Service: 10/10Ambiance: 9/10Packaging: 10/10Food: 8.5/10When I walked into the restaurant to pick up my order as was greeted at the hostess booth with a smile.I was told my order had just come up and they had pulled it from the prep station. My bag was sealed appropriately. I paid and I left. I ordered the Peking duck that came with two pancakes chives and some type of duck sauce. The restaurant was about a 7 to 10-minute drive from my home and upon arriving home from the restaurant, my food was still fairly warm close to hot. Again has mentioned my order was packaged very well. my to-go bag was packed with plasticware, soy sauce, and napkins. My bag was stapled shut and had my name written on it with a fine black Sharpie. The duck was moist with more of a roasted flavor and finish. The duck sauce was kind of overpowering, so you had to use it sparingly. The cakes were absolutely delicious. The pairing of the duck, sauce, and chives wrapped inside of the cakes was phenomenal. The reason why I gave the food a 8.5 out of 10 is because for Peking duck, this was more of a roasted duck and not Peking - in my opinion. Which is more of a crispy outside.Overall, this is a great experience and I could see myself returning if I'm craving duck again.

Maybe my bar was set too high since there are plenty examples in the DFW area alone where it's difficult to duplicate the original. I found this to be the case with Oishii. The "goods":- service was attentive and nice- atmosphere (visual) was great- parking MUCH easier than the Wycliff location The "bads":- a lot more screaming kids with parents talking (way too loud) baby talk while walking their kids all around the dining area - it IS Grapevine and unfortunately we were seated in a side "party room" with two large groups including many kids / babies :(- spring rolls: Unmemorable. I've had better at most "hole in wall" (cheap) Vietnamese places - hot and sour: personal preference not to my liking. A bit too "savory" and greasy tasting - Sizzling Crispy Shrimp, Scallops & Whitefish: given that they only had three "signature dishes" you'd think you can't go wrong. While it WAS "sizzling", it was far from "crispy". The breading that pretty much fell off the pieces of seafood onto the not great tasting "goo" sauce was a pile of mush. It's not often I leave a place wishing I had gone somewhere else and/or ordered something else. Unfortunately this was one of those rare times.

How fantastic food can get ruined at the pass... Five star food, 2 star service from the kitchen.BEST sushi I have ever had locally or internationally. The Caesar roll is fantastic. Scallop roll was very good. Sashimi was good. Sweet and sour soup was among the best we have ever had. BUT - with six people working the sushi line, and several people in the hot kitchen, and TWO managers hiding at the pass...and only 6 tables seated early on a Saturday night (it was full when we left at 6:30) the delay in receiving food was among the longest we have ever experience. There were three in our party, two ordered sushi one ordered broccoli chicken. The waiter said the food would be out in about 10 minutes. I have never had a waiter quote delivery times - odd. The rolls arrived in 15 minutes. The broccoli chicken arrived in 25 minutes - after the rolls had already been finished. When the chicken arrived, it was loaded with garlic (not mentioned on the menu) - the waiter offered to have it remade and assured us it would be fast. 15 minutes later (45 minutes total now since the original order) the food arrived. Apparently, with no garlic sauce, they had no idea how to season the chicken. It was basically bland boiled chicken and vegetables beautifully presented. So we took a to-go box and left.At this point, both managers were standing in the foyer. There was no " How was your meal?" No " Thank you for coming." There was no awareness whatsoever that food had been sent back and that a party had spent 45 minutes of their 1 hour in the restaurant waiting for food.Like I said, it was the best sushi I've ever had, but the experience totally ruined it. Clearly, the managers' spending all their time in the kitchen indicates they know where the problem is, but this location has been open for a year--they should have it right by now. P.S. Canned Diet Coke in a place where a simple dinner for 3 without alcohol or desert is $100? Blue Fish is only 10 minutes down the road in Irving...

