Onesan Dim Sum & Sushi

Incredible experience! We pass by this place all the time and never stop! Well, last night we bit the proverbial apple and chose the restaurant for dinner! Honestly, the food tasted super fresh and had lots of flavor! Some of the winners from the night:- Negi Tuna (a special)- Geisha (riceless roll)- Shrimp & Lobster ShumaiWhile everything was delicious, the three items above were beyond! The Negi Tuna had Tuna Toro and that's one of my favorite cuts of the fish; it also had sesame seeds and brown rice which all added to the buttery flavor! Generally, I'm a roll WITH RICE kind of gal; however, the Geisha blew me out of the water! So fresh and refreshing! Not a single off putting fish-y flavor. Then, the Shrimp & Lobster Shumai was filled with meat and the dough had that special homemade consistency!You really can't go wrong with anything we ordered...the only thing the group decided we would not order again is the Big Sister (which is unfortunate because I am a big sister). When I read it on the menu, I did not want it, but the people I was with thought it sounded yummy. All in all it was an incredible experience! We did not have to wait more than 2 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. The service was speedy and Bishop did a great job balancing all his tables and our three rounds of food. The ambiance from the outside might seem a bit clubby (the boys said at least three times it looked closed), but on the inside it was lovely! Also, they really enjoyed the decor and hand soap in the men's restroom!

The restaurant is somewhat spacious and loved the outdoor sitting area. For food, we ordered the Onesan Sashimi, Ocean's Eleven Roll, Shrimp and Lobster Shumai, and Crispy Korean Fried Chicken. I did not like any of the food... First, the Onesan Sashimi had a super strong yuzu soy taste that I can barely taste the yellowtail itself, Ocean's Eleven Roll was tiny and sauce was super acidic and did not taste like spicy ponzu sauce but more like cho gochujang, Shrimp and Lobster Shumai was dry and personally to me, I did not like the combo with the lobster uni curry, and lastly the Crispy Korean Fried Chicken tasted so-so. But what threw me off was that it was under the "dim-sum" category but why would they do that if it's not really dimsum.. Our server was good so that was probably the only satisfaction of this visit.

I wish I could remember the type of rolls we got because I want those every single time! We walked in 30 min before closing and were hesitant that we wouldn't get the best service but set at the bar and the bartender was amazing! We took his dinner recommendations and wine suggestions and everything was DELICIOUS!!!!!Worth the 20 min drive!

I'll give this place a solid 3 stars. I didn't take pictures of everything but the lo mein was really good! I was disappointed by the soup dumplings and the spring rolls were just okay, nothing to write home about. We came here after passing it to go to another restaurant but the service and environment were solid. I would go back for the Lo mein and to try some other menu items.

One of my favorite happy hour spots in the city - the HH menu offers so much goodness, including dumplings, Brussel sprouts, shrimp and more. Service is fairly quick and friendly. Sushi here is good; the yellowtail sashimi appetizer might be my favorite. Wish I lived closer to visit more often!

I came here with my family for a special occasion celebration. We arrived early for our reservation but they had no trouble seating us. The atmosphere is fun and modern with a great outdoor patio. We ordered an array of dishes and loved every one! The mushroom dumplings were a stand-out favorite. The curry chicken dumplings were also a hit. We loved the drunken noodles. The sushi was fresh and delicious. There isn't a dish we ordered that we wouldn't order again. So good!

The single best Asian restaurant in Dallas, period. The chefs come from Nobu and put their own spin on Asian fusion cuisine. Their DimSum is beyond compare and the Shanghai Noodles are unlike any udon noodles you will ever have. But the stand out is their fresh nigiri and sashimi. Finally once a month they have an exclusive Chef menu/tasting that is one of the most unique dining experiences you will have.

A little disappointed by this place! The service was good, but the quality for the price was not worth it in our opinion. The salmon on the salmon heaven roll was noticeably fishy, and as the cheapest roll at $18 we were a little bummed. The big sister roll was delicious and refreshing, but not worth $21 on its own. I will say the yellow curry chicken dumplings were delish and super unique, I would come back during happy hour to grab those and some of the simpler rolls for a better price.

4.5 First off the service is top tier. Duy took care of us. He was so nice and attentive. We tried a lot since it was our first visit. We got both the lobster and pork belly fried rice. They had more egg than expected, but I liked that. They were really flavorful and delicious. I got spicy wonton and boy did they have a kick, yet still good. We weren't a fan of the Monkey balls and I found their hamachi nigiri to be bland also. Those glazed ribs were scrumptious. The curry chicken dumplings and katana boat was good. My daughter got an eel avocado roll that she also really liked. It's small, but nice inside. Very modern decorThe drinks are good too. My husband got some whiskey drink that was really yummy. Mine was too, but I forget the name of it. We got all of that for $205. We had leftovers

Food was absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. The ambiance was calm and elegant a very pleasant atmosphere and vibe. Service was impeccable
