Marquee is super-easy to work with. Everything you need is on hand, spec sheets are available for all products and set up/tear down is easy. I use them for all major special events and have never had any issues. In fact, they let us add on items last minute as long as they are in stock and never make us feel like it's a hassle.

I have a secret. I looooove Ducky Bob's. Just thinking about it makes me want to have a party.You can rent really basic stuff there all the way up to kick ass, cool ass party stuff. From folding chairs to chivari chairs to clear chairs. You have a particular color of linen you need? They'll probably have it. They have chafing dishes to rent, dishes, glasses... anything you'd need for a party. SO much fun. We even used them when we got married for all of our rentals and everything went really smoothly. We recently had a party at our house and we needed a just one long buffet table and two high cocktail tables. I tried finding somewhere a little closer to my house but Ducky Bob's was pretty much it and they had exactly what I was looking for. The delivery charge was kinda high ($75 I think?) so for just 3 tables it wasn't worth it and we just went and picked them up. We got them on a Saturday morning and brought them back on Monday but they still only charged us for one day, so that was nice. I can see $75 being fair if you're having a big party that required a big delivery, but I really wish they had some other option for the kind of folk that just need a few tables. It's not exactly convenient to get to from Lakewood (over next to Addison Airport), so that was the only drawback about working with them.All in all, they were really nice and helpful on the phone and made it super easy for pick up/drop off. I can definitely see us using them again.

I'm a dodo when it comes to party rentals, but thankfully Leslie and the crew at Ducky Bob's helped me get the right stuff without stressing. I called up looking for chairs and linens, but really had no idea what kind to order. Leslie worked up a variety of numbers, prices and options until I finally settled on my order. The phone call was easy, pressure-free and rather quick!When I arrived to pick up my order, the front desk receptionist giggled with a warm smile and gave me easy instructions on how to pick up and return the stuff. I felt like I was in a mom and pop shop that truly appreciated my business!The dock guys weren't "friendly" per say, but heck... who would be if you had to load stuff all day long? Everything was neatly organized and my order was put to the side so it was clear what I had. The return process was just as easy!It was a 5 star experience, no doubt about it. But I have to dock a star because if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for delivery, you have to drive out to Carrollton for pick up/returns. And there isn't any exciting about Midway and Trinity Mills.

A summary for those who want only the high points:1) Delivery & pickup dates changed twice, with no regard for the fact that I'd have to pay extra rental fees at my facility.2) Tables with eating surfaces in such disrepair that people got splinters when setting them up, & I had a difficult time getting my decorations to remain upright.3) Mismatched tablecloths.4) Forgot my pickup date. I had to call the original delivery driver (thank goodness I reached him), who sent someone else for the pickup.5) No followup call.What follows is a detailed description, for those who care to read it.My wedding was on 12/31/11. I made arrangements 6 weeks in advance to rent tables, tablecloths, chairs & chafing dishes. My contract specified delivery on 12/30/11 & pickup on 1/2/12.Three weeks after paying in full and receiving a contract, I was told that management had since decided 12/30 & 1/2 were company holidays & that my delivery/pickup dates had moved to 12/29 & 1/3. This wasn't a request/inquiry about convenience; it was presented as a done deal. The email with the info even contained a contract with the new dates about which I was never consulted. I told them politely that I'd have to pay to rent the facility for two extra days to accommodate the change & that if they couldn't honor the original dates I'd have to cancel the order & take my chances elsewhere, as I had no other place to store the rental items.Two days before my wedding I received another email stating that the pickup date had again been changed to 1/3. I reminded them they'd already tried to change the dates once & that I was assured the original dates would be honored. They told me they'd make sure someone was available to work the holiday. I apologized profusely for making someone do that, but explained that my budget & schedule were based on the original dates. They assured me it was no problem.I understand that everyone wants time off near the holidays. But Ducky Bob's is a party-rental company: I can't imagine I'm the only customer who's had an event during holiday season, or who would be burdened with extra facility-rental fees if dates were changed. Even if I am, I believe the dates in my original contract never should have been in question.Cut to 12/30: The delivery driver called me on time & was at the facility very early in the promised 4-hour window. That was a positive.However, six of the ten tables had large chunks of wood/paneling missing from the eating surfaces. I let it slide, since I had tablecloths to cover them. But upon setup several people got splinters from sharp pieces of wood sticking out of the tables. Even with tablecloths & table runners the surfaces were uneven, making it difficult for some of my decorations to remain upright. And I noticed too late that only nine of the tablecloths were a matte finish; the last one was a satin finish, noticeably different from the others. The chairs & chafing dishes were fine.Pickup was scheduled between 8:00 AM & noon on 1/2/12. I arrived at the facility on time, thinking I'd be the only pickup (company holiday!) & that they'd arrive early. Nope. At 9:30 AM I called the main number as well as the personal number of my rep. No one answered. At 10:00 AM I remembered I had the delivery driver's number in my cell phone. I called him & his wife answered. I explained my situation & she asked me to hang on. I heard her talking to someone then the phone went dead. I called back twice & got no answer. I called the manager of the facility I rented & they graciously agreed to let me keep the items there for an extra day, free of charge, & arrange to have a board member let Ducky Bob's in to retrieve their items.Finally, though, around 11:00 AM the delivery driver called to say he'd dispatched someone else for pickup. That person showed up around 11:30, clearly having been roused from holiday relaxation. I felt terrible about it. I apologized to him & helped him load things onto the truck. I never received a follow up call from anyone at Ducky Bob's to apologize for the inconvenience or the shoddy tables, or even to ask if everything worked out all right. I guess they got their stuff back & that was enough for them.Perhaps this is one-off episode of bad luck for me with an otherwise good company, but I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

I rented tables and chairs from Ducky-Bob's for my wedding.The ordering process was very easy, everyone but the receptionist was super nice and it was all very well priced. Claude was very helpful and knowledgeable. (Thank you Claude!!)Everything was delivered the day before my wedding and was picked up the following Monday.I had a really good experience with Ducky-Bob's and if I have another party that requires rentals I will not hesitate to call them again.

The BEST event facility hands down! Had my 50th birthday party here, talk with the planner and explained to her everything I wanted. Erica provided that and more! Never missing a beat and I didn't have to lift a finger. They also have all the vendors you need under one roof. Had 2 of my friends to book the facility on the night of my party.... Beth with Marquee Rentals was so amazing, gracious & helpful when we needed to schedule a last minute tent rental to host a family gathering after a funeral service in this crazy pandemic season - trying to provide safe, social distancing amidst a grieving family with rain in the forecast. We hired Marquee Events in August for a party event rental - the chairs they provided became so hot that the melted the turf we placed them on. Upon order, their staff never asked how they would be used or where they would be placed. Nor after order acceptance or upon delivery did Marquis recommend to place the chairs on ground covering or that we should place elsewhere due to prevent possible damage. It took 3 months to respond to our concerns to only state they will offer nothing. Bygone are the days of quality client service or accountability.
