Great place for a concert. Renovation of the Theatre kept the old style pure but modern updates. Sound perfect. Jack Ingram put on a great show.

This place is not fancy or grand but it has its own charm. Think of this place like a small town/ local version of a theater you would find in downtown Dallas. I went here one weekend to see a local comedy show and it was nice just to take a stroll and see all the surrounding shops as well!!Pros:-there is a variety of shops and stores to explore nearby. (book , music , café, movie shops)-you can lounge around and enjoy the weather at the square-during special events they'll have activities for guest at the square outsideCons:-homeless people out here sometimes near the plaza-can get crowded if there's a lot of people. The recommendation:This place is not a must see, but do come by and check it out if you have nothing else to do!

The Plaza Theater is a former movie theater that's been converted to a space for live shows. They rent out to a number of different groups. Check out shows from the Company of Rowlett Performers, or CORP (full disclosure, I just performed in one of their shows!) It's a great space to see a show. The acoustics are good, and the movie-theater style seats are comfortable and wider than many theater seats. There's no designated parking lot, but there's usually plenty of free street parking around the theater in the downtown Garland square. From the acting/backstage side: there's not a ton of space in the wings, and only a very small dressing room, since it was built as a movie theater originally. But it's otherwise a great theater space, and you can make it work for any show!

It was ok. We didn't really laugh that much. It was like watching Saturday Night Live. We noticed this business is liberal owned/operated as we saw them overly enforcing mask wearing over the nose. I was impressed with the actors and their fat costume changing. We prolly won't be back. No alcohol served.