Came back here for for my 13-year-old's birthday. Made reservations on OpenTable and they quickly seated us. I mentioned to the hostess that it is my son's birthday and if they do anything special and she said no and that she's sorry. I completely understood. It's a huge place. Our dinner was delicious. Waitress was very busy as she was also behind the bar making drinks. Manager was very attentive. Staff was very quick and attentive about clearing the table. They have happy hour until 6:30 PM. So saved a few dollars on appetizers and drinks. At the end of dinner waitress was apologetic for being busy but was very sweet. I mentioned that it's my son's birthday so even after the check was paid she said wait a few minutes and surprised him with mochi ice cream, which was so kind and made my son's day.

Amazing food and ambiance. The wait staff are nice and service is fairly quick. Can get a little slow when it's packed, which it does get packed dinner time.Highly recommend this place.

Wanted to get a night out before the big snow event, and Oishii was recommended to us that same day. We both had a hankering for sushi and quickly made an open table reservation. Probably wasn't needed but by the time we left the place was pretty full. Cassy our server was friendly and fast. We enjoyed some happy hour rolls even though we were sitting in the dining room. (The bar was packed with happy hour people). The Royce roll was flavorful and riceless, which I enjoy. Spacious dining room and attentive servers.

We love the amazing sushi and Asian-inspired dishes at Oishii. The Salmon Carpaccio is maybe the freshest and best tasting sushi dish I've ever had. Like taking bites of pure sunshine and happiness. The orange chicken was certainly not like that panda place at all. Crispy, spicy, and just flat out amazing. The bar staff and ambiance are among the best in Grapevine. We highly recommend!!

Got a lot of sashimi which was a mistake. The Nigiri wasn't something to ring home about either. We got two rolls, the main street roll and DOA roll. My spice fanaticism made me gravitate towards DOA, however, having had it now, I definitely wouldn't have it again. The roll lacked texture and depth. Main Street on the other hand: fantastic. Would have it again. If this was my first time having raw sushi, specifically sashimi/nigiri, It would undeniably be my last. I'd focus on getting other items here. What I'd recommend:- Beef tataki(Appetizer)- Main Street rollHere's what we got:Sashimi:- Flounder- Mackerel- Yellowtail - usually our favorite, but even this didn't live up to our expectations. Nigiri:- Escolar - Tuna Albacore Rolls:- DOA- Main StreetAppetizers:- Salmon Carpaccio- Beef Tataki - pretty good Our server was kind. Unfortunately, he didn't know much about which sushi was which, so he had to get another server to help identify each piece of fish. Ambience: The place was packed because Tuesday happens to be half priced wine day.Price: our bill was around $155. Pretty steep, given we didn't enjoy a majority of the items we ordered.

Oishii Sushi & Pan Asian restaurant has opened in Grapevine, TX. This is the 4th location of the very popular restaurant that began off Wycliff. While known for its sushi, you can also get some fantastic Vietnamese dishes too. This review focuses on the new location in Grapevine and the sushi rolls. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - On my two visits to Oishii, both visits were busy. One visit (no reservations) had a short 10 minute wait while the other had no wait thanks to reservations made on OpenTable. The restaurant buzzes with suburban patrons and Oishii's superb staff working at a fast pace. There's a long sushi bar in the back with many on first (or second?) dates. 1 Star.Service - We had the same server, Sean/Shawn, on our visit. On our first visit, he suggested some rolls to try because the menu can be intimidating. Everything he recommended was great and he checked in several times without being over bearing. But I want to call out the entire Oishii staff. They all work together, supporting each other. Multiple people came to bring out our dishes, clear plates, fill our drinks, etc. 1 Star.Food - I'm only going to focus on two rolls. If you visit Oishii, order at least one of these. First, the Himalayan Roll is a riceless roll that is served on a one inch thick sheet of salt. The cucumber wraps around generous portions of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. The longer the rolls sit on the salt, the more salt the cucumber absorbs. It's a stunning dish, and everyone around you will ask their server "what's that roll?". If you're a fan of truffle, order the Tribeca roll. This roll is special because it comes with a small amount of truffle oil and the rolls look like little triangle sandwiches better served with tea instead of soy sauce. I ordered both rolls on both visits. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. This is the 4th location. The only difference between each location are the patrons (suburbia/uptown/SMU). But I'll be back because Oishii also has a large Pan Asian menu included some legit Vietnamese dishes that I hope to try. 1 Star.
