We came with a couple people and had a phenomenal night! April was the instructor and made sure to take her time. April and the other staff walked around and assisted as needed and made sure everyone had fun as well! I can't wait to go back!

I am definitely a regular at painting with a twist. I absolutely love the Rockwall location. They always treat us like family when we are there. James Tigh is the best instructor in my opinion. He always makes the class fun, is helpful, and he's got a rockin playlist to listen to while you're enjoying time with family, friends, by yourself etc. Great place to have a party, just unwind for a couple of hours, And they have so many paintings to choose from! Love, love, love this place.

Wow! Who knew that this could be so therapeutic! I signed my son up for this and he enjoyed every minute. I was thinking I would find something for him to do but I ended up getting lost in my own painting. When I got home, I instantly looked up more times to paint. I loved this so much! I can't wait to go back. The instructor was very attentive and kind. She also didn't put any pressure on us. I added a little extra and so did my son and she definitely encouraged us to keep being creative. We weren't near anyone else so it was spaced out nicely. Such a nice activity to do! I'll be back!

We've been to several different locations and this has been the worst experience so far. Idk if our instructor was new or tired or what but it was hard to follow this person.. they went to fast, stood in the way and never checked on us/our paintings. We also had ordered a paint at home kit a week ahead of time and it wasn't ready when we got there. By the end of class they gave us the outline and it wasn't even finished.... They were like " You can draw the rest by yourself right?" Um.. no lol.

We had an awesome time celebrating our friend's birthday. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. He was also very helpful in making our painting look pretty decent. I highly recommend the Rockwall location! Their staff rocks!! We were able to book a semi private party on a Sunday. We had a group of three join us. By the end of the session, you would have thought that we were all together. We ordered pizza from Mr Getti's next door which was very delicious. This was one party that we won't forget.

I have a confession to make: I don't have an artistic bone in my body. The good news is you don't have to be artistic to have a blast at Painting With a Twist and you end up with a masterpiece to take home! Ok, masterpiece is relative...but still.I've been to several locations of Painting With a Twist - and a couple of competitors - and I've had the most fun at this location with Bree teaching. We gathered a group of friends, 4 couples in all, and had a great evening. Bree kept the class moving at a manageable pace and recreated a couple of parts of the painting that many people were struggling with on the back of her canvas so she could explain in more depth. (that twisty tree was hard, yo) With around 50 people, this was also the largest group I've ever been a part of but Bree and her helper (I've already forgotten her name) made sure every single person had as much help as they needed. We even took a quick break to play Pictionary while our paintings dried so we could paint the next layer. So fun! Here are a few tips:~Make sure you tell the person taking your reservation if you plan on sitting with other people. 2 of our couples forgot this step and were seated behind us (we got lucky on that placement in that we could still interact with them).~If you're drinking, bring a sippy cup. Not even kidding about this one. The work spaces are teeny tiny after the canvas, paint, brushes and water cup are distributed. Not only will a non-spill cup keep you from dipping your paintbrush into your hootch (this happens), it'll prevent accidental spills.~Wear clothes that won't hurt your feelings if they get paint spattered. You wear an apron to paint but that doesn't protect you from accidental brushing/slinging of paint by you and your neighbors. Acrylic paint washes off of skin, not so much off fabric.~Don't stress! This isn't an art class with a test at the end. You'll be super critical of your painting and worried about every little detail. Try to think of your painting as abstract - it shouldn't be perfect! The point is to have fun painting it.~Get up in various stages and walk around the room. Not only does it take your hyper focus off your painting, there are dozens of other viewpoints with nifty tricks you might want to use in your painting.Whether you're looking for a fresh date night idea, a night out with girlfriends or a creative birthday party (yes, they book private parties) Painting With a Twist is bound to be enjoyed by everyone.

I don't know who our instructor was but I did not enjoy myself at all. Maybe that's just my perspective but it's still a perspective. She went extremely fast at the beginning and didn't communicate very well. It was hard to hear her as she began while other people were getting checked in. She barely greeted us when we got there and when she finally settled in to "teaching" she wasn't clear about when we would need to change out water, asking if we had questions, slowing down, just felt like we were being rushed the whole time. And when she wasn't "teaching" she was at the desk watching videos on her phone. Not really impressed with the quality of the class or the instructors. Didn't seem like they cared at all or wanted to be helpful. Horrible experience.

Last night me and 19 friends joined Painting with a twist in Rockwall with Bree as our instructor. We were having a gender reveal party and Bree was the only one who knew what it was. She played along perfectly. Also she is a very fun and laid back paint instructor. All of the employees were so cordial and made us feel at home and relaxed. We all had fun and left with "masterpieces."They gave us a table and allowed us to set up cake and punch and cookies and candy for the reveal. They went out of their way to assist in any way possible. Book your party or join in another one! Bree was great and Christine (who always answers the phone) was so easy to work with.
