Wow! Wow! WOW!! Loves this place!! Service was fast and friendly! Food was amazing! I had the brisket tacos and LOVED every bite! They serve with a wonderful side salad and the dressing was so tasty!! The restaurant was clean and quiet but still busy!! They had true outdoor seating and and covered outdoor seating. The drinks were amazing and I've never been served a drink or food so quickly!! Mi Cocina is a MUST when in the Dallas area. They have several locations! You will leave satisfied and happy!

Came here for a yummy dinner! We love this location. The bar area is our favorite place to sit as we can watch sports while we dine! Service at this location can't be matched and they always get our order to absolute perfection every time. We never want for anything. Ambiance is great as well some they have the music at the best volume in my opinion. Just gives you a fun feel being here.

I'd never eaten here (this location)before and while I was waiting for a friend before grabbing a Cookie from Cookie Plug we both decided to enjoy Mexican Cuisine at Mi Cocina. The service was very quick, we had Chips, and Salsa within seconds of us sitting done. Then our server showed up like clockwork to take our order. This place is ran like a fine tuned machine. I was pleased with the Nacho choice we made (shredded chicken and Beef). Everything was delicious. Only I was disappointed with they didn't have an option for Happy Hour. 9/10

Average tex mex food. We each got 2 rounds of their margs on the rocks and frozen ($10 and $11 for flavored). The rocks version was solid but the frozen was more slushy/liquid. Not sure why but at that point I'd just order it on the rocks.I got the poblano chicken enchiladas ($14.95) and I asked for it to come with veggies and rice. It came back with beans and the waiter noticed it before me and was nice enough to go change it. However my enchiladas was ripped when it came back :( I think they just scooped it off, but the overall dish was decent! I think if it had a touch less sauce, less brittle enchiladas, and more flavor it'd be a lot better. I'd pass and opt for a better tex mex joint in Dallas.

Fun place to watch the Rangers vs Astro game with delicious food. Started with the guacamole, chips and queso dip. Perfect with the margarita and beers we were drinking. Then, hubby and I split the grilled portobello mushroom and onion fajita which came out sizzling and our friendly, attentive waiter, Javier, gave us extra assorted warmed tortillas (nice touch). Most tasty, although would have like a couple more mushrooms with the many, many onions. Our friend had Mama's chicken and cheese tacos which looked delicious and our friend agreed they were. We'll be back in the area early next year and look forward to returning here.

We had not been to the restaurant for years, maybe a decade. The last time we were here the experience was not so good. We decided to see if the restaurant had improved so we went for dinner on a Saturday night. My first impression was that the menu had not changed, which was fine since there are several things that I enjoyed in the past. My second impression was surprise that the restaurant was not busy at all compared to Mariano's, located less than 2 miles away on Skillman. Usually at Mariano's on a Saturday, all the tables and booths are taken and the lobby is full of people waiting starting as early as 4pm. At Mi Cocina, I walked right in an was seated at 5pm. I started with the nachos locos and they were as good as I remember. That was my favorite when we were regulars at Mi Cocina. The frozen margarita was tasty, not too strong, but overall a good margarita. I had the Milo's which was a crispy taco, cheese enchilada, and chicken enchilada. It came with rice and beans and I usually substitute black beans but they did not have black beans so I got the bean soup instead, and it was good. I liked everything but it was not quite as good as Mariano's. The wife had the brisket taco and also liked it, although they do not give dipping sauce like at Mariano's and that is her favorite part. Our server was attentive. No complaints about the service. The food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we liked the experience and it will not be 10 years before we return again.

Mi Cocina: Where Bad Planning Meets Delicious RedemptionIt all started on a whim--a Wednesday night whim, to be exact. My wife and I walked into Mi Cocina without a plan or a reservation, just two people craving Mexican food and margaritas. Little did I know, this humble decision would turn into one of the best nights out we've had in ages (and save my hide in the process).We were quickly seated in what can only be described as a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. It wasn't overly busy, so the vibe was relaxed. Our server greeted us with a smile that said, "You're in good hands now." And we were.The drink order set the tone for the evening. My wife, ever the connoisseur, went for a top-shelf margarita with Grand Marnier, while I took the plunge with their signature Mambo Taxi margarita--a frozen masterpiece swirled with sangria. It was smooth, boozy, and dangerously delicious. Both drinks were top-notch, and we toasted to our spontaneity.Before the entrees, our server suggested the trio dip platter: white queso, their classic queso, and guacamole. The chips were so fresh they practically crackled with pride. Everything tasted fantastic, though I couldn't resist my usual crime of over-peppering. My wife just rolled her eyes as if to say, "You're hopeless."Now, when it comes to entrees, my wife has a system. She ordered the veggie fajitas as a way to test if the kitchen relies on precooked veggies swimming in oil or if they cook fresh. Mi Cocina passed with flying colors. The mushrooms were fresh, the translucent onions were cooked to perfection, and the mix of veggies was vibrant and flavorful. She was impressed--and trust me, that's a high bar.I, on the other hand, went all in with the Deluxe 57. It's the kind of dish that could double as a culinary scavenger hunt because it's got a little bit of everything. Every bite was a new adventure, and even though I didn't finish it all, I was thrilled to take home leftovers. Let me tell you, eating Day 2 Deluxe 57 while reminiscing about the night before is a joy that cannot be overstated.The evening reached its peak when the server brought out a surprise slice of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary. That's right--I hadn't planned anything to mark the occasion, but Mi Cocina bailed me out big time. My wife looked at me like I was the most thoughtful husband ever, while I silently thanked Mi Cocina for saving my skin.Everything about the experience was perfect. The food was fresh and delicious, the drinks were stellar, the service was warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself was spotless. I've found my new neighborhood favorite. Mi Cocina isn't just a restaurant--it's my secret weapon for great nights out and emergency anniversary rescues. Highly recommended for amazing food, excellent margaritas, and a reputation-saving slice of chocolate cake!

Traveling for work and came across this place. Very satisfied! The taxi margarita was so tasty. I ordered the fluatas and the Cocina Changa. Sooooo tasty! Great music and very nice staff. Would highly recommend.
