Perfect combo
waitress talked us into the cake and ice cream combo, but frankly the I'd just do the cake next time. (and the port. always the port.)

An absolutely brilliant meal. The GM was also really kind as we were exploring Dallas culinarily; he gave us a list of spots from cheap holes-in-the-walls to established classic restaurants. Caveat that we went back over a year ago, but I am still thinking about the excellence of food and service.

Definitely a 5 star experience! The service was perfect and everything from the oysters to the daily bread to the burger and to the dessert was sooo good. Even the music and ambiance was 5 stars. We were never rushed the whole time we were there. Perfect for date night and there was plenty of seating available even without a reservation on a Friday night!

Every bite was so delicious. This has to be one of the best meals that I've had in Dallas. The bread is made fresh and it is so tasty. It really was a reasonable price for an upscale restaurant. Service is fantastic and you won't be disappointed with anything here. 10/10 will be back soon!

Perfect date night , great staff! The first time I ate here when they first opened, there was the wow factor! However when I came back for the 2nd time, the wow factor was not present. They do have a rotating menu, so some of the pictures below might not be presentThis is what I got on the 2nd time:- Daily bread: super soft and the spread was delicious and soft (5/5)- Regiis Ova caviar: nothing too special (3/5)- Whole octopus: cooked perfect, loved the lime dressing (5/5)- Pao de Queso: (4/5)- beef tartare: I love the blend of shiso and the tartare (5/5)- wood fired half chicken: delicious, but nothing special (3/5)- Rosewood wagyu picanha: 3/5

Three cheers for fine dining! I am thrilled to have discovered Meridian, which addresses - in my opinion - a major need in the Dallas dining scene for upscale food served in a chic, upscale kind of way. It's a completely different vibe from the pricey steakhouses and flashy-instagrammable-nightlcub-esque restaurants that saturates the market. If you're looking for a great meal where you can actually hear what your tablemates are saying, this is a great pick. We dined here on New Years Eve and were really happy with the experience start-to-finish. Our group kicked off with a cocktail at the bar area, with friendly bartenders answering our questions, engaging in banter, and serving up superbly crafted cocktails. The six-course tasting menu was really great and showed a range of technical skill. The laminated brioche, golden and flaky on the outside, melted in my mouth with each buttery layer. The pasta in the duck ragu was delicate and fresh. The scallop was absolute perfection in every way, with a crisp sear on the outside and tender on the inside. I would have been delighted if it had been served without any accompaniments, but the onion broth with miso was out of this world. I loved it! And as someone that doesn't love sugary desserts, I really appreciate that the pavlova was flavorful without being overly sweet. The sommelier, Caitlin, guided us through her hand-picked wine tastings on every course. We loved her selections and she was very thoughtful and thorough in her explanations. I also want to share that the hostess was so welcoming and kind. She didn't bat an eye when I requested a signed menu (it's a memento I collect from tasting menus) and spearheaded the effort to take care of my request. One sidenote - I had heard about the departure of some of Meridian's key culinary staff. But as someone who has only been to the restaurant in the new era, I can confidently say that Meridian is one of the best restaurants in Dallas. It for sure lands a spot in my top 3 establishments. The current team has clearly maintained the restaurant's high standards.I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Meridian and wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant to fellow fine dining enthusiasts. I wish them all the success for many years to come.

I went with my parents recently and we were overjoyed with the incredible service, unique cocktails and delicious food. We were there in the evening, and the dim lights gave a swanky yet welcoming vibe. We really enjoyed our meal and I WILL for sure be back! Here is what we ordered and our ratings:- Uca gnocchi (8/10)- Daily bread (9/10)- Sakura Pork "Au Poivre" (9/10)- Sgt. Pepper Goes to Jalisco (10/10)- Kohlrabi caesar (10/10)- Short rib (10/10)I'll never forget the caesar salad which was anything but traditional. The flavors were out of this world, but it still had the familiar cool crunch of a caesar salad. The short rib was also outstanding - one of the best pieces of beef I had in a long time. If you stop by, definitely go hungry so you can order the daily bread (seasonal) before enjoying your mains!

Pros: inventive food, great service. Cons: very loud and little in the restaurant to muffle the sounds. Meridian was definitely a stand out among the usual Dallas menu that just seems to get remade at half the restaurants around town. The Caesar salad was thin strips coated with dressing- light, fresh and a great new take on a classic. Our server warned us (and was stated on the menu) that the Brazilian cheese bread would take 20+ minutes to cook but I insisted on ordering anyways and I'm glad we did! The big con for me was the overall volume level in the restaurant. As someone who has difficulty hearing it was super challenging to hear across the table. Overall, a wonderful night and I'm coming back again for the fries and drinks.

In one word, my recent visit to Meridian was "lovely". For starters, the space is beautiful, sophisticated, an upscale (but not overly stuffy). The bar and bartenders were awesome! They created a mocktail just for me when I couldn't find anything I wanted on the drink menu and it was absolutely delicious.I'll admit, I'm not by any means an expert on South American cuisine, but everything I had was pretty good. I selected the snapper, risotto and pavlova from the prix fixe menu and had no complaints. The only negative was that despite raves from our server (and our table neighbors), the cabbage based Okonmiyaki was no bueno. The flavor profile just wasn't working, a little too sweet and acidic. Would definitely recommend Meridian if you're looking for a place for a casual yet elegant dinner.

We visited Meridian this past week and immediately loved the clean aesthetic and relaxing ambiance inside. We were seated with a great view of the full working kitchen and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately upon arrival, we were told the chef's tasting menu we originally booked for was unavailable due to the recent departure of their executive chef. We ordered the beef tartare, tuna crudo, sea scallops, roasted duck and beef short rib. The tartare and the tuna crudo were delicious. The scallops were slightly undercooked but had a good coconut flavor. Unfortunately, the duck was too rare for me but I asked the staff if they could try for a more medium rare cook and they were very accommodating. Although, I still did not enjoy the duck, it tasted overly like iron and was quite bitter. The short rib was decent, lacking flavor. The staff was very kind and the food preparation was good overall, but I think flavors were lacking. I am looking forward to trying again once a new executive chef is settled!

Recently tried this place via recommendation and was not disappointed! ** We sat at the bar, so unsure on table service experience. Atmosphere: 5/5 - cute, sleek, modern decor and the entire building is basically glass. Great vibe. Food: 4/5 - we had the oysters, scallops, crispy rice, garganelli, and espresso panna cotta. Drinks: 4/5 - wine list was decent and the house cocktails looked great and well crafted as well. Service: 3/5 - it started off strong as the bar but as the evening picked up, we somewhat transitioned who was helping us and one of our orders was forgotten. The manager fixed it quickly but attentiveness did drop off as more tables were sat. Will definitely go back!
