The River Legacy parks (east and west) are great and connected. The trails also connect to Viridian and even further so you will not run out of miles to walk or bike. Plenty of places to stop for playground or bathrooms. Lots of birds and bunnies when we walked around.

River Legacy Park is a good place to head for to go biking or walking. It's also a good place to stroll along pushing a stroller :-)Tip: There's plentiful free parking available hereThe downside of this place is the fact that there are quite a number of snakes here, so watch your step!

I LOVE this park. There's plenty of trees along the trail which makes it easy to escape the city and appreciate nature. The trails are well maintained and the paved sidewalk is smooth enough to skate on.I cycle and rollerblade here pretty often. Most people are really good at yelling "on your left" when passing. Trust me, you'll appreciate this in areas where you're alone out there and you've seen a bobcat in the distance or have read the sign warning you about wildlife. Yes! There are bobcats. I've just cycled right past them if they're standing on the side, luckily I haven't seen one while rollerblading (I'm afraid of anything with teeth). There's plenty of parking and the bathrooms are really clean. FYI, there isn't hand soap in the bathrooms. While on the trail, you'll see water fountains and and areas to put air in your tires/bicycle maintenance. There's also a good amount of benches throughout the trail to relax if your legs are on fire or your butt needs a break from the seat.

We love this park. We come every Sunday for a long walk and then let my daughter play on the dinosaur playground. It's very tranquil walking thru the trails along the rivers edge.Someone even started a mini fairy garden and we always have to stop and look at what's been added.

Loved this place when I used to live out here. I just to go running on the trail for about two miles, three times a week. The dog loved it out here too! There are some grassy parts where you can play fetch with the dog. On one occasion, I met one of the Park Ranger. He was really nice and knowledgeable. He pointed out a mama bobcat and her three kittens (I've never seen them outside of the zoo). The Park Ranger was making sure that the bobcats were thriving in the area, especially since he knew they were about a month old or so. (Bobcats are nothing to be afraid of, so don't worry.)

This is a pretty extensive nature trail that is perfect for a run, bike or hike! And who said the DFW area wasn't that 'green'. You can get off the beaten path or run along the pavement. I love to come out here when I get tired of running out in my 'hood to see a little something different! Plenty of parking in the area and also lots of people always out and about. I haven't been out there in a while so I believe it is high time to get back out and pay this place a visit! There's lots of trees and shade too for a warm day. Definitely one of the only reasons why I enjoy venturing out to the Arlington area besides seeing a game!

I like this park it's nice well kept and the trails are long. I used to run the really long trail until one day I saw a bobcat and kittens crossing the trail and it scared the crap outta me. I haven't ran it since I do run the shorter wooded trail cause more ppl travel on that one so the animals won't really hang out there. I don't know if the animals on the trail will attack or not and I just can't take that chance so I have to drive all the way to another park or trail to get my long mileage in. Besides the wild animals the more public areas are nice and they have a really cool kids play area too. If I had a kid I would take them there.

This is a well developed park with lots of picnic areas and kid playgrounds and large fields. It's very developed. I was looking for hiking. Unfortunately the bike traffic is pretty high on the paved paths and it was too hot in the limited shade.I'd probably go looking for another place to hike. If you're a biker or have kids on a picnic this is pretty good and it's free. Lots of space to run around and a very nice and large playground area.
