No. 1 Plus Chicken - Carrollton

So so good guys! I can't put into words how good it was. Super crispy. So flavorful. Just the right amount of spice (we got mild and that was spicy enough for me). Since it was our first time, we tried the platter where you get a little bit of diff flavors. Will definitely be back to try more Space is small and there's a long table in the middle that people share. We went on a random Tuesday night or Wednesday night and it was packed. No waiting space, really, so you have to wait outside. Since it was fully packed, service was a little bit slower, but the people were nice and attentive.

The food itself was pretty standard for a Korean restaurant/pocha in Carrollton. The rose tteokbokki was really soft and chewy, and the sauce itself was pretty good. We got curly fries that were average, but we destroyed them since we were so hungry. The highballs were surprisingly good. Passion fruit was definitely the best flavor, which is one I don't normally go for. I think our least favorite flavor was the watermelon since it wasn't strong in taste. Beers were as expected. Service was normal. The place wasn't very busy when our large party of 10+ people came, so they didn't seem overwhelmed at all. The place was decently clean and the bathroom was normal. Overall, an ok place for the price.

This restaurant has such a cute and unique interior and I love how the restaurant is moderate size yet they made it spacious. We ordered the half and half (yangyum&honey garlic) and green onion chicken. The half and half chicken were super crispy and green onion chicken had one of the best marinated green onion I've ever had. To top it off, the service was great too! The servers came by in rounds to ask if we needed anything. This is definitely a good hang out place with friends!

Place a little small, but accommodated my large party of 11. Everything came out fresh, hot and crispy! That's what we all come for is the crispy chicken! Everything was flavorful and came out in a fair amount of time with a full house. Nice vibe with good music.

Solid chicken place. Their tteokbokki is fire as well. I asked for gloves to eat the chicken with and honestly it just made the experience so much better. Nothing beats eating chicken with your hands but still feeling clean. They also have tanghulu! I got the strawberry tanghulu but I believe they also have orange, grape, and a mix. Only sad thing is there aren't many tables so try not coming during the rush hours.

I love this place. First of all, it's one of the few places in town that fries their chicken without eggs or dairy, which is incredibly rare. I have allergies to both and mostly could enjoy a treat like this at home once or twice a year.That aside, the spicy fried chicken has a great flavor, especially with the sesame soy glaze. The fried rice cakes are an addictive addition particularly with any of our favorite chicken sauces. The frozen fruit desserts are like nothing I've tasted before. They look like regular skewered fruit, but the frozen glaze adds a crispy dimension that is so satisfying. My kids were absolutely hooked.The restaurant itself is casual, but very cute. I asked the spouse to get me one of their T-shirts for Christmas!

We usually have to drive to one of the other locations but thankfully now we have one closer to home! Food here is always solid and service is great. This new location is a little bit brighter than the other two but seems smaller. We came a little bit later at night so it was quiet but staff was super friendly and tentative. Excellent place for Korean fried chicken - crispy yet not greasy. The platter comes with all their flavors so I recommend getting this if you are here for the first time. My favorite flavors were the soy and yangyum. Make sure to ask for radish as it pairs extremely well and helps cut the richness of the chicken. Be aware that the platter is a whole chicken, not just the wings. Another great option is the green onion chicken. Fried boneless nuggets are topped with a slaw of green onions and the topping itself is quite addictive! The curly fries were also very good and comes in a huge portion of fried crispy goodness.

This place does the job. We ordered the platter with the 4 flavors. The chicken was kinda cold & not very crispy. The sauce didn't stick to the chicken either & we went around lunch time when they weren't very busy.

date visited: 09.13.2024ordered: soy garlic wings quantity was good but the sauce was so thick and gritty that it made the wings soggy. the batter was also too wet in my opinion, but the quantity is decent for the price.service took forever even though we were one of the only groups seated. radish cost extra and also the kimchi banchan was watery and a bit bland. their dry wings (the yangyum in particular) looked a lot better. fries were fine. would go somewhere else esp if you're in the carrollton area!
