Great stay!!Great customer service at check in!!Room was very clean and bed was very comfy. Love the Aveda products in bathroom.Great walk in shower as well!The only concern was the very slow service at the restaurant. Only one server and one bartender. Server kept apologizing for delay in service. Took 15 minutes before I was greeted and then a thirty minute wait for my check. Food was great!!Service was have been speedier if the bartender would have assisted.

"All the beds are the same here."Barely any eye contact, no apologies, no effort.This hotel is old, I chose it because it was close to the office I'm visiting. But 2 nights in this be and another one coming tonight, I have gotten no sleep since the ground is like concrete (carpet very thin) and I can't even sit in a chair all day at the office now. At this moment I'm squatting on a low desk writing this review.It's a pity, because the young lady I did check in with is stellar, big smiles, friendly, always greeting people everywhere. I will talk to her again today just to wish her the best and hope she is at a different hotel next time I visit Dallas.

Eerie dated dirty dangerous disgusting mess of a hotel. Something felt off when I arrived, the staff seemed miserable and alleged that the whole hotel was sold out so they could not give me a king...hotel did not seem busy at all.The elevator looked to be built in the 1980s and no inspection sheet that I could find. It stalled for about 30 seconds while I was in there.My room, I was immediately punched in the face with a moldy mildew essence masked with cheapCleaning products. The shower head was off the wall and covered in mold. I also made some new friends in my room, roaches, I counted at least 2 in my room. I also found them in the lobby on my way out. I felt I escaped a hotel hell and was lucky to get out of there.

The staff was nice and tried hard but overall this hotel is tired and in need of a remodel. My room did not have a light over the desk (no bulb), the toilet would run continuously, and the carpet was drab and looked a little gross. Ditto with the fitness center and the rest of the public areas. The food was also just so-so- maybe my company just paid for the low end stuff, but it seemed a little off. The bar was slammed at night and could not keep up with volumes. There still some former glory left; the bedding etc is Renaissance quality so it's not a total loss, but would rather stay somewhere else.

I'm very surprised about the reviews for this hotel. It's solid, yes a little older but very good nonetheless. I checked in super late Sunday morning and they had rooms available thankfully. My room was very clean and quiet. The rooms and building its self were cold, but it's Texas so I get why the air is on 24/7. My only grip, I wish they had a business area to work. Otherwise, I had a really pleasant last minute trip at the renaissance.

Hotel looks nothing like advertised. Not a horrible place but not great either . When you walk in the lobby gives a "dark and depressing" feel. Construction currently going on so there is no lighting directly over the front desk. Front desk was super friendly and got me checked in right away. Parking is free. I am staying for two nights. Elevators are old. My room is well cleaned. Furniture is old and lighting is yellowish in need of LED bulbs. Large TV appears to be 55 inch. Bathroom has some issues with wallpaper coming off above and under the sink area. Bathtub looks decent. This hotel did not meet my expectations at all. This cannot be a Marriott branded hotel. Two different days. Two different cockroaches. This is the 3rd time I have stayed in this hotel and I have yet to have a good experience. The floors are filthy. My white socks turned brown. There are bugs all over the place.

DO NOT STAY here. One of the worst hotels I've been to in a while. Dirty floors, dirty carpets inside the elevators and no attention to detail from the customer service representatives. The pool was disgusting and had tons of debris and was very cloudy. Billing issue. Hotel double charged us on two separate cards, held the pending charges for over a week and still have not been able to straighten out the charges or remove the pending charge. When we contacted customer service they acted like they have never encountered an issue like this before and were unaware of how to fix it. My sister and her family also stayed here and had a very bad experience with a broken AC, could not control the water coming out of the spout in the shower. The water was either too hot or too cold. And they also had double charges on their account. What a mess. Do better Renaissance Dallas North Hotel.

The only nice thing about this hotel is CRYSTAL CHOATE.........She works at the front desk and was very nice and accommodating!It is very frustrating when the tv turns off every 30 minutes and the lights do not work! I thought it was just my tv but my friend had the same thing in her room?.... Why is this????Also frustrating when the lights do not work! I think the hotel also needs to work on the staff and their communication with guests, their understanding of the English language was difficult and we heard it from several guests.

Room was clean. No bed bugs, contrary to some reviews I read. The QR code for room service went to a website that wouldn't load. When trying to use the phone in the room to contact guest services, front desk, etc., it either gave a busy signal or the phone was never answered. I had to call the hotel from my cell phone as if I were trying to make a reservation to get anyone to answer. No WiFi password provided in room. The tv in the room clearly states that it provides access to the entire HBO catalog of shows, but they didn't offer the newest season of True Detective. The hotel bar staff were inattentive. Not a great experience here. Stay clear.
