Red Gate Inn

Great location near downtown. The rooms were amazing and the beds were so comfortable. We took time to enjoy the hot tub and a glass of wine. Paul and Sharon were great host and made everything perfect. We highly recommend Red Gate !

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Red Gate Inn!! We stayed in the Yellow Rose room and loved it. The hosts were so sweet and accommodating. The home is absolutely beautiful and full of southern charm. Parking was easy and check in was seamless. We got a great tour of the entire home and loved hearing about its history. Thank you Paul & Sharon for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back soon!

This place is amazing. The house has old style charm with all the amenities you need. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was out of this world. We stayed in the desert rose room and the bed was super comfortable. The grounds are also amazing with lush trees and plenty of room to roam or sit and have a glass wine or a cup of coffee. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a first class B&B. It's close to downtown McKinney and they can even host events.

Beautiful historic home in McKinney, I was there for a Easter event, but it is a real showcase for romance. Ideal location for small weddings and romantic weekends. If you love beautiful homes and real southern hospitality, must check it out. The inn keepers Debbie and Gary maintain the place well and serve great homemade treats, the lemon scones are worth the trip alone. Short walk to historic downtown and great scenery of other turn of the 1900 century homes. It was decorated for the holidays, and I can't wait to see what it looks at Christmas!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast. It is in a great location. It is about a 10 minute walk to downtown shopping, dining and entertainment. The family who owns and operate this place is absolutely wonderful. Both Uncle Paul and Melissa made us delicious breakfasts and made us feel like family. This is an awesome place to stay in McKinney.

Paul and Sharon are amazing hosts. The Red Gate Inn deserves higher than 5/5. We were welcomed as family and they were a delight to visit with. They also give guests plenty of space and privacy to enjoy and explore the grounds and the wonderful antiques and sitting areas the Inn has to offer. The history of the home and antiques was very interesting. The Desert Rose room was perfect for our stay. The lavender bubble bath, soaking tub and huge shower was perfect after a long travel day. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on clouds. Paul and Sharon made us eggs with topping options, sausage, a fresh fruit bowl, AND pastry muffins for breakfast. Along with a special touch of a formal place setting of glasses, plates, and utensils. They offer several coffee, tea, and refreshment options. Amazing and wonderful! The Red Gate Inn is truly a gem but Sharon and Paul put it over the top. They are the epitome of southern hospitality and go above and beyond to help all their guests feel at home and have a perfect experience! Thank you both for everything. If our travels bring us back to McKinney we will DEFINITELY be back!!

Charming historic home in quaint neighborhood. Loved all the family photos. Paul and Sharon were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Easy short walk to the charming town, as well as close by to Dallas. Wonderful location for a wedding and/or family event.

This beautiful historic home in nestled in the historic McKinney. Only about a 5 min drive to the downtown square. We spent one night in the Yellow Rose room and had a lovely time. The hosts were welcoming and so sweet. We got a short tour of the 103 yr old house and some of the history. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was huge and it included a claw foot tub!! The next morning Paul and Sharon made a delicious breakfast with OJ and coffee. We will def be back!!!

What is nicer than having a great breakfast to start your day? What is nicer is having a GREAT breakfast to start your day, made by someone else! MY BIGGEST FAVORITE THING was how wonderful Uncle Paul and Melissa were to my MOM and me. They anticipated our needs, wants, and desires and really focused on us having an awesome experience. They filled us in on fun things to do in McKinney, as well as Dallas. They gave us suggestions, finding yummy meals and entertainment. They checked with us to see if we had any food allergies and made yummy breakfasts every single day (YAY).Other Favorites!1. Fancy tub2. First-floor bedroom (we did not have to go up and down stairs), even though they have other beautiful rooms upstairs.3. Fancy shower4. "Secure" Wi-Fi (I hate unsecure Wi-Fi - secure Wi-Fi puts me at ease)5. Peaceful environment (AHHHHH)6. Nature! Plants, shrubs, trees, wood7. So yes, I could have rented a house and been the hostess myself, but believe me, THE RED GATE INN, was the best outcome for me. The price was right on target. This vacation was an enjoyable rememberable experience for me and my Mom. 8. I GIVE THE RED GATE INN my highest rating! I give them a 120 on a scale from 0 to 100!Blessings and have a wonderful vacation!

Amazing B&B! So adorable & perfect! The owner is so warm and caring! The food was delicious, the bed was comfortable and everything was perfectly clean! We are so happy we stayed here & will definitely be coming back! Would highly recommend!
