Came here as a party of five plus a toddler for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The place was quite packed and it had low upbeat music playing. The staff was very attentive (and helped when the toddler made a little mess). We ordered a large variety of food but I tried the spinach kebab (spicy and absolutely delicious. I would order these alone in bulk), the chicken kebab (also spicy and good but second to the spinach), the veg soup (tasty), and the masala dosa (very nice flavor). My companions all loved their meals as well.I did however have one issue which was how they box takeaway. We were a group of five in three different households and they boxed all of our food into shared containers so people who ordered certain dishes could not take their dish home without a bit of rigermarole.

Upon entering the restaurant, your eyes are instantly drawn to the beauty and elegance of the restaurant. Our server Gayagri was absolutely amazing. She carried herself with elegance and grace, while taking very good care of our needs. As for the food, everything was absolutely delicious. Biryanis- (chicken Raita) wonderfully flavored rice with delicious seasoned chicken pieces Sanjh signature meat curry-(Goat) tomato based dish with tender pieces of goat meat. Cornish hen butter chicken- never had a dish prepared like this before. But the sauce and the boned chicken was very delicious Masaaledaar Champan- (lamb chops) the spice rub and the char from the grill made this entree finger licking goodBharwan paneer tikka- seasoned cheese cubes topped with nuts, and cream. Tastes similar to ricotta cheese but firmer. The taste was wonderful Garlic naan- warm and tasty Cocktail- Kashmiri kahwa coffee- the best Scotch featured coffee cocktail I have ever had

Food was fantastic. Recommend the butter chicken, goat curry, samosas, and roti masala. All very very good, but the prices are just very high for the portions. Desserts $25!!!Service was average. No real guidance with respect to ordering. Server didn't ask if we had been there or what we liked. When we asked what she recommended she pointed out only 2 dishes. Our dining companions were seated at the bar to wait for us while we were already seated (thankfully we saw them and caught the error). So while I thought the food was excellent and earned them a 4* review, the value and service were not there this place is a 3.5*Also there was an automatics 20% gratuity added to our party of 4, which is fine. More and more restaurants are doing that, but the issue was the server didn't tell us and it wasn't on the menu so thankfully my wife saw it (the service did not warrant a 20% tip IMO).

Everything was impeccable. The location is gorgeous, the decor very elegant and beautiful. White tablecloth service to match. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. We started with the paneer tikka and chicken seekh kabab. I preferred the paneer, which we both really loved. For entree, hubs had the butter chicken and I had the lamb chops (masaaledaar chaampan). Both were really outstanding. We accompanied this with steamed rice (fine, nothing special) and the best naan I've ever had in my life.for dessert we had the rasmalai. It had silver leaf, saffron and an edible candle. It was delicious and worthy of a Michelin star. Be warned, this is fine dining. You should be prepared for a check that reflects the quality of the food and overall experience. That said, I will be back next time I'm looking for a special occasion Indian meal. Outstanding.

My wife and I decided to try this spot for our anniversary dinner, intrigued by the mixed reviews. It turned out to be quite an experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and beautiful, setting the tone for a special evening.Customer Service:The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff consistently checked in to ensure we were well taken care of, and the food arrived fresh and quickly. Do note that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to all checks.Food:- Dahi Bhalla (9/10): This was probably our favorite dish, even though it's technically an appetizer. These fritters are soaked in creamy yogurt and topped with tamarind and mint chutneys. The texture was delightful, and the flavors were bold and well-balanced.- Masaaledaar Chaampan (6/10): These grilled lamb chops were beautifully plated, and the meat was tender and juicy. However, the portion--three small chops for $45--felt overpriced to me.- Pindi Choley (6/10): A chickpea dish served with leavened bread. If you're from Kerala, it's essentially a highly flavored version of kadala curry. The flavors were great, and the bread was a standout with the taste of dosa and the texture of poori.- New Delhi Butter Chicken (4/10): This was my least favorite dish, which was surprising since I usually love butter chicken. The curry had an overpowering cumin flavor and lacked spice. The portion was disappointing--$35 for what seemed like a small serving for that price. - Garlic Naan (8/10): Classic garlic naan with buttery garlic flavor. Watching the chefs prepare it fresh in the tandoor added to the experience.Cocktails:The real highlights of the evening were the cocktails, which elevated our overall impression of the restaurant.- Yang's Old Fashioned (10/10): As a fan of Old Fashioneds, I found this exceptional! The bold Indian aromas made it a standout drink. I tried to catch what the bartender used besides the listed ingredients, but it remained a mystery.- Gulab Jal (8/10): A vodka-based drink with rose water. My wife found it refreshing and flavorful.Overall Rating: 7/10The cocktails and stellar customer service earned this spot a high rating. However, the food's steep prices with smaller portions were a letdown, even for a "fancy" Indian restaurant.

