Hubby wanted a good Stromboli so Yelp said this was the closest place to try! The bread was amazing! We both wanted the inside temperature of his Stromboli and my calzone to be a little hotter but not a big deal. Friendly counter service but she brought the food out to us. Can't wait to come back and try their pizza next!

Nice little family owned Italian restaurant in West McKinney. They do a brisk takeout business - there was a steady flow of takeout orders the entire time we were dining there. It's small inside but the atmosphere is warm and cozy without feeling to crowded. Order and pay at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the chicken piccata and really enjoyed it. It tasted fresh and I liked that the white wine lemon sauce was tangy which balanced the creaminess of the dish well. The portion size was decent with two chicken breasts on top of a bed of spaghetti noodles. My partner got the spaghetti and meatballs which was basic, but good. They gave us a basket of rolls - they are huge! It's served with a delicious side of garlic oil.I chatted with another customer while waiting in line who told me her family has been coming here for years. She raved about the chicken pesto and said that's what they always order. Sali's isn't a fancy place by any means but the food is solid and it's totally worth visiting.

Based on my initial review, I was thinking it was a stand alone restaurant but this location is in a strip mall with other businesses and restaurant. There are lots of parking spaces in the plaza. This is a small restaurant where you order at the counter and then grab your table. The decor is cute and I really liked the light fixture. They brought Texas sized garlic rolls to the table with garlic infused olive oil. The waitress at the counter and the server were very friendly. The food came out quickly even though they had a hopping take out service. The food was decent. My gluten free pizza with no cheese was ok. The table favorite was actually the olive oil brought for the garlic bread.

Very disappointing. Based on look of establishment one might assume a hidden gem of authenticity, but it's not real. Food was clearly highly processed prepackaged - and the sloppy cutting of the tomatoes was a clear example of the passion in the food. The dough of the flatbread appeared to be out of a package - very processed and frankly not good. Profits might be better, but passion for quality Italian food has been sacrificed. Would not return and recommend, but service was acceptable so gave two stars instead of one

I got the lunch special, which includes salad, angel hair pasta with meatballs and bread. The house dressing was pretty good. I really liked the marinara sauce and meatballs. The meatballs were huge, so they're probably handmade. I thought the lunch special was a great deal cause it was cheap and included so much food.

I am so glad that use this fine restaurant for our holiday party at work. The baked ziti was great. The chicken pesto is AMAZING. The rolls are huge and the right amount of seasoning. All round VERY VERY GOOD.

Just had the worst lasagne ever. It was just a pile of lasagne noodles (5 or 6 layers) both vertical and horizontal with nothing in between. I've had their lasagne before with better results, but I won't be back. Threw it away.
