Unfortunately, it appears this business has ceased operations. I attempted to contact them via phone, but the number was incorrect. Additionally, their website is no longer functional.

Momo's has the best dumplings I've ever had. They operate as a pop up at Trinity Cider and I first tried them before the COVID pandemic... the pork dumplings were phenomenal and I was craving them horribly until I found out the best possible news... Momo's has been preparing dumplings for you to steam at home during the pandemic! For a mere $12 you can have a full 10 dumplings! They are surprisingly easy to prepare and come with a small cup of sauce that ended up being plenty enough for all the dumplings (and I usually drench all my food in sauce). Usually I can find a way to ruin even the easiest of dishes with my lack of cooking skills, but these ended up tasting incredible even when cooked by my novice self. Just make sure you keep them very cold because otherwise the texture will change.

The dumplings are amazing. They were at the Asian festival in Plano, TX. I was so very happy about that. I would never have thought to look for a dumpling place in downtown Dallas. The veggie dumpling is spectacular. Also, the recommended sauces make an already delicious dumpling even better. I hope they show up for more Asian festivals. They were the highlight of the entire event. I will actual need to drive my butt all the way downtown for some. They also have chicken dumplings and pork dumplings. The people that got them said they were amazing. So go get some for yourself. By the way, cute guy(s) alert. Every single one of the guys working the Momo Shack stand at the festival was cute. Each one in there own special way. Kind of like BTS.

As I as strolling through the farmers market, I was jonzing for something delicious but I was facing decision fatigue. Tamale's, BBQ, jerky, chicken wings, fruits, cheese, [you get the point], it's all delicious! Then I stumble upon a familiar sight. Momo's!A delicious dumpling, a popular street food in most metropolitan Indian cities, is now available at the Dallas Farmers market.Simple menu: three options [vegetarian, chicken and pork]. But what really takes the momo's to the next level and sets it apart from other dumplings is the sauce: two flavors [spicy tomato and a mild cilantro chutney]. All combinations and permutations are delicious. Steamed fresh, they do it live. Rating: 4.5/5 because I would have preferred spicier tomato sauce, similar to Delhi [humble brag, I've eaten momo's in India]. but I understand most people can't hang.

Momo Shack is definitely one of the coolest and more unique additions to the already diverse group of options at the Dallas Farmers Market!Although growing up in a South Asian household, I had not heard too much about the Momo dumpling besides that they are a very popular street food in Nepal, Tibet and Northern India. Seeing Momo Shack's well-promoted ads plastered all over social media by several of my friends, I decided to venture out to the market strictly out of curiosity. I had eaten many dumplings from all over the world before (China's Bao, Japan's Gyoza, Europe's Pierogi and Ravioli), and knew I really enjoyed all of them but was interested in what separated Momo dumplings from all those other great variations.Arriving at the shack, they had an amazing assembly line of workers: a few awesome guys working the register/tablet, a very vocal girl attracting potential business and handing out samples, and several hard working ladies preparing and steaming the momos in the back. Everyone seemed very organized, upbeat and passionate about their new business. They were also one of the only stands at the outside market with consistent buzz and movement; lines formed instantly and customers seemed very interested to sample and potentially buy the dumplings.Their options were simple and to the point. 3 types of momos with 3 dumpling or 6 dumpling size options: Veggie, Chicken, and Pork. 2 types of sauces: A tomato-based spicier sauce and cilantro style green chutney. Since I am currently trying an all plant-based diet, I opted for the 6 of veggie and a mix of the sauces. My order was taken quickly and my momos were prepared in a short 1-2 minutes, which is a fantastic serving time for made to order food. The Veggie momos were very flavorful, stuffed with a myriad of carrots, onions, and cabbage. What sets these dumplings apart from their East Asian counterparts are definitely the Indian spices in the SAUCES and the South Asian influence in that component of the Momo plate. The outer dumpling covering of water and flour dough makes it very similar visually to other Asian dumplings. As Nepal is kind of transition zone between South and East Asia, I can understand how both geographical areas have culturally and historically impacted Nepal with their individually exclusive cuisines. The taste here with these dumplings are phenomenal and bridge that Asian gap perfectly.I would definitely recommend these guys and make that pilgrimage to the Farmer's Market to try these delectable dumplings! It is definitely worth the trip!

Their name is so fun to say and their product is just as delicious, if not more. Growing up Chinese, I've had my fair share of dumplings of all kinds. I'm so glad to taste another part of Asia's take on the dumpling, and Momo shack has conveniently brought that straight to the heart of Dallas. Think your typical protein-filled dumpling/potsticker but with a different kind of flair. You can tell that each dumpling is hand-pinched with love and care and the sauces pair incredibly with them. You can see the amount of time and precision it takes to make each bite Instagram-worthy. You can get them steamed or fried (crunchy on the bottom...duh you should ask for this style of Momo!)The owners are passionate about their food and it's evident when you visit their humble stand. My favorite flavors in order: Pork then Veggie then Chicken; but all are delicious with THAT SAUCE. Pork is juicier, similar to a xiao long bao soup dumpling (but without the soup). The veggie's got alot of different ingredients in it that blend great together, so if you're usually opposed to vegetable-only things like me, this one's worth giving a shot! The chicken has flavor too, but I prefer the bite-feel of the pork more than the chicken. That orange tomato sauce goes great with everythingggg. Make sure to check them out at the dallas farmer's market on the weekends (check their instagram/the dallas farmer's market website schedule) and go early! Obviously these sell out quick! I literally bought 30 of them for myself, you guys, I'm not kidding. And how cool is it to be able to tell your friends that you've had a Himalayan dumpling (or 30)?

I'm Taiwanese so by default I love dumplings. First time trying Himalayan style and these are crazy good. All three flavors are delicious but the veggie ones are the absolute best. Trust me. Super nice guys too!

I secured two bags one weekend, one chicken and one pork, for me to cook at home. Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Momo Shack is currently operating as a pop-up spot currently doing online pre-orders and pick ups at Sno Tea in Plano and some other location in Dallas (sorry, I forgot which spot, haha). It was our first time having Himalayan dumplings so this was a real treat. They look like XLB dumplings at first, but the flavors are more complex and unique. They come frozen, and to cook them is very easy (check out their website/IG for the instructions). They also come with a small cup of orange sauce to dip the dumplings with (or you can drench them in the sauce, as I did). The sauce is key, and luckily they offer larger portions of it. As for pricing, it is $15 for 12 dumplings ($1.25 per dumpling); I wish it was a little lower because: 1 - they come frozen and I still need to cook it and 2. so I can make this a weekly purchase, haha. But I understand that each dumpling is carefully hand made by chef mama of this family owned business, which is definitely commendable.Overall, we enjoyed the dumplings and we are looking forward to enjoying more. Enjoy!
