I have been a customer of No1 on Lombardy for many years and it is my favorite Mexican street tacos. I decided to try No 2 as it is very close to home. It did not disappoint as the tacos were equally as good. However, they do not have tinga which is a favorite at No1. I had pollo, fajita and barbacoa and all were as good as No1, the barbacoa was better. The salsas were spot on too. As were the grilled onions that most places don't offer.Service was friendly and efficient. At this location you pay at the register, which is different than No1 where you pay the server. Not a problem! The location looks like many other typical taquerias on the outside, painted a very vibrant blue, which is out of place for the neighborhood in my opinion, but it's their restaurant to do as they wish and if not passes code then good for them. Inside however is a different story. It is very new, nice and CLEAN. Very clean. I am super appreciative of this as most taquerias just look nasty, like the lunch rush hour just was over and every table is dirty and greasy. Not here! Spotless!

Paisanos Taqueria #2 just opened about 3 weeks ago. It was very authentic. All of the customers besides us appeared to be Mexican and our waitress only spoke Spanish. Many of the menu items did not have an English translation but we didn't have any problems ordering though as we knew enough Spanish to get by - the adventure is part of the charm. And there's always google translate if you really need it.I had the barbacoa, pastor, and lengua. The barbacoa was moist and flavorful - as good as I've tried anywhere. The pastor was well-seasoned but not as good as the barbacoa. The lengua was my least favorite of the 3 and wasn't quite as good as my favorite taco spots. The menu didn't have any prices listed but the taco de Lengua was $3.23 and the others all seemed to be $2.39. The prices were about 15% higher than I had expected considering the location. The dining area isn't fancy but it was clean with lots of natural light and new furniture.

Really good service and food to die for. The red salsa had good flavor and enough spice to give me the hiccups. Super clean environment, pleasantly surprised with the whole visit.

We had been to the paisanos in Dallas that is always busy and hard to park at. So we were super excited this one was opening near us in Plano. We absolutely loved the warm salsa. However, I don't remember it being so very spicy as this location. I can't eat it any more and the other sad thing is they don't have a mild version for kids. My gkids who I told would be able to get their fave food, chips and salsa, could not because of the excessive spice. Very disappointing. I'm not planning to return due to those limited options.
