Revolver Taco Lounge Gastro Cantina

We had a five star brunch today, served by several grandmas that may have cooked much of the food. Everything was fresh and delicious, and everything listed on the website was served except the shrimp and lobster and ceviche dishes, both of which I would have enjoyed trying. Especially amazing was the mole (served with braised chicken leg), ribs, mushroom/squash, menudo, agua fresco, and Mexican coffee, a bit sweet and cinnamony. The space feels like a picnic area, with lots of cement and some nice skylights.

Tasty late night spot in deep ellum. I got a carne asada taco and elote it was tasty. The guy working was super nice. Will def come back and try more things!

Decided to check out this spot while passing through town. The location itself is pretty unsuspecting from the outside but inside there's two sides one with a nice covered outdoor seating area and the other inside portion having a long bar and standard bar seats with a couple TV's directly behind the the bar. One of their claims to fame is being featured in a Netflix show so I was hoping the food would live up to the hype. The menu offers items like ceviche, burritos, quesadillas, and of course tacos with prices ranging from $11-$23 depending on the menu item. I decided to try the carne asada, al pastor, and octopus taco options and one of the margaritas. The octopus taco oddly enough was the tastier option of the 3 tacos I tried, the meat for the carne asada and al pastor tacos were a little too dry and chewy consistency wise and the mix for the margarita was pretty bitter and didn't taste very fresh. All in all service was decent but I was left a bit disappointed with the taco experience overall.

You will definitely get full so be prepared! Sunday brunch with Mexican guiso dishes was really tasty. There bistec cooked with chiles was my favorite thing had just the right amt of fat. Enchiladas were great too simple filled with just potatoes but was so filled with flavor. They even go around and offer items not on the buffet line I had a burrito and a tamale all really tasty! Alcohol I had Paloma's and I will just say one of the best I have had super refreshing not too much lime or grapefruit juice perfect combo!! There were only two things I didn't not care for 1- the mole was way too sweet for my liking I love it to be spicy 2- was bummed they did not have any hot salsas to be offered. Only saw jalapeños cut and a green salsa that seemed to be all tomatillo no spice. I have had there tacos on main st and had hopes the salsas made their way there but sadly it hasn't.

The waygu steak was DELICIOUS! The flavor the meat brings very yummy!They had this new dish the chicarron and that is a must have and try if you life chicharron!Great service! There was this Miss that was behind the bar that kept us informed and updated with our foods and if there was anything wrong or out! The gentleman behind the bar was very nice and kind too! All around kind staff!

If your into authentic Mexican say less!! The Sunday brunch is pure!! The staff was a bit slow but I'm pretty patient so it wasn't a problem. what most delightful was meeting the manager who was very hospitable! Told him I was a musician in the area and went further into extending pleasantries.

This place has some solid tacos. The indoor area is simple, but the outdoor area is decorated so well. We sat at the bar tables, and we were served very quickly. Our food also came out very quickly. Our server checked up on us often to make sure that everything was good, so we appreciated that. We shared the chips and guacamole, which tasted amazing. At other restaurants, they always miss the chip-to-dip ratio, but Revolver nailed it. The chips were so crunchy and tasty, and the guacamole was delicious. For tacos, I ordered two lengua tacos, and they were good! I thought these lengua tacos were slightly less tender and the piece of meat was relatively thin compared to other lengua tacos I've tried, but it was still good. For the price and quality, I would have ordered the other types of tacos though. My boyfriend ordered the al pastor and carne asada tacos, and he loved them. I tried a bite of each, and the meat is very flavorful. The tortillas taste amazing; they're soft and fresh.The prices are definitely higher than other taco places, but I think it's worth a try.

Solid taco place, a little pricier but they do have specials tacos such as lengua which was amazing. They also tried the enchiladas which were solid. Great service!

Pretty nice brunch buffet, it is around 40$ ish per person as they charge tip. The food is all made fresh, including fresh tortillas. They had a variety of options, and everything was pretty flavorful. They also include a few drinks in the buffet as well. I believe the buffet is only available on sundays.

Over price i don't recommend this place for no one it's a bad experienceIt was my first time here today with my 5 friendsThe food was averageThe buffet was over price ! 42$ * 5 per person with drinks was 280$ service was ok ( they clean ur tables, the are welcoming ) the atmosphere was beautifulAnd ..The bar tender (ilgordo) in the end he charge as twice from me and my other friend then when i ask him why, he didn't even apologize ! Seriously it was a bad experience . ‍
