Mardi Gras Cajun Cuisine

Was craving some Cajun food while visiting Dallas and saw that this place also had slushy alcoholic drinks. We ordered 2 medium daiquiris, Very Sexy and Head Banger, 1lb shrimp boil box, 2 piece catfish and 6 piece fried shrimp w/jambalaya, 2 hush puppies, 1 crab cake, and the Cajun fried corn. I ordered the fried okra but the lady helping me probably thought I said corn. It was my fault that I didn't double check my order that was on the screen but I was pleasantly surprised when I got home to try it. All of the food that we got was seasoned well and it had a ton of flavor. I like how the shrimp boil had ez peel shrimp and the seasoning penetrated everything in the bag. The fried shrimps were good but I would probably just order more fried catfish next time. The drink were sweet but not too sweet. I will be visiting this place again when I go back to Dallas.

This is my second choice, my first choice was Royal Daiquiri but unfortunately they've been EVICTED. I know it happens but I'll still travel 30 plus minutes away from home to always show my support to Black Owned businesses.

I was craving some fried seafood and I'm so glad I came across this place while browsing yelp. I ordered the catfish, jambalaya and shrimp plate. As well as the 1lb shrimp boil. Everything had FLAVOR! Whatever seasoning that was in the food was just spot on. Everything had a small kick to it. Wasn't able to finish the shrimp boil and was able to reheat it the next day and it reheated beautifully! Also had ordered a Daquiri as well and I couldn't even taste the alcohol but I definitely felt it haha

I was coming to this location to get a shrimp Po Boy, it's no longer on the menu. I'm not sure how to feel about this. So I decided to order something else. The Fried fish and Gumbo. Even though the piece of fish was huge, it still tastes like catfish and not Swai. The gumbo is not gumbo, idk what type of concoction they done made. This tasted more like a stew than Gumbo. Wasn't worth is at all. If I decide to try them again, it's only going to be for the Daquiris.

I love the atmosphere the staff is on point the food is outstanding.. I've enjoyed come here for the last three years ..

Omg there lemon cake was so freakin tasty! You can totally tell it's homemade and there funnel cake the girl working the counter took time to explain they place there batter in a waffle iron and then fry it which treats it as if it were a beignet. It was so delicious as well! Did not get a chance to try there daiquiris out but will totally be back they all sounded so good!

The best daiquiri ive had in dallas!! Most daiquiri places lack total flavor but not this joint!!! Coming from living in houston& visiting NOLA often i loveeeeeee this place. Keith the manager is the most helpful, sweet & knowledgeable man He makes my visits worth it. They dont miss with the food either! The catfish slaps.. the crab cakes are on point ugh i wish this place wasnt across the street from my new job cause they can have all my money! Its a hidden gem dont sleep on it

Customer service- 10/10- courteous -ensured order correct. Always smiling and friendly.Food: Turkey necks were 7/10 - should not be called cajun - Seasoned well / tender but not at all Cajun like expected from Louisiana. Shrimp- we're 10/10 tasted really good fried perfectly. Lemon pepper wings were 9/10 hubby liked, Buffalo wings 1/10 they were fried with breading that was soggy soggy.The look and taste were very off putting could not eat them, Peach cobbler was a solid 7/10 due to taste. Would probably be an 8-9/10 if fresh and not reheated. the greens were an utter disappointment (canned or frozen no sure). They were mushy Zero flavor and a tiny serving for 7.99 (could not eat them either). Red beans & Rice OK could definitely use meat, i know everyone does not eat pork but smoked Turkey necks would drastically improve the flavor, 5/10. Boudin balls 9/10 again slightly overly priced for serving size. The daiquiris were OK not much alcohol content but flavor was pretty good 7.5/10. Overall, after a few trips will go back, but as another reviewer stated probably for the daiquiris but I would also order the Turkey necks, and Boudin. I Want to try the funnel cakes but no Eat in option to Order and eat fresh after your meal so I'll have to try on a trip on that side of town when I'm craving sweets.
