Milo Butterfingers

I loved Milos before & love it even more with the recent renovations! They did an amazing job - kept the original charm and dive bar feel, while adjusting the layout and some decor details to have a cleaner, more updated feel. They extended the bar, added new half-circle booths, lounge seating throughout, and a large booth bench in the back by the pool tables. Much of the same, friendly staff still works there. Their drink specials are some of the best in town, and their food is better than ever. I got their fried chicken cobb salad - 10/10, I know I'm going to crave it. The new spinach/artichoke dip was also delicious (very similar to Chelsea Corner's). We got their margarita pitcher ($32 on happy hour) and it came out to about 6 margaritas in the pitcher. They also have 1/2 off wine on Thursdays, so a glass of Seaglass sauv blanc was only $4! Overall, Milos is even more of a go-to spot for me now. It can get crowded at night with SMU students, but there is still a decent mix of long-time patrons. (Tip: During school winter and summer breaks, it's a more chill vibe with less students).

Went the other day with my husband. The place is gloomy dusty and dingy feeling. The door guy seemed drunk himself, checking IDs. Ordered a drink and went to the booths to watch the game and enjoy conversation. The booths were worn and old. We finished up one drink and got another. We were half way finished and the drunk door guy was going around trying to take drinks from people. He stumbled over to us and said drink up or I'm taking them, very rude and aggressive. My husband asked what the problem was it's not even closing time, about 1:30. He calmed down and said the bartender made me. So we told him the bartender can come get the drinks she just poured us or she should have let us know before pouring we are going to have to down the drinks asap. Bartenders were rude nasty people. Thank you for the treatment. Will never step foot in this poop hole ever again.

Holy Glow Up Milo's! Did you go through a divorce and get all the money and get all the things done because damn girl you look GOOOOOOD, but you're still the same bad ass wholesome b*tch. The food is better, the smell is WAY better, the bar (OH THE BAR!), the back area, the pool table area is somehow greater, even the ceiling is better!!! And please spend some time looking at the pictures on the walls, they managed to keep the fun of Milo's and add some pop culture necessities (watch out for that next step, it's a doozy). For a timely staple in Dallas that needed a much needed facelift, I know we were all worried that this was going to be changed too much with the new owners but that is NOT what happened here, they put so much life back into it to keep it alive for more generations to enjoy what generations before have loved about it without losing the charm. Oh and the bathrooms!!!! Chef kiss!

Fun cheap dive bar. Four pool tables. No more buck hunter. Quesadillas are great. Christmas lights are fun. One darts board.

Fun place to have a few drinks and some apps. I got the Milo special pizza that was very flavorful. The patio is very clean and inviting as well. Highly recommend.

What a place. Upon entry you're greeted by a large room, littered with Christmas lights. Immaculate vibe. Just when you think, "man this place can't get any better" you look behind the bar and they have peroni on ice. At this point I'm already sold, but the beers only being $5 really knocked it out of the park. I don't know Milo, but I'd let him date my unborn daughter. Take notes, Stans

Fries were the best, new construction was nice, food better than expected. Thank you Milos for the experience and crispy fries.

Service has gone way down hill. Been going here for over 25 years. Went last night, got our initial drinks, food. Then was ignored while other tables got 2 rounds of drinks, food, over 30 minutes with no one coming to get our order. Will not go back.

New ownership as of December 2024 is OUT OF THEIR MIND. Who tf wants to pay $2 per game of pool? Are you high???? Renovations looks fine but we go there strictly for pool. Will be going to other bars where they don't nickel and dime for a simple game of billiards lol

One of the the best consistent experiences I've been too. Daily food specials to keep it interesting, consistent attentive service across the board. Throughout the course of a day have 3 or 4 different crowd types and cater to all of them excellent
