The location has been recently remodeled and looks fantastic! So much more seating and the registers and counters are set up to be way more efficient. It was very busy and I usually never stay to eat but there was so much open seating that it was actually very welcoming to take a seat and enjoy my breakfast there. Bakery/panaderia is still the best in Texas!

Heart conchas are $2.50 each a little pricey but did have a good flavor and soft. Walk in picking all types of sweet bread our told was like $60. Valentine cookies are delicious.

Recently came in for some bread and was amazed with the remodel. They have separate lines for the bread orders and food orders. Service is fast and friendly and bakery is very clean.

The influx of immigrants from Central America has graced us with El Salvadorian, Honduran and Guatemalan restaurants. This delightful eatery is, obviously, one of the latter.Service is cafeteria style and none of the servers in the line the morning I was there spoke English. That wasn't an issue as I could order pollo en mole y dos tamales in my awful Spanish. The problem when she asked "here or to go". Thankfully a guy in line next to me helped me out.The chicken was tender and mole sweet, spicy and delicious. The black beans were savory and the rice was fluffy. The tamales were a Guatemalan version and they were fantastic. I can't recall the cost of my giant horchata, but it was reasonably priced and paired well with my meal.Seating is spartan, but this not a place you to dine. This is a place you go to eat delicious food at a reasonable price. There is a on the left side as you enter with the bakery and various items like Guatemalan soda and snacks.I think I was the only non-Hispanic in there and that is wrong. More, different people should be enjoying this food.

If you plan on visiting this business, save yourself some time and choose another bakery. Not sure why the hours show this place is open until 8:30pm from Monday-Saturday. I stopped by around 7:50pm and to my surprise it was closed. The lights were on everything was still on the trays, and I could still see the employees looking at me but seemed to be picking everything up. Kinda disappointing.

Closest thing here in Texas that I've had to my moms authentic Guatemalan cooking. It was pretty good! I'm impressed! I will definitely be going back!

Google says they close at 9pm so we rush to get here. At 8:15 pm they were closed a lot of people waiting outside. They still had people dining. Employee didn't bother to say they had to closing early or at least update the hours at the door. Just disappointed.
