Rice House Express Garland

Charbella H. Has an awful take on this place just so everyone knows. I was skeptical of ordering because of her review... ordered anyway, and in no way am I disappointed. The eggroll is great, the rice is cooked great, the lo mein is pretty good, and the sesame chicken is good too. Just wish the chicken was a little sweeter but to say "I threw away my whole meal it was so yucky" is just blatantly wrong and misguiding. This is the best place I've ordered from so far in the mesquite/garland area. R.I.P China City

Food is phenominal. Prices are reasonable. Servings are adquate. Best restuarant I've ever had the chance to expierence.

So I love this place. It's close enough for me to drive to (2 miles or so) or I can get UberEats delivery in about 20 minutes usually. The food is great. Chris's fried rice will definitely hit the spot. The other menu items are definitely better than average. The counter service is quick and friendly.

Rice House does not take online orders. It's Sunday at 7:13pm and their website says they are not taking online orders. There is an online order form, but they aren't taking online orders. That prevents me from trying this place out. Too bad.

The food was good! I ordered two orange chicken 1 mild and 1 hot. The mild was good but the hot needed more spice, rice was perfect on both ends and I would order again!!

My visit was not planned but I remember passing by this place a few times . After parking, I walked inside to a friendly face. I don't remember the young man's name but he's part of the reason this place is getting an extra star. There was also a young lady at the counter who never made eye contact or acknowledged me. I thought that was weird especially since I was the only customer there. I directed my attention to the young man who explained the menu to me. I ordered Chris Fried Rice. It's a double combination of meat and your choice of heat level. I love eggs so I was hoping to get a few extra. :). I also ordered a pork egg roll and a shrimp egg roll that is made in house. When I arrived home, I opened my box and tried a few bites. The flavor is ok but I'm not a fan of the rice. They add a slaw type blend of veggies to their rice. I can taste a little heat but not the flavors of the fried rice. I even tried adding soy sauce. I couldn't eat anymore so I tossed it in the trash. Next, I tried the pork egg roll but it was not great at all. The homemade shrimp egg roll was not worth the money. Someone forgot to add seasoning to these egg rolls. My entire meal went in the trash. I can't speak on their other dishes which includes beef and broccoli, sesame chicken and more.Maybe I just caught them on a bad day but I honestly can't see myself returning.

They got some good rice here for a somewhat reasonable price . The staff here is helpful and gave me some good advice as to what to try . The Chris fried rice appears to be where it's at, and the fact that you can change the spice level come in clutch for your preference style . Portions were great but the prices could be better. This is a hole in the wall spot that offers above average Chinese food . Every time I come here I enjoy it and I don't feel like it's over seasoned or burnt .

My first time here and it definitely won't me my last time. The staff were so nice and inviting. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.

This spot is a hidden gem. I bit pricey but I don't mind over paying for good food. The inside is clean and nice looking. Staff is nice and welcoming. I would definitely drive from Dallas for this spot.

I have been to this restaurant around 10 times now in the past year and I am so happy to say that the quality of the food just gets better. The staff is always kind and if we dine in they make sure we have everything we need. The restaurant itself is nice and not dirty at all, the restrooms are clean and we never have to worry about sitting in awkward silence because there's tvs to keep us entertained if we just want to relax and eat. I hope this restaurant stays for a long time. I am happy to say I finally found good chinese food in my area.
