Moodaepo Korean BBQ

We tried this Korean barbecue place on Saturday evening. We made a reservation a week in advance for 7:00 PM, but when we arrived at 6:45, there was already a line ahead of us. It seemed like reservations didn't really matter, as walk-ins were seated before us. Fortunately, the wait wasn't too long--about 15 minutes--because they opened a second dining area.The restaurant was packed, and service was a bit inconsistent. Our first round of meat was delivered by a robot, but by the time we placed our second order, staff members brought it to our table because the robot was busy elsewhere.The meat itself was well-seasoned and delicious, but a few things left us wanting more. There were no side dishes provided initially--we had to request them. We also expected clam soup to come with our meal, but it never arrived, and no dessert was offered after we finished, though we were pretty full by then.We opted for the $29.99 BBQ option, which was decent, but considering other places offer Korean BBQ and hot pot for a similar price, I'm not sure it stood out. The ramen bar was limited to only Jin Ramen (spicy and non-spicy) with minimal toppings.Overall, the meat was flavorful, but the service and extras side dishes could use some improvement. The restaurant open late which is good.

Lots of selection and customer service can vary, for example, not that great today. Although it wasn't that busy, service was a bit slow all round until the new set of servers/bussers showed up then it was a bit better. The food is pretty good, HOWEVER, there is one reason I can't see myself going back. It's so dang expensive. $40 per person for dinner and $20 for kids 5 to 9.That's a bit insane. If the price was $10 for kids and maybe $33-35 for adults, it'd be better. Other than that, definitely a fancy and cool looking place that I'd recommend visiting at least once.

There was plenty of space inside so we didn't have to wait. We got beef brisket, beef belly, and beef tongue. The beef belly was our favorite. I also liked the short rib. The steamed egg was alright, but not super puffy. I wish I could pour soy sauce on it. The kpop chicken was very ok, I would not get that again. The grill was very hot, which made everything easy to cook. Service was slow because there aren't that many waiters.

A solid place for AYCE kbbq in the area! There are a few different tiers you can select when eating here, but our group opted for the highest ($39pp) one, as this is the one that has unlimited short rib/kalbi cutsThis is tucked in a plaza farther away from the HMart/Ranch 99 madness (tealatte/mochinut/golden spoon plaza/aldi plaza) and has a LOT of parking available.Service was decent and the cuts of meat come out nice and quick. Soju was ~$14 a bottle and they had a ramen bar that we didn't try for $5 (?) a personOverall a solid, casual spot if you're in the mood for all you can eat korean bbq and are looking for great cuts of meat. This place can seat a LOT of people and was fairly empty when we went on a weekday evening.

Awesome service and great portions! Normally it takes about 8-9 rounds to fill me up. Not here, the portions were so big that i was done by round 4. We came a bit late but that didn't affect the quality or the service. I will definitely be coming back. Plus the location is so cute! There are games to play and other things to do before and after eating.

Do not go here... huge sanitary and food safety issues!! The whole party got food poisoning after eating here. They pre set all the side dishes on a tray and who knows how long that's been sitting out before it got served to you. It's so unsanitary how they fill the water jugs. There are containers filled with water and ice sitting out, and they leave the pitcher inside the container. Also, their serving robots almost hit me multiple times.

We went there to celebrate my sister's 50th and the server did nothing special to celebrate her big day. No song, no dessert, nothing. He did give himself a big tip that was 23% on top of the total and tax. I was shocked that he gave himself over 20% when the service was SLOW and they did nothing after me telling him it was a birthday celebration. The floor was sloppy as well and my oldest had to hold me just incase I slip. The cook area could use more lighting since it was dark in the area that you were cooking. I would not recommend going there nor would we go back. For a bill that's over $235, you would think the food and service should somewhat decent but it was nowhere near. Over all it was a disappointing experience.

Alrighty! They have redeemed themselves! I was a little worried cause it was a Saturday night but it's like night and day since the last time we came. This time we were seated in the main dining area. Service was great. There's a call button if needed now. We got our food in a very timely manner. The galbi was my favorite. The sauces were normal this time. Salt and oil, etc. They changed the grill several times and cleaned up the excess plates. The robot worked this time to deliver some of our meats although I notice the workers frustration when the robot is in their way lol. We can safely keep this on the list of places. Ambiance is casual and relaxed.

My go to place for AYCE Korean BBQ. It has a fun hectic vibe and can definitely be loud with k pop and the crowd, so it may not be the best choice for people who are wanting to have meaningful conversations over food. There's usually a wait on the weekends but it's not as long compared to Gens, and no wait during the week usually. You can pick whether you want regular choice of AYCE or premium with more options. I find the things I like in regular options anyway, so that's what I always go for. I have seen some tables order a la carte meats as well they have Japanese A5 Kobe and some other premium meats, and they looked great! One of the better steamed eggs and kimchi/soybean stew for AYCE restaurant. All of the various meats we've tried have been excellent, and my favorite is their beef tongue. I have noticed they tend to serve way more servings of meat per order when you order marinated meats rather than non-marinated, so be mindful when ordering. One of the fun charms of this place is their well known ramen stations. You walk up to the ramen wall and pull out a ramen of your choice, and make your own ramen using the machine and the topping bar. Super fun concept and a must experience for a carb top off after consuming meat. Moodaepo also has fun cocktail menus such as their watermelon soju. Definitely a haven for good korean bbq and drinking! I think this is the best option for Korean BBQ in terms of atmosphere, value, service, and fun.

While the food at Moodaepo was so delicious, some of the best KBBQ I've had, the service was really a let down. They weren't very attentive and would forget to bring things we'd ordered. I loved the individual corn cheese, and the short ribs. I can't say whether I'd come back because of the service, but the food was really good.