Gorgeous restaurant with stunning ambiance and fantastic service, but the food is just okay and overpriced.Ambiance & Service: Upscale and modern interior with marble walls and a gold foil ceiling. Service was excellent--friendly, professional, and attentive. Loved the personal touch of food being served directly.Food & Drink:- Drink: Anarkali - delicious mocktail! Not too sweet and refreshing.- Apps: Bharwan Paneer Tikka, Saag Anjeer Ke Kebab, and Truffle Blue Cheese Kulcha - The kulcha was tasty but lacked truffle flavor; the paneer and saag were flavorful. - Mains: Saag Paneer, Paneer Makhani, and Garlic Naan - Saag Paneer was the standout--spicy and savory perfection! The Paneer Makhani was bland and had an odd texture. - Overall: Overpriced for the quality. For example, $5 for a side of onions is egregious.TL;DR: Stunning ambiance, great service, but the food doesn't match the hype or price.

We came here for a weekend dinner for our anniversary. We came a few minutes before our reservation and were seated promptly. The staff is extremely friendly and really helpful with their recommendations. The place itself is stunning. We sat right by the bar so got to see the bartenders making the drinks. Their liquor selection is vast and the presentation is beautiful. For food, we started with the calamari which was fried to perfection. The sauce was a bit tart but still very solid. The chicken biriyani was amazing! Lots of flavor to it and the chicken was tender and falling off the bone. We also got garlic naan and goat curry which again was flavored really well. The portions were all very generous so we got to take food home as well. The meal was finished off with a nice cake for our anniversary.Overall, a 10/10 experience!

Our visit to Sanjh Restaurant and Bar was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautiful ambiance - it's warm, inviting, and set the stage for a memorable dining experience. We were promptly greeted and made to feel welcome, which added to the charm of the evening. Our party of four started off with their Shikanji, and it was refreshing and perfectly spiced - an ideal way to begin our meal. For appetizers, we ordered the Bharwan Paneer Tikka, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The Bhatti da Kukarh and Macchi Amritsari Tikka were also standouts, boasting authentic flavors and cooked to perfection.Moving on to the main course, we tried a variety of dishes. The Paneer was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, while the Sanjh Signature Meat Curry delivered a delightful depth of spices and tenderness. The Cornish Hen Chicken Curry was another highlight, with succulent meat and an aromatic sauce that we couldn't get enough of. We also enjoyed the Raita, which balanced out the meal beautifully.Every dish we tried was amazing, leaving us thoroughly impressed by both the taste and quality of the food. If you're looking for a place with great ambiance, exceptional service, and unforgettable flavors, Sanjh is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back for more! Five stars, hands down!

3.5 stars actually. Half a star deducted for the high prices. Not that the food wasn't good. It was. But which restaurant charges $25 for a dessert. Agree it was fancy. Went with the office crowd. With tips it was almost $150 per person. The appetizers were on point. Be it the chicken fish or the chaat. The main course was ok. Honestly it was good food. Nothing beyond and I personally wouldn't pay out of my pocket for these prices. Just saying.

Sanjh is a great find in the Irving area with some unique food and beverage options. A refreshing find to have some really good Indian fare.Making a table reservation thru OpenTable was easy. Valet parking and self parking options are available. We were seated promptly as we walked into the restaurant. The ambiance is really good with a really nice bar seating option as well.Aryan waited on our table and his service was exemplary. He offered great recommendations from the menu and they were all winners. The cocktail menu is interesting and offers some unique drinks. Definitely recommend Monsoon in Meghalaya for the flavors and the smoked old fashioned for the flavors & showmanship.Appetizers are the highlight - do try the fried squid, Saag Anjeer Ke Kabab & Paneer Tikka. Biryani for the main course was fine, not the most authentic. The rotis and gulnaar kofta are recommended. Overall quality & portion size of the food was excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant made it special with a piece of cake. It's the little things that mean a lot.Pricing : Not an inexpensive restaurant but you get total value for the money you spend. 20% service charge is added. Will I return? : Without doubt! This restaurant offers a complete dining experience which you will cherish.
