was sweet and kind. She was willing and able to explain and make recommendations regarding the whole menu. We ordered the recommended French toast along with a simple 2 egg and bacon breakfast. Drinks were kept full and never ran out. After an hour wait we just got up and left. The staff were busy dealing with an outside incident that didn't involve them so they were distracted. Our food never came out and we left hungry. Several other guests were complaining about the lacking in service as well

The food was delicious- it was an extremely long wait so I would go on app to put yourself on waitlist. Also if you're like me and like a little bit of everything - the waiter helped me out by suggesting "the usual" with a side of French toast as a sub. It was all delicious and the Hawaiian mamosa was great!

Overall lackluster experience.Seven Mile Cafe is a breakfast and lunch restaurant with several locations in DFW area. We went to the Mesquite location on a Saturday morning at 1030 and it was busy but no wait. Restaurant is fairly large and open, lots of hard surfaces so it's kinda loud. Large menu with lots of vegan and GfF options. Full coffee bar, adult bevies, and baked goods. Our server was lovely. We both ordered egg scrambles -- one Denver style, one veggie. Asked if we wanted hash browns crispy and of course we did! Food took a good amount of time to come out so be patient. Everything else we saw come out looked great! Staff were attentive while we waited and overall seemed to be providing great service.Our food was not great. Both scrambles were very watery, had a mushy texture, and were lacking in flavor. Hash browns seem to be deep fried. (That's NOT a complaint!) The biscuit and toast were good. Some of the food had a faint fishy taste. Overall very disappointing. A note on drinks -- They do not filter the water. If you are from the area, you know that sometimes the tap water can taste funky. (Imagine the smell of lake bottom.) It's really off-putting to take a drink of tea or water and it smells of pond scum. So order accordingly if that's something that bothers you.

Great service! Although the food in general is a tad bit bland so you will have to season to taste. Ordered my hashbrowns crispy and they came out as basically chips so I had to get the soft ones. Plating is great and the overall ambiance and setup of the restaurant gives a comfy vibe.

Food was delicious, and large portions! Thankfully we got the petite portion of the French toast, which was great! The lattes were strong and flavorful, and the southern Benedict was very filling. We got there early on Saturday morning before it got busy, so our service was great!

Food portion was satisfying, but it is a little pricier than I'm comfortable paying. I'd come here to indulge only and not on a regular basis. Waitress and hostess were friendly and attentive.
