Waiting in a relaxing lobby with half dozen seats for the play to start.
Seating for 49. Kind of cozy and kind of nice

When me and my daughter first arrived it was a little door in a shopping center. This little cozy place is very nice and gets bigger once inside. Since the theater is a non profit they offer free drinks...beer, wine, sodas water. As well as snacks...variety of cookies and lemon pound cake and brownies, popcorn and candy bars. All they ask us for donations, we came to see "A Christmas Story". The play was excellent, just what you expect with a twist of their own humor. The kids were excellent and funny. They have different lineups for the months and you should defintley stop by and support the theatre. To buy tickets it's best to go in person and you can also but season tickets.

Did not know what to expect when we pulled into the strip mall the theater is located in. From the outside the spot looks very unassuming (like a strip mall store front) but we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Lots of charm and personality in the decor. It is a very small local theatre (intimate and cozy). The lobby area is scattered with chairs and art (some for sale) - great little area to socialize before the play begins. There are complimentary refreshments (water, wine, juices, popcorn, candy, cakes, cookies etc.) which you can take in with you to watch the show, and the refreshments are available again during the intermission. Although complimentary, you have an option to leave a donation (in any amount you choose) which goes towards licensing rights to perform the plays they present. One of the employees explained to us before the show that they also accept donations in the form of gift cards (Lowe's, Target etc.) that they can use to purchase items for the sets etc.The theatre itself is also very cozy. Seats about 100 (maybe a little more) - only three sections of seats - a middle section with an aisle on each side separating the two side seating sections. Every seat gave a good view of the stage. Our play. "Savannah Sippin Society", had a very good cast and was quite entertaining. Everyone involved with the theatre was very pleasant. I will stop in again to enjoy some local talent.

First visit to watch 'The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge'. What happened a year after his confrontation with Jacob Marley and the three ghosts. Lots of fun to sit up close and personal in small space. One of the few non-profit community theaters in DFW area. Remodeling underway to improve the experience.

Their web site seems down, but they are still around. This very small theatre is located in a strip mall in the middle of a residental district near UTD. Not where you'd expect to find one at all. It's not the fanciest place. The best part is the small theatre. Only three rows on the back and two to either side. It feels (and is!) very personal. You won't find any mikes here, people don't need them. They serve refreshments before the show and during intermission. It's a little local flavor in the Richardson area. The first show I saw here was last year, Six Women With Brain Death or Expiring Minds Want To Know. Absolutely hilarious.

This is so dissapointing to me. I really wanted to try this theater because I had heard good things about it. But...I couldn't even get tickets! No one answers the phone or returns a call when a message is left. (multiple messages left ) They also did not return multiple emails. I asked each time for someone just to let me know how to buy tickets...nothing. Either they don't need anymore ticket sales or they just don't care. What a shame.

I like the quality of the shows, getting to know many of the actors over time, and the informality of the setting. The room itself is not Broadway's velvet and chandeliers, but virtually every production gets a five star rating. Their website, RichardsonTheatreCenter.net, gives particulars on the current show. Getting tickets is as easy as calling 972-699-1130 and leaving your name, phone #, date of performance, and how many tickets you need. Pick them up and pay at the box office when you attend.

I'm a little late writing this review. I attended a show here around Christmas time. It was a little difficult for me to find; mostly because I didn't expect a theater to be in a strip mall. There is good parking and the parking lot is well lit. This is a lovely theater. It is small and intimate. The people who work there are very friendly. Most importantly, the play (Inspecting Carol) was terrific and possibly one of the funniest plays I've ever seen. The acting, costumes, and stage setting were all perfect. I'll definitely be back.
