In a peaceful area of downtown Dallas. The sculptures are very interesting with some having a lot of information on them and others not. A docent talked with us about one of the sculptures which was extremely interesting and when we went back with more questions he was happy to answer them. I wish we'd had more time to stroll. Restrooms could use better signage. We walked about 2 blocks to the park on the overpass with about 15 food trucks. Very nice. Want to go again!

Nasher Scuplture Center reminds me of what a minimalist museum would look like. There is an upstairs and downstairs with a couple art installations and a small collection of world class art pieces to view. Downstairs they have a room where they have an informational documentary that shares the history of Nasher Sculpture Center. The documentary was insightful and highlighted the value Nasher Sculpture Center brings to the art scene in Dallas. They have a small garden with statues, art pieces, a pond and places to sit. The garden was serene and I liked exploring the area. The staff were friendly and shared information about Nasher Sculpture Center. If you were in the area, I would recommend stopping by, however I wouldn't recommend driving here just for the center/garden. The exploration of the center and garden will take less than an hour, including if you watch the documentary. I recommend checking on Groupon for a good deal on admission prices.

This was a wonderful small sculpture museum. It reminds me of one of the museums I visited in NYC before. Nasher Sculpture Center has a beautiful garden. When I visited, some parts of the gallery were closed for installation. I visited on the first Saturday of the month which is free admission! Overall, it was a nice peaceful sculpture center with famous sculptors you may recognize as you go through the museum. Staffs were friendly and knowledgeable. They were willing to guide and provide information as needed.

The Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, Texas is a definite must-see when visiting downtown Dallas. We enjoyed all the different exhibits and the outdoor sculpture garden was more exceptional than I expected.I'm not sure about the parking. I did Uber to the location. The price of entry was reasonable at about $10. The gallery and exhibits were set up very nicely and the sculpture garden was incredibly peaceful. I came with a friend and we spent much more time at the center than we had originally planned. All the employees were very nice except two or three who came across as rude when talking with us. They were setting up for an event in the garden so I'm sure things get a little more stressful during these times. Still, I feel that they should be aware that as gallery representatives the way they interact with guests directly impacts the overall guest experience. Those people could benefit from changing their tone and word selection when talking to guests. SHOUT OUT for EXCELLENCE: One employee, Liz in the banquets area, was exceptional and went the extra mile for us to get us glasses of water when the cafeteria was closed. It was a very, hot day and we are forever grateful for her hospitality.I would definitely return to the Center when visiting Dallas.

What a sophisticated, world-class museum and such a smart use of its space. The Dallas Museum of Art across the street could take lessons in space management from the Nasher. Its architect, Renzo Piano, has given us over a dozen incredible museums and this one is soothing and seemingly far removed from the busy city outside its walls. The permanent exhibit resides in the placid garden, complete with gorgeous weeping willow trees. Land Art has always been dominated by men, and the Nasher did a seemingly impossible job of showcasing the Land Art of 12 American women in two main rooms and a wee bit of outdoor space. I learned so many interesting things! For example:Patricia Johanson was invited to design a garden for House & Garden magazine in 1969 and rather than providing designs for the Minimalist-inspired garden the magazine expected, Johanson erupted in creativity, creating no fewer than 150 different proposals for visionary gardens. I love that. I used to live in Manhattan in the early 80s and didn't know why there were acres of wheat growing on Battery Park. Hungarian Agnes Denes had planted them in a landfill, juxtaposing them from the Twin Towers and the Statue of Liberty. At the close of the months-long installation, Denes sent the harvest of over 1,000 pounds of wheat to 28 cities around the world as part of The International Art Show for the End of World Hunger.

Amazing sculpture center. They have a lot of wonderful exhibits. The Sarah Sze portion was breathtaking, and they are currently showcasing the Haas brother's work. They also have staff who help explain the artwork. One of my favorite spots to go to.

Beautiful museum. Free for first responders plus one. Peaceful and a nice way to spend time for 1-2 hours. Would recommend stopping at the park right around the corner for lunch when there are many food trucks. Not great for very young kids. Lots to touch at lower levels.

Interesting place to spend 30-45 minutes if you're in Dallas. If you didn't get enough at the Dallas Art Museum, the Nasher is right next door if you're wanting more art. The center itself isn't too big, you'll probably just need 10-15 minutes to look around and enjoying the air conditioning. The outside sculpture garden is filled with the weird and zany modern and contemporary art sculptures.
