Robert Smith Family Park

Excellent park close by my house! We go weekly and love how diverse it is. Amazing walking path, the best splash pad, two sets of play areas, outdoor fitness center, pickleball & basketball court! Only negative is at night, the people at the basketball court uses foul language loudly so I can't enjoy playing pickleball because it's annoying and distracting. Other than that, it's amazing.

Beautiful Park in Fate. Shaded playground, large trail and splash park. Plenty of parking and lots of fun for the kids. Definitely worth the drive for an awesome park.

Last Saturday night was the First Annual Celebrate Fate event that was held at Smith Park in little ol' Fate, Texas. For being a first-time event, this turned out to be pretty awesome! They had a live band that played some great tunes; food vendors, lots of bounce houses and face painting for the kids, and not one, but TWO fireworks shows!! The first show started promptly at 9:00 p.m. and lasted 15 minutes and was pretty damned good. Then the SECOND fireworks show got underway and you could tell immediately that this was put on by a professional pyrotechnics company. The second show was set to music and was on the same level as something you'd see at Fair Park or Kaboom Town! I'm not kidding when I say it was phenominal - especially the finale! (Even my little doggies got scared!) Give this event another two or three years and I predict it's going to be huge! Thanks to the City of Fate and their sponsors for putting on this event.
